Beds are comfortable and the rooms quite large. Nice spot to sit at a table for two. However there is no fridge in the room. Each floor has a “shared kitchen” which means a mini bar fridge for approx 20 rooms. I found the fridge completely full of other people’s stuff on arrival. It’s more of a fancy hostel with your own room than it is a hotel. Bathroom is tiny and almost see through so you can have the joy of watching each other through the glass. Overall not a bad price or value but more for younger people in their 20s looking for something better than a hostel.
Staff are so friendly and helpful.
The location is awesome within walking distance of the vibing Smith St filled with bars, restaurants, cafes, vintage stores.
The King room was clean and modern but didn't enjoy the frosted glass bathroom (not great for toilet privacy) and one side of the bed is pushed up against the window.

The property is exceptionally clean, well maintained, and equipped with modern facilities that make the stay both easy and comfortable.
It also has a great atmosphere with a genuinely chilled vibe, while being conveniently located close to the city and surrounded by laid-back bars and restaurants. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, modern, and hassle-free stay.
Lyf Collingwood Melbourne is located in a lovely neighborhood that feels both relaxed and lively at the same time, which made the stay very enjoyable. There are plenty of charming cafés, restaurants, and small local shops nearby, so it was nice to take a walk around the area and explore.
The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, which made it easy to unwind after a long day. Staffs were also friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. Especially, Hannah was incredibly kind and helpful—her warm hospitality really stood out.
The hotel is also well connected to public transport, making it easy to get around the city and visit different areas. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would happily choose this hotel again on my next trip! 😄
Loved staying here! Everything was super smooth from the check in to check out. The room was perfect and had everything we needed. The bed was also super comfortable omg! So cozy! They had a place to refill our water, kitchen or place to cook in several areas, lots of games, working spaces, free coffee, and sooo many cute palaces nearby to shop and eat! Loved the area a lot! Highly recommend!
