Thank you so much . Absolutely beautiful and magical time . We really needed this escape and the windows looking at into the huge ancient gumtrees was just out of this world and seemed like a movie backdrop or a post card. The rain in the morning on the leaves just the most beautiful sound and the trees in the mist just spectacular! I can’t give this place enough stars . Those who give it less are hard to please that’s for sure ❤️

We were looking forward to our stay, however the property did not meet expectations. The photo displayed inside the cabin — and used in the listing — dates back to 2007 and does not reflect the current condition, especially of the spa. • Driveway is extremely rough and poorly maintained, caused damage to our car and not as shown in photos. • Strong smell of old fireplace smoke inside; difficult to ventilate due to no fly screens on doors or windows. • Outdoor spa was the main reason for booking but was nothing like the listing photos. • Spa was dirty, water was cool, temperature kept resetting and turning off. • Strong unpleasant smell (similar to dirty fish tank water) made the spa unusable; odour remained in swimwear after washing. • Spa headrests were faded and mouldy; spa area furniture was old, brittle, and mouldy. • Outdoor areas had extensive cobwebs, mould, and had not been cleaned for some time. • Veranda furniture was rusty, dirty, uncomfortable, and not as shown in photos; old food remnants present. • Laundry only accessible from outside due to locked internal door; washing machine was dirty; downstairs area was musty with visible mould. • Bathroom had mould in grout, broken fittings, and only a partial roll of toilet paper provided. • Bedroom pillow had dried residue on it and had not been properly cleaned. • Kitchen cleanliness was poor, with old food on the cooktop and grease dripping from the rangehood. • Overall cleanliness, maintenance, and hygiene did not reflect the listing photos and significantly impacted our stay.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!! The property we booked was far from the advertised “luxury” and in serious need of maintenance. The price charged for such substandard accommodation felt exorbitant and deeply disappointing. The blinds were a health hazard, covered in visible mold, bacteria, dead insects, and were worn and warped. The shower was also moldy and in need of repair. Cobwebs were prevalent throughout the entire cottage, creating an unclean atmosphere. The furniture was outdated, damaged, scratched, and uncomfortable. The walls needed patching and repainting, and dust covered every surface, with food debris found under the coffee table. The broken fireplace latch posed a serious safety risk. Overall, the property was rundown, outdated, and not maintained. This booking was a significant expense for our family, saved for over a long time, and in today’s economy, such a loss is devastating. We were left without the getaway we hoped for and significantly out of pocket. We did the right thing prior to posting this review by contacting the owner and no surprise that our message went unanswered. Treatment however to the lack of care and attentiveness this owner provides. Book at your our own peril!!

The photos of the tree house with double deck is not the lochneil house, we found the advertisement to be misleading as we were expecting something much nicer than a run down spider infested cottage. Not safe for families with young children. We stayed for only two hours before being forced to leave due to spiders. The house is so dissapointing. The owner is hard to communicate with, and we were offered a $250 back from paying over $550 for the night. There are much nicer places around the area, avoid this place. It is so run down, dusty, huge spiders in every corner (literally every single corner from roof to walls and furniture all spider infested) and smells of mould. The last guest left clothes behind that were still hanging in wardrobe. So creepy. This place screams neglect. We booked based on the 5 star reviews which are far far from what the reality of the place is. Wish i could post the photos, horrible experience. Never again.
