This place is perfect! I was only staying a couple nights for an event at Monash university, which just a couple minutes drive from this quaint hotel/travel motel. Turns out they had a sauna and a pool as part of the gym and the room had a working spa tub. It was the perfect remedy after a long journey. Staff were genuinely friendly, cheeful, and helpful. Rooms were quiet and clean. There are comfortable breakfast and bar/sitting areas. This will be the first place I book next time I'm in the area.

I remember staying here more than 10 years ago before I started uni, so I decided to come back and stay for one night to experience the place again. There was definitely a bit of nostalgia involved, but honestly, I found the property a little too run down for my liking now. The service was good, and the staff were helpful. I actually had some trouble opening my room door when I first arrived, and thankfully a staff member was nearby to show me that I had to push the handle fully down before the door would open. It worked, but the door itself definitely felt like it could use some maintenance. Once inside, the carpet felt a little dusty, and I was hoping there would be some disposable slippers provided, but I couldn't find any. On the positive side, the bathroom was pretty clean, and there was even a bathtub, which was a nice addition even though I wouldn't consider it a necessity. I was a little surprised that there wasn't a toothbrush set provided, especially since body wash and shampoo were available. Overall, the service was good and it was nice to revisit somewhere I stayed more than a decade ago, but the room itself doesn't feel particularly well maintained anymore. The nostalgic experience was nice, although I think the property could benefit from some refurbishment and a little more attention to the smaller details.
Holidaying for a second time in their disability access room ( 3). Room provides good access with a roll in bathroom. Clean , comfortable and spacious. Grounds tidy and maintained. Previous visit had cooked breakfasts and buffet. Currently has a free continental breakfast which is good value Staff are friendly responsive, helpful and assist with the delivery of disability equipment from local firms eg lifters. Hotel is 30 minutes drive to the Dandenong Ranges and 60 minutes from the Yarra Valley, so touring is easy. In its hey day the hotel boasted a resort with an Italian Restaurant " Six 30 "and bar" Five o'clock shadow "as well as a pool.spa and sauna.Sadly none of these currently operate. However the hotel represents excellent value for accommodation.
Rooms well appointed, but tired. still advertises Bistro, but this is shut. Does breakfast, supposed to start at 7am, but was 7:30, not useful. Overall a motel trading on its past service, not its current poor offering
We stayed for 8 nights from 6th Dec. Room 11 was very basic. The height of the tub to get into to have a shower was impossible to climb into with a bad knee. Asked for a change and they said not possible. Breakfast was the same everyday. Giving us the last room 11 was inconsiderate. Of course we are brown skin. We were 3 in a room .one queen and one single. Price was good. Not enough cleaning staff.
