This property was great. The location was fantastic, secure with locked gates. No traffic noise. Clean and comfortable room with an extremely comfortable bed and great shower. Coffee machine was a nice touch, with everything you need supplied. Even though check-in was at a different property, it wasn't that hard.

Really stupid system of having reception 20 mins away from the hotel. I called in the morning and was told check in was 24 hours. Got there at night only to find it was in a different location. Also the hotel is just a disgusting motel the faces the parking lot. Tiny rooms and stained furniture and carpets. Mould in the bathroom! Would never stay there again!
It was noted that one has to travel to a different location to check in and obtain the key card to the location. If one does not have a car, this is incredibly inconvenient, no matter what forewarning customers are provided. So I wonder if customers are informed of this prior to booking and paying as this can be potentially deceptive conduct if this information is not shared prior to booking. Not only that, there were three staff at the receiving reception at a time just idly chit chatting when I checked in where the actual site has a reception office that is completely unattended. So why not send one of them there? Is that really such a hard thing to do? I stayed for a single night and a $300 deposit was requested, which is greater than the cost of the one nights stay. Even the Mantra, Quest and Ibis Hotel chains do not do this. This was returned to me, but that is beside the point. When one is in the hospitality industry, it should be the focus to make ones paying customers stays as easy and enjoyable as possible. Then so many of these other 1 star reviews and the damage control arising from them might be avoided. So readers, make of this what you will and make your choice.
Booked here for a trip to Melbourne at the end of October. Check in was a mission, despite having had corrospondence with the property beforehand, I had to prompt the very disinterested staff member checking me in to review the notes. My room wasn't clean. I mean it was in parts but there was visible dust build up on so many surfaces. The safe was locked, in room phone didn't work and the ironing board cover was ruined. Despite contacting reception and being advised all 3 things would be addressed, none were. Bed was reasonably comfortable but the pillows were terrible quality. I felt as though I was an inconvenience for calling them. Location was good but that was about it for positives. Would not recommend.
Like many of the other reviews I cannot recommend this property. I have stayed three times and there will not be a fourth. The check in process is convoluted and awkward involving attending reception at another property 2 kms away . Ok i now know that and dealt with it. However, i called the next morning to request an additional night extension. The room was available, the rate acceptable but…. I would have to travel the 2 kms to the Barkly st property to enter my PIN in their eftpos machine!! How is it I can purchase goods in other countries but they can’t extend my stay after i have already checked in??. It was simpler to check out and move to the Quest a 5 min walk away.
