Best Western Airport Motel & Convention Centre

No thank you. I stayed here for a quick overnight based on the reviews but I was very sorry I did. What should have been a very short shuttle ride ended up being almost an hour due to a traffic jam (which I understand is no fault of the motel). This is a very dated motel. It was after dark on arrival and I had to walk through a very dark parking lot with very little outside lighting and down an alleyway to an old dilapidated doorway to my room. I did not feel safe at all and in fact went back to the front desk to request a room closer because I wasn't comfortable with the dark alley. The staff was nice and did find me another room closer to the front building but it was still down a dark alley. When I came out early in the morning and went to the front desk again it was locked with a sign on the door that they were running an airport shuttle... So there was not even a person on site - this made me even more uneasy... What if there had been an emergency? I will not stay here again despite the friendly staff. Next time I will stay at an on-site property at the airport for an overnight.

The staff were ALL absolutely fantastic. Helpful, friendly, polite and professional. I've had much worse staff at much much more expensive hotels. The room was very basic but quite large and pleasant. The bathroom was renovated and in excellent clean condition. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic! The attached restaurant, Reflections, was amazing. I ordered room service dinner and it was absolutely perfect. So nice, and exactly as I'd ordered it. Also had breakfast in the restaurant and it was great. I cannot commend the staff highly enough, they were all so fantastic. It was a smooth easy stay with literally zero issues. If I'm in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

I had such a wonderful experience at Best Western Airport Motel & Convention Centre. From my very first interaction, everyone was incredibly welcoming, kind, and professional. The entire team was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant staff were especially outstanding. They are a real credit to the hotel. I truly appreciate the care and professionalism shown by everyone. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service and genuine hospitality.

Cleanest room I've had in a long time. Bed was so comfortable. Room size generous. Cleanest bathroom ever. Loved the price for last minute booking and got buffet breakfast included. I was also able to have a very late checkout. So appreciated and needed. Only 10 minutes from airport. Free shuttle bus. Athena in the Restaurant was amazing. Couldn't do enough for me and full of helpful suggestions for where to go and what to do. Alan reception and driver so helpful and pleasant. Even with my 2 heavy bags. He even grabbed me a trolley for my luggage on returning to airport. All these small things adds up to one massive enjoyable stay. My new go to for quick visits to Melbourne.
