Our guide was very personalable and very knowledgeable about the castle and the underwater museum. We spent over two hours in the castle, exploring all of its components. Enjoyed this a lot, but we could have had a rest stop or two. Guide recommended a good restaurant for lunch. I did not like having to go to a carpet demonstration and attempt to sell carpet. Also did not like having to go to a leather shop for another selling attempt.

Bodrum Castle (Saint Peter's Castle) One of Bodrum's most iconic structures, Bodrum Castle was built by the Knights of St. John in the 15th century. One of the best-preserved medieval castles on the Aegean coast, the structure has carried traces of different cultures with the addition of a mosque during the Ottoman period. While there are different sections such as French, English, German and Italian towers inside the castle, visitors can enjoy the magnificent view of the Aegean Sea. In addition to being a military structure, the castle is one of the most important symbols of Bodrum's cultural and historical identity today.
Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum The Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum, located inside Bodrum Castle, is considered one of the most important underwater museums in the world. The museum, which exhibits artifacts unearthed from shipwreck excavations in the Aegean and Mediterranean, sheds light on maritime history. Among the most striking exhibitions in the museum are: Uluburun Shipwreck (one of the oldest shipwrecks in the world, dating back to the 14th century BC), Glass Shipwrecks Collection, Amphorae, jewelry and objects related to seafaring, and shipwrecks from the Ottoman and Roman periods.
Myndos Gate, which is part of the defensive walls of ancient Halicarnassus (Bodrum), was built by King Mausolus. This is one of the points where Alexander the Great encountered the greatest resistance when he tried to conquer the city in 334 BC. The remains of the gate include ancient city walls, moats and buried tomb structures. Myndos Gate, one of the most important historical remains of Bodrum's ancient past, is a point not to be missed for history enthusiasts.
One of the symbols of Bodrum, Bodrum Windmills were built in the 18th century and were used for wheat milling in the region for many years. Located between Bodrum and Gumusluk, these historical mills offer a fascinating view, especially at sunset.
One of the oldest structures in Bodrum, Bodrum Ancient Theatre was built in the 4th century BC during the reign of King Mausolus of Caria. The structure, which has the typical features of Hellenistic period theatres, has a capacity of 13,000 people and still hosts concerts and events today. The view from the theatre towards Bodrum Castle and the Aegean Sea offers a unique atmosphere to visitors.
Visiting local handicraft center to experience producing process.

Had a wonderful day with our guide Tas, and our driver Boss. Tas is very knowledgeable and friendly, and speaks very good English, so no problem to understand. Both Tas and Boss were very accommodating - gave us total flexibility on what to do and when. Totally enjoyed the day, and so happy to know that Tas is going to be our guide again tomorrow in Kusadasi. Sorry to hear that Boss won’t be our driver again.
A private tour is the way to go. Our first stop was Antik Tiyatro(Old Theater). Our guide, Derya, told us about the theater and suggested photo points and took photos of me. The next stop was the Windmills of Bodrum which overlooked a bay. We stopped here for some local coffee and pomegranate juice. Next was Myndos Gate followed by a visit to a local rug showroom where rug making was displayed along with beautiful completed rugs. Our last stop was at Bodrum Castle. All along the way, Derya told stories of the sites visited and took photos of me at the sites.
The 2nd half of our tour took us to a carpet place where we were high pressured into buying a carpet/rug for a lot of money. It took up half the time. The rugs we bought are beautiful but the pressure was not a great experience. The Bodrum castle portion was wonderful and our guide was very knowledgeable
Derya was truly amazing! She was so informative and friendly. She gave us so much insight on Türkiye through past and present. At the end she also recommended a wonderful authentic spot for lunch that could not have been more incredible and delicious. I would highly recommend this tour and if you can get Derya - it will be a true highlight!
This was a private tour. Our tour guide,Ada, was incredible!! She knew all the pertinent history about each site visited and also gave us insight into local current cultural practices- she answered every question thoroughly and with deep knowledge and excellent English.Transportation was very roomy and nice and we also had a personal driver. Great value with a personal touch. Highly recommend this tour and request Ada.
We loved our fun day. The tour of the castle was incredible and tas was so awesome with so much knowledge of the history. He took us to a great place for lunch and even got me a Diet Coke because the restaurant only had Pepsi products. Haha #highmaintenance he took us to a Turkish rug company and it was incredible!!! We loved it all.
Our private tour of Bodrum was wonderful! Our tour guide Selin was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and engaging. We went to the castle, the windmills and the theater, but we experienced so much more with some shopping and a stop for tea/coffee! Highly recommend the tour and especially the tour guide!
We really have a good time in this tour. Our guide YiYi takes care of us as a family. Explain with details in every spot and bring us to taste local food and beers. We really recommends her as a tour guide.
Very informative, lovely car, castle was amazing, and the views were spectacular. Would recommend.
Ugur was amazing, so knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended
Ugur so cool tour guide, really knowledgeable, polite
Great tour. Ugur was very knowledgeable!! Got us back to ship on time. Very happy
If you are a cruiser, or staying in Bodrum for a few days, this is the perfect tour to get an overview of the history of Bodrum and to see the top sites. Our guide, Tugba (pronounced Tuba), was very well informed, very engaging, had a pleasant sense of humor and was more than happy to answer questions and share anything we wanted to know about Turkey and the culture and the Bodrum area. I would recommend her highly! The admission fee to the castle the museum was an extra €28. They only took lira so we had topay by credit card. The van was comfortable and air conditioned. We were on a cruise ship and the price for the cruise ship tour was the same as the price we paid for this tour but instead of a tour bus full of people, it was just two of us. Don’t hesitate to take this tour.
Seline was a fabulous tour guide. We really enjoyed all of the information and education and hospitality. She gave us so many reasons to return and spend more time exploring. Perfect way to get a taste of Bodrum.
Gigi was a fantastic & knowledgeable guide. We saw all of the historical sights of the city. It was 3 1/2 hours a perfect amount of time.
Gokce was our outstanding guide on this private tour of Bodrum. She was knowledgeable and we really felt at home with her.she guided us at our pace and we thoroughly enjoyed our excursion experience.
Mert, our guide contacted us the day before with our tickets and all necessary details. Trip day, we were met just outside the port terminal on time, then head off on our tour. Mert showed us around historical sites, the old windmills - here is an awesome panoramic view over the two bays at Bodrum, over to Kos and down on the city, it's quite taking. The historical sites are wonderful - Bodrum Ancient Theatre, Myndos Gate, Bodrum Castle ( here there are very steep steps and over a hundred step to get to top) - this is the only chargeable tourist attraction, but worth it if your able. Lots of information about the sites, island, history, etc. Went to a carpet weaving shop - it's part of your trip. We went for lunch to Korfez, our guide recommended it. It's a local Turkish 4 generation restaurant, lovely menu, simple, and very good food and service - also very reasonable prices. We had time - as much as we wanted to walk around, shop, etc. It was nice, shop keepers are very eager to get you into their shops, loads of genuine fakes....... After giving our guide 10 minutes notice, we were picked up and brought back to the cruise terminal. We really enjoyed our tour and Mert is a really nice guy, facts and figures, funny, helpful, we could not have wished for more or better! The tours are private, so they are personal, our driver Mustafa was really good, nice mercedes vehicle, water provided as well. Definitely worth using this company especially if you get Mert as your guide!
Eylem was a terrific guide. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Bodrum and made the most out of our short time in town.
Ada is a fabulous tour guide and we learned a lot about Bodrum’s ancient history. She is so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We want to come back to Bodrum and explore some more!
John was awesome. On time, knowledgeable, friendly and patient. We have mobility issues and he kept the pace perfect. His knowledge of history and area fact was awesome for a young man. Extremely enjoyed our day.
Our tour guide allowed us to read each sign and enjoy the historic sites while keeping us on schedule. We enjoyed a local lunch with our guide and driver
I can’t say enough about this awesome experience with our tour guide Esan! She instantly felt as if she was family. She literally guided and advised us throughout our day. Her generosity made our trip to Turkey exceptional. This tour is a must do!

This private tour was amazing! Our driver Ali and tour guide Selene was wonderful! Private tour with me and my husband was intimate and Seline is so knowledgeable with Bodrum! Tour and shopping spots! Very stylish Maybach ride! Lovely day! Would recommend to anyone looking for personal private attention!
Our tour was good. I was surprised by the stop at the carpet and jewlery shop as it wasn't noted in the itineray. We were able to customize parts to make it more accessible to our whole group. Our guide TAS was very nice.
Some people visiting the castle might have difficulty with the stairs, however, Gigi our guide was good and had us go down rather than up the steepest stairs. Our guide was very knowledgeable, considerate and helpful. The private car was a Mercedes van with custom interior. They provided us with cold water. We would recommend that you ask for Gigi.
Excellent trip with Tad snd Boss. He was very personable and knowledgeable would recommend.!

My wife and I did a 4-5 hour tour and enjoyed the history lesson from Derya. She was flexible on meeting our needs from both a time and itinerary perspective. Her driver was courteous and professional as well.

I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting!
Celine contacted us the day before the tour to let us know our tour was confirmed and to introduce herself. She met us at the bodrum port stop with my name so we can easily identify her. Haydar ( the driver ) took us to the castle and gave us a very detail tour around the castle. She also pointed out good photo stops to take pictures. We then went to the theater, carpet and leather store to do some shopping. Celine also took us to the windmill where we had juices with a beautiful view. Overall a great experience, highly recommend.
