Perge Aspendos Side Waterfall Tour

I give this tour four and a half stars. The only reason I would not give it five is the lunch. I understand it is included in the tour, but the quality could have been better, with more options, and definitely a vegetarian option for those who want it. The fish was actually good, but the appetizers could have been a little more plentiful, and the service was not that friendly. It felt very automatic and robotic. That is really my only feedback. Everything else was great. We had a wonderful tour guide, Aziz, who was fantastic. Yunus, who picked us up at the hotel, was extremely friendly, and he also helped us arrange a taxi to the airport, which was really kind of him. If they can figure out a better lunch option, this is definitely a five-star tour. We did a lot, we got a lot of information, and we got to see a lot as well.

Great tour and exceptional tour guide. Fatima provided us with an excellent understanding of the sites we visited and was incredibly engaging and funny throughout. We would strongly recommend this tour to anyone.

It was an amazing tour of Perges, Aspendos and Side! Our guide Kağan (or the joker) was amazing! He was full of useful information but was also funny and entertaining. The historic ruins at all 3 places were incredible but were really brought to life by Kağan with all his interesting stories! It would not have been the same seeing those beautiful sights without him as a guide. The whole day was great! Perges, Aspendos and Side should not be missed!

First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to Yunus at Solymos Travel. I booked three tours with him and this was the first. His advice on which to do based on my interests was excellent and yesterday’s lived up to all my expectations. It was a full day starting with an 8.20 from the hotel. We first visited Perge with its amazing ancient ruins including the theatre and Roman baths. The guide Khan was brilliant!!! Very knowledgeable and he had a real passion for sharing his incredible insights on this place and the others we were to visit. He explained everything very clearly and showed us around the site before giving us a little time to ourselves. Before I go any further I should say the timing at all the stops was perfect. We seemed to arrive everywhere just before the crowds of people and the time allotted for each stop was spot on. The next stop was Apsendos where Khan continued to share his remarkable historical knowledge. Do you know the difference between a theatre and an amphitheater? Well, I didn’t either until this tour. There were so many snippets of interesting information - I’m sure you will be impressed! We then had lunch (which was OK - nothing amazing but it was included in the cost of the tour) before proceeding to the waterfall. This was a nice short stop, but it really didn’t warrant too much more time there. Side, on the other hand, was our final stop. Here Khan did his excellent guiding once again before giving is a little time to walk around ourselves. It was actually just enough time to see a few other places and get a pomegranate beer (definitely a must for beer drinkers and a must must if you like pomegranate too). After this we headed back to our hotels. Fortunately, I was one of the people in the first drop off so was back by 5pm. However, it was a very small group with only 8 people so I don’t envisage the others getting back much later. All in all, it was a very enjoyable tour with a great guide!!!

Fatima is a very informative, professional guide keeping everything enjoyable and organised. Perge is a fascinating site and Aspendos superb. Excellent local Turkish lunch. Didn't need the waterfall stop - much too commercial. Side is beautiful but has changed its character from 2 years ago.

Got a good overview of these historical sites with a guide who had lots of knowledge. It was well organised and they even organised a 2nd transport due to high interest in the tour. Well worth a day out.

Communication of pick up times , the itinerary for the day by the company and the guide was excellent. The trip gave a good introduction to the places visited. As with these trips a little longer at each venue would be welcome but it was packed day so it was a good balance between free time and guided time. The Guide was excellent. Lunch was good and the restaurant made a veggie dish for those who were vegetarian. The trip was for 18 people max but there were 12 of us so mini bus was not crowded. We beat all the bigger tour buses so we had Perge almost to ourselves. Over all good company to go with and I thought good value for money.

Amazing experience and the guide was very good. The transport was comfortable as well and timely pick up.

Finally! What a great tour without the usual sales stops. Our guide Tuly was EXCEPTIONAL and driver Mehmet a careful driver. We learnt so much from Tuly who has over 30 years experience as a guide. The restaurant for lunch was authentic home style with excellent food. I wish all our experiences had been as good as this! You can book directly with them.

It was a very nice trip with Cigil as our guide and Adil as a driver. We got a lot of interesting insights about ancient history and as well timing was just perfect. Thank you!

The best Travel agency in Antalya. I met the agency’s co-owner Levent accidentally, just walking along the downtown. I had no idea where to go and Levent offered me the best option ever - Perge, Aspendos and Manavgat waterfall. It was just what I wanted to have during my short trip. The trip was very well organized, the guide Ömer was super professional, even when it was raining he kept telling us about sightseeings and history. The group was mixed, but everyone was English speaking and it was nice cross-cultural exchange. Very much recommended!

The tour to Perge, Aspendos and Side was a well organized tour. It went smooth and by the plan. The tour guide, Çigil, was excellent, she guided us through the ancient sites giving explanations and answering questions, and did everything for the tour to be enjoyable. I endorse this tour.

We had an excellent tour to Aspendos etc with tour guide Çığıl and Solymos tours. She knew her history of the ancient sites we visited and she had a wonderful attitude - always with a smile. Having a smaller tour group was nice too. The large busses with the cruise ships and maybe other tour operators did not make for easy understanding during the tour.

Really good tour. We went to Perge, Aspendos, Manavgat waterfall and Side. Cigil, our tour guide, was fantastic and Mehmet, the driver was also very good. Cigil is very knowledgeable and talks just the right amount, enough to engage you. We had sufficient time for ourselves too. Would highly recommend this day tour. Antalya was our 3rd city in the 3rd week of our month visit to Turkey. Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, then Cappadocia. We already had two terrible hired drivers, by other companies, and were a little Leary. But relieved that our driver drove calmly without speeding. Our tour guide, nickname-Snowflake, was the consummate professional. She was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Just a joy to talk with about anything. Great sense of humor. We were given plenty of opportunities for photos and exploring. The history and stories along with language and cultural explanations were fascinating to hear. Booking this tour just one day early worked out great. Lunch was delicious. I recommend this company to everyone.

We had an excellent day out with our tour guide Cugil. She shared a lot of information about the history of each place visited, and some tips about local customs. Stops were beautiful, great for photos. Highly recommended if you have a day to spend in Antalya!

We had a really good trip today! Two parents and a teenager, who even enjoyed herself and the youre (phew!) Our guide was super informative and amazing! A note to anyone staying in the Side area, this is the only tour on Tripadvisor that would allow us to book even though we weren’t staying in Antalya. We put our hotel and someone got in touch, and we paid an extra €60 euros, and the company sorted out a fancy taxi for us to meet the tour at the first location. We were happy to pay the extra, as without this, we wouldn’t have been able to go and see these amazing places.

The views are amazing. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Had a great time, would highly recommend going with the crew.

Thoroughly enjoyed our day with Mehmet guiding us through these wonderful ancient sites. Mehmet is extremely knowledgeable on the sites and their history, and gave great insight and background understanding to Anatalya and Turkiye during the tour. Enjoyed his company, talks and approach. These are such rich historical sites (particularly Perge) that we intend to go back and explore further. Thank you to Levent, who organised the trip and was wonderful as well. We highly recommend this trip and Mehmet as guide.

Very informative trip, there were quite a few things we would have missed if we had booked the trip ourselves. We had originally planned to only go to Perge, but now I am very glad that we booked this trip especially seeing Aspendos and Side.

We don't usually do tours but made an exception as we were only in the area for a few days. This was one of the best we've been on in terms of size, tour guide quality as well as how much time they allow at each spot. I thought we packed a lot in visiting each location and the balance between guiding us around and letting us wander on our own was good. The only issue I did have was the price they charged extra for picking us up from Belek, it is stated but it's pretty small and the price of 60 euros was a bit steep.

This was the best archaeological tour I’ve taken, and I’ve taken several. Solymos Travel was very professional and punctual. I was picked up in front of my hotel at the arranged time and taken to the tour van (Old Town Antalya has streets too narrow for tour vans). The small group tour (18) began on time and in a new and cool van (temperature cool). I enjoyed each and every stop, where our knowledgeable and amiable guide, Ercan (Air-John), led the group for about 15 minutes or so, explaining many points of interest before then allowing us free time to explore on our own. Ercan was also very funny and considerate. He even bought 36 small bottles of water, two for each of us, at the very start of the tour. No guide/tour has ever done that for me before. Perge, Aspendos, Side, and Manavgat Waterfall are sites you must see while in Antalya, Side and Manavgat Waterfall especially, and Solymos is the tour company that will offer you a wonderful experience. And the price is a ridiculously good deal!

This tour was great for one reason, Genghis. This is the guide to make all others irrelevant. His knowledge, authority, and passion simply made this tour. No doubt the ancient city of Perge was spectacular, the Aspendos theatre breathtaking, and the rustic town of Side, and the nearby Manavgat Waterfall really lovely places to visit, but it was Genghis who brought them all to life. Of course you expect a guide to be knowledgable, but Genghis is much more than a person at the front of a bus reeling off data, he connects the dots, makes the information relevant and meaningful, and imparts interesting information in a memorable way, and personal perspectives which challenge your own in relation to the places visited. He also has a sharp and challenging wit, and great sense of humour. We really liked him. We loved this tour in large part due to Genghis. Ask for him by name. The pace was good, the number of stops about right, and the food provided better than we've had on previous tours. 5 stars, and highly recommended. Leon & Louise

Solymos Travels are a very reliable agency and the booking, hotel pickup and drop off, mini bus quality were all very good. They didn't even ask for upfront payment. Tour guide Hussain was a wonderful person. Speaks fluent English, very informative, entertaining and very jovial. He made the whole trip very enjoyable experience. Aspendos amphitheatre was stunning and the Manavgat falls was very serene. Overall had a great day out.

Excellent tour with a stand-out guide, Cenghis, who was a font of information, gregarious, inclusive, and fun. We particularly enjoyed Perge and Aspendos. We don't usually go on tours, prefering to take things in on our own, but due to difficulty renting a car (too old!), we signed up with Solymos and we were very glad that we did. Our group was small, just a group of 6 people from the USA, Canada, Ukraine, and Germany that meshed nicely.

Our tour guide, Eren, was wonderful and patient and gave us a lot of history. Well worth the price to see these awesome cities.

Mr. Cengiz was our guide. We had a great time! He’s a natural born storyteller with a great sense of humor. If you end up with him as your guide you are in luck. The theater was amazing definitely a must see. The water fall seemed a bit if a tourist trap, it was ok. Perge was breathtaking, many great picture opportunities there with hardly any people around when we got there. Side was gorgeous and you will think you are in Greece or something. My fiancé isn’t really about yours and although it was a hot 🥵 day, we still had a great time.

I was very impressed. We were picked up at the airport exactly on time and entered a cool shuttle van from the scorching heat. Mr Cengiz greeted us and was definitely the HEART and soul of this trip. Very knowledgeable and shared a lot his own experiences, trivial facts and detailed Turkish history. We were offered complimentary water and lectured on appropriate hydration enroute ❤️😂. This tour was very well balanced. Hard truth facts and we were encouraged to keep an open mind as we dwelled into the past. With my hand to my heart, I honestly can't see any faults. Which is incredibly rare. All credit to Mr Cengiz who obviously has had years of experience stored from across the globe. Book this Tour. The reviews are positive for a reason. There were no hidden costs and we were not detoured into any shops either.

Excellent tour of the ruined city of Perge, the Roman theatre of Aspendos & Roman ruins of Side. All day tour with pick up from hotel at 8am and return back at 6pm. A nice buffet lunch was included. The tour company guide was exceptional. There were 12 of us on this tour. I highly recommend this tour and tour company if you are staying in Antalya and wish to see some important Roman ruins.

We had an excellent and fun guide who made this a memorable day out., regaling us with anecdotes and fascinating facts and taking good care of everyone. The ancient sites are always interesting and we also enjoyed a traditional lunch overlooking a river, and stopped at the Manavgat waterfall on the way back.

We had this tour our last trip of Antalya with thruogh this agency and done unforgettable memories with group of 9 people with of course great guide. All were amazingly arranged and smooth.. Over all this agency done great job as they promised. Lukie

To be honest, we decided to step into this company's office to ask about day-trips while staying in Antalya city-center only because we liked their colors and logo more than any of the designs of other travel companies in Kaleici - we didn't even check any recommendations online first - but we were delighted from the first minute. The person working in the office (Yunus) was extremely patient about answering all of our questions about trip options. We decided immediately that we didn't want to consider any other travel companies, and then the hard part was simply deciding which trip to choose :) Perge-Aspendos-Side-Manavgat Waterfall was finally our choice, and it was very well organized, we had a wonderful time, the van was very comfortable, lunch was good ("official" lunch options were all meat-based, but the restaurant staff was very cheerful and efficient in improvising other food for vegetarians in the group), we had absolutely no complaints. Of course, in some spots (especially Perge) we wished we had more time to explore -- but obviously, for a single-day expedition involving multiple stops, the time is limited. I think the tour planners did a great job of planning the time in each spot in the most efficient way possible. If you have time and energy to rent a car etc and go to Perge alone to explore the site for a longer time, it's worth it. But if you don't have that much time or energy (we didn't!), this tour is an excellent way to see the main sights without any hassle. We were traveling as a mixed Turkish & American group. The tour guide (Cengiz) was extremely knowledgeable, very personable, and 100% great at explaining everything in English and chatting in that language. We have had tour experiences before in Turkey that are marketed as "English language" where it seems that the guide has just memorized the main-talking points about the sites but then struggles to have long "off the script" conversations in English. That is absolutely NOT the case with this company. We had lots of long "off the script" conversations and enjoyed it very much; the non-Turkish-speakers in our group were 100% happy about the quality/depth of his explanations and also the pleasure of his chats. Other appreciated points: we were assured as we were booking the trip in the company's office that we would NOT make any stops along the way to get lectured about rugs etc and pressured to buy something. It wasn't a lie :) No boring shopping stops, only beautiful sites. And our guide was extremely thoughtful and attentive - my father walks with a cane, and Cengiz was very attentive to his comfort, helped us find the "easiest" paths to walk along, always helped my father get out the van.... These are small things, but they really reflected kindness, and I don't believe that all tour guides would be so thorough and constant in offering such help. In other words, I recommend this company 1000%.

Highly recommended. I booked a tour from Solymos as they had good ratings on Google and I was not disappointed. I also arranged a PCR test here a few days after the tour and everything was smooth. Tour booking was easy at the office and Zaynab was happy to explain and give recommendations. The price was also good value considering you get hotel pick up, an English speaking guide, entrance fee to four sites, and a buffet lunch. I did the Perge, Aspendos and Side tour, which is perfect as a day trip, and the group was 14 people. Cengiz the guide was informative and entertaining. All the sites are very much worth visiting, Aspendos especially was amazingly preserved. At the sites there is a good mix of explanation and free time to explore yourself. Be aware, these tours are aimed at the mass tourism market so the guide will not go into great detail, but the explanation is sufficient to understand the background. A buffet lunch was provided near Aspendos. The buffet was entirely vegetarian and meat cooked separately. The food was delicious and good quality, I’ve also never experienced a vegetarian buffet in Turkey so this was a nice surprise! Drinks are extra and prices are marked up, but no pressure to buy. At no point during the whole day was there any pressure to buy anything or give tips, and there were no detours to any souvenir shops. I carried my own drinks and the only thing I bought was a coffee in Side at a normal price. Finally it was a great pleasure to deal with Zaynab and Cengiz, both very friendly and sincere, who also invited me for tea and coffee at the office and gave me a lot of good tips for my stay in Antalya.

After searching all day long for a travel agency that organizes this tour, we finally found Solymos Travel, and they accepted us on the last minute. We couldn't be happier. Today, on July 17th, they picked us up at the exact hour they told us to be at the front gate. A limousine took only the three of us all the way to Perge, where we met the rest of the group. Seconds later the minibus with the rest of the group arrived, along with the guide, Mr Cengiz, who greeted us with a big smile and a bottle of cold water. And there we started the tour, first with Perge, then Side, Manavgat, lunch, and last but not least, Aspendos. It was the best day trip we have ever been to, as we got to see everything we wanted to see. And Cengiz was more than a guide. He was a friend, a teacher, a one man show. Congratulations, Solymos Travel, you did a great job with this one. We hope to see you again soon.

We have done couple activites with solymos travel one was this great ancient ruins tour other one was boat tour..so Antalya is hidden jem to discover every step you take with guide leads you learn whats behind of all arhitecture and civilazation. So we were quite amazed with this tour thanks to solymos travel team.

Excellent full day trip to ancient cities of Perge, Aspendos and Side on 12/11/2020. The history information given by our travel guide Omer inspired me and my daughter to read/re-read everything related to this region. Fabuoulous views and attachment to ancient times. It was just WAW all the time at all sightseeings!!! We've stopped at the village nearby old aqueduct and had warmest welcome from local people offering us fruits from their gardens (oranges, khurma). Lovely, generous people!!! God bless! Well organised tour by all personnel involved starting from booking, travel guide and etc. Guide Omer is really in love with his job! Also, big thanks to our driver Adil for safe driving and possessing in place all required stuff during this times (hand sanitises, masks and etc). The trip was very well organised. We had a new small bus which was comfortable enough. Our guide Omar was great and gave us really good information. The lunch was ok. We were lucky about the weather and the places we visited was amazingly beautiful. Only the waterfall was disapointed for me but even in that place I felt very happy. It was a dream day for me, thank you very much for everything.

I was in Antalya solo in the beginning of October and was looking to venture out and see other places. I searched around internet and found Solymos Travel as an option. I reached out to Yunus with a few questions to book few trips. He answered immediately and both tours were scheduled for the same week. I chose Side, Aspendos and Perge tour and also Pamukkale tour. Both tours were amazing and tour guides were very knowledgeable. I was very impressed how much they knew about Turkish history. It was very interesting to listen while on the long drive. The food was great and the mini bus was very comfy. I would highly recommend using Solymos Travel for your adventures!

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, and was a bit of a character 😁. Saw an amazing in tact Roman theatre and other Hellenistic and Roman ruins. Apollo's temple was also a highlight.

An excellent trip with Cem as the perfect guide. It is a lot to fit in a day but everything ran like clockwork and Cem was a fountain of knowledge. Thanks also to the lovely driver.
