Lovely trip with culture, history & natural beauty with a knowledgeable and very friendly tour guide (Mehmet). If you want to see a slice of Turkey that doesn't get many tourists, this seems to be a fantastic option. It is a wonderful palate cleanser compared to the brash neon of the resorts. Thoroughly enjoyed the food also.
I chose this tour because it was off the beaten path of usual tourist destination tours. Our tour guide Mehmet was very knowledgeable and shared a lot about Turkish culture and history. I enjoyed seeing village life of the Turkish people.
We booked a day trip of Discovering Inner Turkey we wanted something Cultural and some understanding about way of life...we hoped our 7year old we enjoy it as it wasn't all action and full on as so many other trips offered but this package seemed the one for us....we selected it and was very impressed and pleased we did. From the start to finish we were very happy our Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly answering our boys questions and showing interest in his non stop curiousity sharing his experience with us all. It was lovely to have a small group and there for able to move along on the tour not hanging around for loads of people. This was particularly good. We enjoyed all aspects of the tour the forest Tombs and facts my son enjoyed loads as well as the village walk with traditional tea and meeting the lady who weaves. Looking at the old style buildings and tasting figs. We all recommend you go along take the tour and discover it for yourselves as it truly is a wonderful trip and an insite into Turkey... We highly recommend this trip. Our tour guide Marmet was very well spoken in English and he made the day special. The cold water plunge and river experience was intense but definitely worth doing even for a brave 7 year old because you are only there at that moment so enjoy.... Thankyou for wonderful memories. A very interesting tour. We don't speak English very well, but everything was easy to understand even with our level. It was a small-group tour, so the atmosphere was very comfortable. I highly recommend it—the locations are unique
Absoutley first class private day trip. Mehemmet our guide was outstanding. His knowledge of the area, the plants, people and history was fantastic. Cadianda, the ruins amongst the pine forest up the mountain is one of the most unique and beautiful sights we have ever visited. There was only myself, my husband and another family of 3 on the trip, so it was a very private and vip experience. There were no other tourits around, making it even more peaceful and beautiful. I cannot recommend this more highly, a 100% must see and do if you are in the area.

The whole day was perfect it was educational a bit of an adventure and some beautiful scenery we wouldn’t see by staying in the resort Our guide Mehmet looked after us and knew his stuff it was educational without being over the top We all really enjoyed it
The scenery, historical sites, and village visits were top-notch. Great value for money and a fantastic day overall. The trip to Cadianda was fantastic but make sure you eat well before, bring water and right shoes. Because it can get tiresome because of the heat if you go there in the summer.
The whole experience was wonderful. From booking, to pick up, the tour and drop off, everything was well organised and highly efficient. Our small group of 3 felt like we were walking and exploring every aspect of the tour with a friend. Mehmet was engaging, personable and highly informative. He was very supportive of us all, answering additional questions and also making sure people moved safely across the terrain. Mehmet was very respectful to those we met in the villages and settings. I’d certainly look into booking another trip with the company and especially if we could have Mehmet as our tour guide!
This tour was fascinating and informative. Mehmet was a very friendly and engaging guide. It was more like being shown round by a friend. His historical knowledge was extremely impressive. I have been coming to this part of Turkey for years but have never explored the villages around Fethiye. I really appreciated gaining a deeper understanding of the history of the region. The day was really well balanced with time exploring as well as to relax over a late lunch and cold water dip. Perfect day out.

A truly authentic experience with Mehmet and our lovely driver today. We were collected bang on time, just a small group, in an air-conditioned Mercedes sprinter mini bus. An hour and we were strolling around peaceful Uzumlu village. The villagers were pleased to welcome us, the ladies showed us their beautiful woven silk shawls. We admired traditional houses, the ancient mosque, and sat down to drink Turkish Tea with the local gents. On to the beautiful hilltop site of Kadyanda where Mehmet showed us his in depth knowledge of this ancient Greco Roman site and Turkish history in general. No question too much or too many! Next we were driven down the very beautiful valley to Oren Gorge where we saw the trout farms and the breathtaking river gorge adorned with pretty dragon flies. We were hungry after all that so Mehmet persuaded one of the village ladies to cook lunch for us at 4pm! Ricotta and fresh spinach crepes with chicken and chips, much happy chatter, and Turkish Tea of course! The drive home was pretty, passing more perfect examples of stone tombs. A quick whizz along the highway, new friends made, and we were safely back at our hotel. What a perfect day. Thank you!! Amanda & Nick

Truly a wonderful experience seeing the historical sites. Mehmet was our guide. He is really insightful and knowledgeable about the history and architecture. The views were breathtaking. My partner and I had an unforgettable time. There was no admission fee for any of the places we visited. In total it took about 7-8 hours. This is with a lot of time taking pictures and enjoying the sights. At this time of year (January). There aren't usually a lot of tourists. So the group consisted of just myself and my wife. So having essentially a private tour for us was great 😁

The trip is a fantastic way to see the hidden turkey villages, history, landscapes, Mehmet has wide knowledge of the history of both modern and ancient times, I would never of seen any of this with out this tour, the day goes a nice pace, if you want to se something different then give this tour a go it was a highlight of my holiday.
Mehmet is an excellent guide. His historical knowledge of the local area and beyond is excellent. The views are amazing. Wear warm clothes and walking shoes (no flip flops) as it's cooler up in the hills. If you want to see this beautiful country without lots of tourists, this tour is for you.
Very interesting excursion in the hinterland: discovery of authentic villages, beautiful walks on the archaeological site of Candyanda and in the Ören gorges. Our guide Mehmet was very friendly and a well of knowledge to explain the history, architecture, and ancient or local customs to us. We had some great cultural exchanges. A beautiful human encounter.
