Tugba was an excellent, enthusiastic, and well-informed guide. She made sure we chose how much time we wanted to spend at each attraction without making us feel rushed. Her lunch recommendation after the tour was fantastic and I felt she truly cared about our experience, not only on the tour but in Turkey as a whole. She was open to taking questions and had a pleasant sense of humor. Visiting the sites was timed well and we had more than enough time afterward to have lunch and shop before heading back to the ship. I would recommend this tour and Tugba without hesitation whether you are on a cruise ship or staying in Bodrum longer. If you don’t like history then this is not the tour for you.

Itinerary
Bodrum Castle (Saint Peter's Castle) One of Bodrum's most iconic structures, Bodrum Castle was built by the Knights of St. John in the 15th century. One of the best-preserved medieval castles on the Aegean coast, the structure has carried traces of different cultures with the addition of a mosque during the Ottoman period. While there are different sections such as French, English, German and Italian towers inside the castle, visitors can enjoy the magnificent view of the Aegean Sea. In addition to being a military structure, the castle is one of the most important symbols of Bodrum's cultural and historical identity today.
Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum The Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum, located inside Bodrum Castle, is considered one of the most important underwater museums in the world. The museum, which exhibits artifacts unearthed from shipwreck excavations in the Aegean and Mediterranean, sheds light on maritime history. Among the most striking exhibitions in the museum are: Uluburun Shipwreck (one of the oldest shipwrecks in the world, dating back to the 14th century BC), Glass Shipwrecks Collection, Amphorae, jewelry and objects related to seafaring, and shipwrecks from the Ottoman and Roman periods.
Myndos Gate, which is part of the defensive walls of ancient Halicarnassus (Bodrum), was built by King Mausolus. This is one of the points where Alexander the Great encountered the greatest resistance when he tried to conquer the city in 334 BC. The remains of the gate include ancient city walls, moats and buried tomb structures. Myndos Gate, one of the most important historical remains of Bodrum's ancient past, is a point not to be missed for history enthusiasts.
One of the symbols of Bodrum, Bodrum Windmills were built in the 18th century and were used for wheat milling in the region for many years. Located between Bodrum and Gumusluk, these historical mills offer a fascinating view, especially at sunset.
One of the oldest structures in Bodrum, Bodrum Ancient Theatre was built in the 4th century BC during the reign of King Mausolus of Caria. The structure, which has the typical features of Hellenistic period theatres, has a capacity of 13,000 people and still hosts concerts and events today. The view from the theatre towards Bodrum Castle and the Aegean Sea offers a unique atmosphere to visitors.

Darya taught us a great deal about Turkiye and the wonderful city of Bodram. Darya made the tour a really enjoyable experience.
Tour of Bodrum with Melike (Mel). She took us to Bodrum Castle and shared all the interesting facts. She was very kind and knowledgeable. She took us to see the windmills and snap a few pictures. She told us of how her grandmother was a silk weaver and how it’s a dying art. She shared with us the information about the government program to keep the art alive and suggested we go to where the women are learning the trade. I was under the impression it would be an art studio type of setting. WRONG it was a rug store where I later learned she coordinated our arrival with the owner before we got there. He kept pulling out rug after rug. I gently asked to leave only to be persuaded to look at their jewelry as well. I felt that this was a set up and that we were conned. Clearly she gets a kick back for all the sales she brings in under the douse of wanting to share a dying art because she said her grandmother was a weaver. If you take a tour with Mel, decline the offer to watch how the women are learning to weave unless you want to spend thousands on a rug.
We had the most incredible time on our tour, all thanks to our amazing guide Tugba. Her knowledge of every single location we visited was absolutely incredible—she shared so many fascinating insights and stories that we never would have discovered on our own! Beyond being highly informative, she was incredibly warm, engaging, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend to book this tour with Tugba if given the option! - The tour in general was great and allowed us to see the wonderful main places in Bodrum all in one day. Thank you for making our trip so incredibly special.
Nice half day review of key historical spots and other highlights of Bodrum. Our tour guide Tugba was extremely knowledgeable about the history of this area and Turkey overall.
We had an amazing day with Selin. She was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and much fun! She was able to go with the flow and alter our tour to exactly what we desired. We are leaving Bodrum with great memories, and a new friend! Highly recommend her!
The excursion was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Our guide, Tas, was knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging throughout the entire trip. The locations we visited were beautiful, and we had plenty of time to explore and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Transportation was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere made the day both relaxing and memorable. I would highly recommend this excursion, and our guide, Tas, to anyone looking for a fun, enjoyable, and well-planned experience.
This was a smooth day with GG our tour guide. She picked us up form the port and showed us all the beauties of this town. Driver was professional , vehicle was clean. We were not rushed at all. Later in the day we also saw how the Turkish handwoven carpets are made in the cooperation, we appriciated this art. In short worths every penny.
We had a private tour with Selim and he was great. We were driven in the spacious air conditioned van. Sellm took us to major sites and beautiful places with historical significance. We are highly recommending Salim.

Day is tailored to what you would like to visit. Guide may suggest a stop at a rug factory or jewelry. Unless interested in purchasing something, best to decline. Habib was a wonderful guide, very informative and knowledgeable.
Me and my friends had an amazing tour with Daily Bodrum tours! Nur helped us a lot and she is very lovely lady. We learned about the city in regards to history and culture. It was a really pleasant experience and recommend to everyone 😊
Oznur was very sweet and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time. We went to see the Virgin Mary As well as stopped at a store that was asked of her to get some olive oil to take home to the states.
Nagi was an excellent tour guide. Very informative on the sites we saw. Brought umbrellas and made sure we had water and lunch. Very personable.
Nagehan was a wonderful guide. Without her we would have been lost exploring the ancient city and we wouldn’t have seen the carpet making school which was very cool.
We had a terrific experience with Nagehan! Would highly recommend doing this tour and experiencing the culture.
We have been twice, was so impressed we went back 8 months later. Read all you can about Ephesus and Kusadasi before you to totally understand the history and culture. We hired a private guide and really learned a lot. Will go back when Covid and world tensions calm down.
Excellence all around! Our guide, Ali Mert Özgün, was far beyond what was expected! Informative, professional, patient, punctual, kind, great sense of humor - just a GREAT tour guide! If you are looking for the one to book, make sure and ask for ALI! We were group of 12-14 and he was helpful, outgoing, on point with all the details and did not skip a beat! I only wish he could be a guide for every country you travel to!
I have travelled all over the world and hired guides in over 40 countries as a professional advertising photographer. In all my travels I have never NEVER found a better guide than ALI. I spent weeks on the phone and e-mail with hem setting up every detail of our shoot with a crew of 15 in Ephesus and Kusadasi. It went off without a wrinkle! Busses, meals, permits , entrance fees and excursions were all perfect! Ali’s excellence and professional behavior made me a hero to my client. I will always recommend him to anyone traveling here and now consider him a friend. Thanks again so much for all your hard work and easy communications. He gave us 110%!
