Authentic Bodrum Experience – From Cruise Port Make the most of your stop in Bodrum with a half-day tour blending history, culture, and local flavor! ✔️ Snap stunning photos at the Bodrum Windmills ✔️ Explore the iconic Bodrum Castle & Underwater Archaeology Museum ✔️ Savor a homemade Turkish lunch at a local carpet cooperative ✔️ Witness a live carpet weaving demo by skilled artisans Comfortable transport, expert guidance, and unforgettable memories — all starting just steps from your ship.
Overlooking the sparkling Aegean Sea, Bodrum Castle is one of the most iconic landmarks in Bodrum. Built in the 15th century by the Knights of St. John, the castle stands as a stunning example of medieval architecture and strategic design. Today, it houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, showcasing ancient shipwrecks and treasures recovered from the depths of the sea. With its towers, courtyards, and breathtaking views, Bodrum Castle offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and beauty — a must-see for any visitor.
Located inside the historic Bodrum Castle, the Museum of Underwater Archaeology is one of the most important museums of its kind in the world. It showcases an extraordinary collection of shipwrecks, ancient cargo, and maritime artifacts recovered from the depths of the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. Highlights include the Uluburun Shipwreck — one of the oldest ever discovered — along with ancient amphorae, glassware, coins, and personal belongings from sailors who lived thousands of years ago. More than just a museum, it offers a fascinating journey through maritime history, ancient trade, and the rich underwater heritage of Turkey.
Perched on the hills between Bodrum and Gümbet, the Bodrum Windmills are iconic symbols of the region’s rural past. Built in the 18th and 19th centuries, these whitewashed stone structures once harnessed the Aegean winds to grind grain for local villages. Today, they offer more than just a glimpse into history — they provide one of the best panoramic views in Bodrum, overlooking both bays and the turquoise sea beyond. A favorite spot for photographers and sunset lovers, the windmills are a peaceful and scenic stop on any Bodrum tour.
Overlooking the city and the sea, the Bodrum Amphitheater is one of the oldest and best-preserved structures in the region. Dating back to the 4th century BC, during the reign of King Mausolos, this ancient Greco-Roman theater once hosted thousands of spectators for plays, ceremonies, and gladiator games. Carved into the hillside, the theater offers not only a journey through history but also breathtaking views of Bodrum and its marina. Today, it still hosts cultural events and concerts, blending ancient ambiance with modern entertainment.
As final, you will have chance to experience a real village-life in Turkey. We would like to introduce you to the local cultural aspects of Bodrum by showing handmade Carpet & rug art.
Step into the heart of Turkish craftsmanship at a local carpet weaving cooperative, where centuries-old traditions are kept alive by skilled artisans. Here, women from nearby villages hand-weave each rug using natural dyes, wool, and silk — every piece telling its own unique story. During your visit, you'll witness a live weaving demonstration, learn about regional patterns and techniques, and gain insight into the cultural importance of carpets in Turkish life.

Best guide ever. Wish we could take ekrem to every port with us! Energetic, easy to understand and passionate about his job! Thank you for a great day in Bodrum.
A great tour of Bodhram taking in the Castle the Windmills finishing off with lunch in a small village and a demonstration of traditional carpet weaving. We were a small group of 6 people of a cruise ship Special thanks to our guide for the day Ekrim. He showed us around each area was able to answer all our questions.
Loved the small group experience. Our guide Ferudun was great, friendly and knowledgeable. Tour length was just right.
This was a tour we will remember for a long time! Our guide, Ferudum, was very pleasant and accommodating. He constantly asked us our desires and adjusted accordingly. We had rain for part of the day but Ferudum timed things so we stayed dry. We saw an ancient Roman stadium, a city market, a Medieval castle, windmills and a carpet weaving co-op. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave historical and cultural insights throughout. We had a delicious traditional lunch at the carpet place and saw a very informative demonstration there as well. This would be a great tour for any age and is highly recommended.
We had a very nice time on this tour! Ferudun was very knowledgeable and informative.
Sadar led a very informative and organized tour. When you only have a limited time in port, it is wonderful to have an experience that shares a variety of places, cultural experiences, and even a delicious lunch. So happy I booked this tour independent of the cruise ship as we had a small group of 6 in a beautiful van rather than the large bus experience. Sadar, our guide, also was not only very knowledgeable about Turkish history, but also was very thoughtful to accommodate everyone’s needs. Great experience from start to end.
I really enjoyed the tour, it was so informative and full of fun. Serdar is kind and friendly. Thank you for making my first visit to Turkey so special and wonderful.
Thank you very much Zafar for this wonderful tour and experience;
This 6 hour tour around Bodrum was a fabulous day out in a luxury vehicle with a good driver and wonderful guide. Asli was so friendly and knowledgeable and put us at ease from the start. After seeing some impressive sights we had a walk around a very rural village and then had lunch in a charming restaurant and it was delicious! Asli did everything she could to ensure we had a memorable day and it’s a day we won’t forget - thank you Asli
Absolutely wonderful day around Bodrum. First class transport and driver. Our Guide Asli was superb and made us feel at ease from the start. Very knowledgeable on the places we visited. Lunch was delicious in a charming village restaurant with a large selection of freshly cooked dishes. A memorable visit to Bodrum
Efe did a wonderful job showing us around Bodrum! We saw all of the advertised sights and ended with a fantastic lunch that was prepared by a local carpet-making family. They gave us way too much food and Efe did a great job explaining to us what each dish was. We had freshly baked pancakes with zucchini, cheese, and sugar & honey, and they even let us try to roll out the pancake. The highlight of the tour was our guide, Efe, who explained the history of each place with knowledge and humor. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him.
We had a very nice tour with Atila in Bodrum. He was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of history about Bodrum and Turkey in general. The tour included a visit to a carpet store. We got to see how they make the carpets which is actually very interesting. It included a nice lunch of tasty food. They do sell the carpets if you’re interested. One lady in our small group did ask about the cost and it was roughly $4200. They will clearly negotiate if you want one. They are beautiful carpets it’s just not something I need.
Great tour, relaxed not rushed. Carpet weaving was very interesting. The lunch was superb! Our guide, was friendly and very knowledgeable and easy to understand.

“We arrived in Bodrum on a cruise and joined the small group tour and it was absolutely perfect! There were only 6 of us in the group, which made it feel very personal and comfortable. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience unforgettable. Honestly, there’s no need to pay extra for a private tour — this small group option gives you the same quality and attention at a much better price.
We joined a small group tour from our cruise in Bodrum and it was amazing! There were only 8 of us, which made the experience very personal and fun. Everything was well organized, the views were beautiful, and we had such a great time.
