Had to pay 450tl which included 2nd time time visit. Half of area was water logged Sculptures breaking up Not described as per photos on web site and tourist sites
The sand sculptures are starting to crumble and they could do with some repairs. We visited during the day, but the on-site big screen shows them at night, and they're much more impressive when they're illuminated. We paid a little over 1000 TL for a family of four, I didn't feel like we got our money's worth.
This was our second visit to Sand Sculpture Museum. We first went in March 2023. We were surprised that the sculptures were still the same theme but in a better condition. It’s interesting to walk round as I’m not sure where you would see anything else like it. £10 entry and €1 for water. Staff were helpful, speaking good English. There is a nice small cafe, clean toilet facilities and shop on site. An informative video of how things take shape is very good. Only issue we had was, it’s great for photos but the green plastic coverings left next to the displays is a bit off putting. The website pictures of evening shows does look quite spectacular though. We made our own way there catching the LC07(A) from Lara Beach getting off at the Holiday Inn. The walk then is about 20mins passing the Sera Hotel and local park with multiple barbecue areas available for families to use on the edge of the beach. Again, there is a cafe and toilet facilities. Maybe we will not go again for a while till there is a completely new exhibition to visit Thank you
Total visit time is around 45minutes when on site Very different and unique experience for the price ! Great sculptures and worth a visit
We visited the sand sculpture museum as a family. The weather was perfect for the visit. There are plenty of sculptures, currently a space theme so many characters from sci fi films. There was a play area for children. Entrance is cheap (around £7 for adults). I would recommend a visit.
Not entertaining at all. Place was empty Rainy , water everywhere Complete waste of money Not what it seems
The advertisement is far more better than the reality. The scene is a small place roughly takes about 15-30 minutes. So it’s rather disappointing as a tourist travels from somewhere to the place. Of course, if you had some spare time to spend during a day, it is not a bad idea to see these sculptures.
Not worth visiting. Just a few sand sculptures. Location is far from center of antalya and ticket price is much.
We did this visit in about 15 minutes on New Year’s Day. It’s OK. Some of the sculptures were worn. Cheap entry so can’t complain too much.
It was a nice little visit. Lots of sand sculptures, not just Turkish but also other things. Also the price was quite good too.
So realistic where the sculptures from sand!!!Interesting place to visit in Antalya! Not far from resorts there also.
Our guide and driver Ali was so helpful He was amazing I would recommend anyone with family to use this service Absolutely amazing experience Thanks to Ali
Liked this place very much. Som much woek in this sculptures. Absolutly recomend this place. Thank you
Visited Sandland both day time and evening and I have to say that at sunset is even more attractive and impressive. The statues are marvelous with a high level of details and having a coffee right next to them is pure relaxation.
Having seen pictures on Tripadvisor this was something we had wanted to visit, so much so we took a 1 hour bus ride each way to get there but for an experience that should take 2 to 3 hours to enjoy we thought it would be worth it. The exhibits looked tired and weather worn, perhaps you might expect this from sculptures made from sand, but they are actually made from river bedsand so not sand but clay (so perhaps a better name would be pottery world) . It took us approximately 30 minutes to see and we felt not worth the cost.
Overall, we had a poor experience there. It was too small, had just a couple of sculptures, and had no shade from the heat. It took 5 minutes for us to go around and take pictures. Not worth $30!
How creative the artist can make the big sculpture with just water and sand combinations. I guess they should regularly (every day) make live session on how they make the Sculpture & the kids will not forget that moment
Maybe worth a visit. Unfortunately when we went it was too hot and couldn't stay long. You can see a lot of work has gone into these sculptures. Kids are free under 4/5 I believe. Bit out the way but taxi right outside. Just make sure you tell taxi drivers you want to open meter not fixed price! Thanks
Atmospheric and very beautiful, I cant describe the feelings of being able to stand so close to real masterpieces 🦋👌 Absolutely Fantastic, for this who are interested, dir everyone else you just paid for walking amongst sand your not allowed to touch 😂 Take the trip if you are like me, this was incredibly, I loved it
A great place to admire beautiful sand sculptures. From Ataturk’s, right by the entrance, and to the mystical creatures, all are capturing the eyes and are sending you in a childhood world. We visited the Sandland at 11:00 am and we were lucky enough ti be alone inside for half an hour. At busy hours, it might take a little more than one hour to enjoy and admire every single sculpture. Entrance ticket is cheap, the museum itself worths to be visited.
Went to sand land at Lara beach area and it was brilliant the sculptures were awesome would recommend this attraction for young & old
Whilst in Antalya I booked the sand sculpture muesum tour. Its straight forward to get to on various buses, running from hadrians gate. Notably KL08. Towards Lara. The museum is not the biggest, but the sculptures are amazing. They look like stone, but incredibly its sand. Time for loads of pictures but if you leave it till evening time around 7pm, the colour lights are switched on. This projects on to the sculptures and brings them to life. Thiers a toilet facility on site and a small shop. (With a moody, no customer service skills, girl working in it) The museum was not busy which made the whole experience better. I stayed for about 2 hours, which is ample time to take in the scenery. It's well worth a visit if you have time in your schedule. Lots of pictures to saviour!!
It's small place but very impressive sculptures. It can be reached by bus. There is a small shop to purchase Beverages and the like. It's recommended especially for kids.
I been to Lara Beach and I seen the museum entrance from the bus so I decided to visit it. Entrance fee was 30 Turkish lira not too bad. The sand figurines were not that many, and some of them were falling apart, maybe to dry and hot atmosphere, were around 37-38 degrees in the week. All in all just OK, nothing special. Thank you!
At first I thought it would be a waste of time and money but I was wrong! The sculptures were amazing and they were a great to see. A definite must see, it will be a short visit but it will be worth it!
After a 1.5 hour walk to this “attraction”, a big bust awaited us. Years ago, these sculptures might have been worth seeing (after all, they received awards until 2018!), but now they are falling into disrepair. Moss, grass and muddy paths characterize this “attraction”. A thorough restoration is needed! The entrance fee of 10€ can be used more sensibly!
We were in sand country. The sculptures were mostly damaged and unkempt. For this, an entrance fee of 10 euros per person. No Go….:
It’s a place where you’ll spend about 1-2 hours of Newbie concept time each year. I was not very interested in the space concept this year, but I went and visited.
Terrible, everything in poor condition and without any interest. It is tremendously expensive for what it is. It may be fine to start a new one, but the existing one has been around for about 4 years and no one takes care of it.
I spent one evening in Antalya for a week for this visit. It's hard to believe that the statues are made of sand. The works found there are truly the product of great labor. The stages of making the sculptures are also shown in a video. Some statues were damaged due to physical conditions, but these do not prevent you from having an idea about the works, and there are no incomprehensible statues whose integrity has been damaged. It is a place that I would recommend to see for those who are in Antalya and have time (I think not only foreign tourists but also Turks should see it). I find it useful to spend the money that would be spent on a drink or two on such visits. I learned that the theme changes every year, I would like to visit again.
Hello useless, the tour in 15 minutes on an area of 200m2. And the worst thing is paying 5 times the price compared to the locals. That is 10€ per person and 5€ for children under 4 years old.
As part of an Antalya tour we visited the Sand Sculpture Museum. Admission per adult 8€. We were there in the evening, the sculptures were illuminated. It's fascinating what you can make from sand. So many details that have been processed, just madness. It's worth a visit.
Alles hat super geklappt, besser geht nicht. Sandland immer wieder ein Besuch wert . Die Beleuchtung am Abend spitze
Pros: Curious figures made with good attention to "likeness" and detail. Cons: the price of 90 lire (May 2022) is still high for 20 sculptures. Features: it is worth visiting when the figures are "fresh", because after a month can start to "lose shape". Before visiting you should check the weather - in the strong wind it will be dusty and not very comfortable to see.
We went from Izmir to Antalya for a holiday holiday. While we went, we wanted to stop by the sand museum on the edge of Lara beach. The entrance fee is not high and we had a lot of trouble to get around in the heat of the valley. Entry adults 28 children 18 lt. We paid a total of 74 lt that was a little too much, but we said we should see it the first time we went. Sorry, the friends who worked said skip your tickets until 11:00 open evening and you can see them. We did not have the opportunity to come in the evening because we stayed at the hotel center. the price was a bit high but I still recommend you to see.
Nice and super beautiful place, I advise to visit this my night even more beautiful acec different led light , welcoming and friendly staff
A meal in the lair. The works are really beautiful. It’s a small, fast-trip place. I’m sure the pieces look better in the Newbie era. Wellness to their efforts. We paid us $22 with a museum card discount and usual $25 per person.
It was very beautifully made, true artists. Especially those of Ata Turk, a real shame that some were already affected by rain and storms. But they are already from April 2019.
