Was toured by Mauricio - great guide, careful to details and entertaining. Top ratings for him

Itinerary
Visit the site of Escobar’s former home, where he hid his family and had enemies plant bombs to kill him. Learn about the transformation of this site into a memorial park for victims of Colombia's drug war.
Next, head to “la cathedral”, a jail Escobar built for himself in an agreement with the government, from which he later escaped. New Entrance Fee is included.
Afterward, visit the soccer field Escobar built, known for its visionary design, where he gave speeches in an attempt to make a foray into Colombian politics.
To cap things off, make your way to the cemetery, where Escobar is buried along with his family and other members of his gang, including Griselda Blanco. By the end of the day, leave the tour with a better understanding of the negative impact that Escobar had on the country and the lives of the Colombian people.

Edvin was very informative and pleasant. We learned a lot!
Our guide Daniel was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and offered all sorts of information both related and unrelated to the tour. So friendly and so easy to talk to. I have been to Medellín several times and always avoided this tour because I kind of misunderstood what it might be about (glorifying drugs and violence) but I was unexpectedly and pleasantly surprised at how well-rounded and nuanced the tour information was and how much I enjoyed it, in no small part due to Daniel. Thank you
Very impressive Pablo Escobar tour by our guide Daniël. He was very friendly, open for questions, and detailed during the tour. Would definitely recommend.
It’s was a great tour and the history was well explained by Laura! Thanks a lot! We started at the hostel en were guided with metro and bus until the communa 13. Well done 👌
Daniel the greatest of all time. Compared to other tours we’ve had around the city (not by this company), Daniel’s passion and deep knowledge of the subject shone through. He was incredibly accommodating, enthusiastic and most importantly friendly. we felt like we could ask any question - none too silly. we came away having understood everything he explained. thankyou for a great day!
We loved this tour so much! It was very informative but still fun :) Daniel was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable and answered any questions the group had. Would definitely recommend!
We went with them on a day trip in Medina and also on a day trip in Guatape. Both trips were professional, with very courteous and service-minded guides, and the price was very attractive relative to what was offered. Highly recommended!
Daniel is an amazing tour guide. He obviously loves his job and had extensive knowledge about PE and the gang violence history of Colombia which he enthusiastically shares with you. Would definitely recommend this tour if you want to learn about Pablo Escobar and skip the overhyped touristy stuff.
Hi everyone, Viator is not the relatable platform to booked the tourist attraction . Unfortunately I booked the 3 package from them and it was my first time experience . As matter of fact , I decided to make the payment before the due date , so I’ve chose. the option Paynow , and all of sudden my booking was cancelled, afterwards I called on the customer service and as per the customer service representative might be there was problem in your card, I replied her it’s not possible bcuz that time I’ve sufficient amount in my account and even I’ve didn’t receive the notification from my bank , so how possible you cancelled my booking and at the time of booking I spent 3 to 4 hours on the same attraction ( Hobbitons & Waitini cave ) , but she tried a lot but didn’t found the fault and in the end she gave me the option to booked the another deal which’s 500$ expensive and available at the same date . I want to add something , due to bad experience I don’t won’t that I lost my other bookings bcuz I’m traveling to the New Zealand from Dubai UAE, and it’s 12 days trip with family, so I requested her that kindly pay from your side through the same card which I was entered at the time of initial booking , and fortunately we made the payment on the other 2 Attraction . I was shocked that what’s going on and in the reality there’s no problem from my card detail and how the cancelled my booking of ( Hobbitons & Waitomo cave). I had almost one hour call conversation with her and it’s expensive call from Dubai to Viator. Anyhow after spending one hour she gave me the option of same attraction but price is 1,538 dollars instead of 1,008. I expressed my hated feelings but she couldn’t happen anything and in the last I paid 1,538$ instead of 1,008$. In the short , in the future I’ll never booked anything from them bcuz it’s waste of money and time and I’m so disappointed bcuz I requested a lot and I’ve to pay extra without any reason . (We booked with Get your guide where this tour is also known as The Real Pablo Escobar tour). Daniel was a very informative guide who knew a lot about the Narco’s history and the victims of the drug wars. The tour was very well ran and we had a driver with us so our valuables could be kept in the van if needed. The tour took us to the key spots and our highlight was definitely La Catedral - we’re happy we chose this tour.
My family of four decided on the Pablo Escobar tour on our last day. This was a very nice way to end our trip, Daniel our tour guy was amazing. I was very impressed his English is excellent, he gives you very detailed information.. the pick up spot is a coffee shop which is very nice to grab your breakfast before take off. Daniel approached us and was spot on with our group names and advised us to use the restrooms and let us know the exact time we were leaving.. thank you Daniel for being great to us.
Daniel was awesome! Extremely knowledgeable—you can ask him anything and get a great answer. He has thorough knowledge of all things Pablo and much, much else.
Awesome tour. Learned a lot of history and truth about Colombia from the 70s to modern day. Got to see some really interesting sites from the era of Pablo's rule. Guide Daniel Jaramillo had real passion that shone through and was open to any questions about anything Colombia related. Recommend this tour.
Highly recommend this tour & in particular Daniel as a guide! It was really interesting - we learned so much about Medellín past & present!
This tour far exceeded our expectations - hugely due to our tour guide Daniel, who was not only knowledgeable and spoke superb English but was more than happy to answer all and every question! Originally we were just planning to visit the museum, but so glad we were offered this tour by our hotel and we went for it. So much context and information is given as well as plenty of photo opportunities.
I did this tour because I wanted to learn more about the story of Pablo Escobar from a local perspective. I am Colombian and live in bogota and I am familiar with the story. THIS IS A TOURIST TRAP!!! I was VERY disappointed with the whole experience. First of all the places you visit, edificio Monaco, Pablo’s old jail (which is a regular church is bad shape now) and the cemetery are underwhelming. There is nothing special or educative to see, it is a big money grab. The only thing that you are really paying for is ride bus and again, the locations have been renovated and there is nothing special to see. The only place I recommend is Monaco and you can easily get there by car. Our tour guide, Jose Abreu was not engaging and skipped a lot of facts. He rushed the tour and the way he told the story was very wrong. I asked him a few questions and he answered very rudely and in one occasion he even called me out in front of everyone and told me I wasn’t paying attention and that clearly I was not listening. He was clearly upset because I asked him to include parts of the story he was skipping. He went a bit far in terms of talking badly about of Lara Bonilla who was killed by Pablo in a horrible way. He gave his personal opinion about how he deserved it, which is so UNPROFESSIONAL!!! I think this company is greedy and prefers to sell a cool tour rather than educate the people and give a meaningful and insightful story about Pablo. Do not waste your time, we spent 6 hours doing the sites and driving. Use your time and money better in Medellin, this tour is not worth it! NO DOT USE THIS COMPANY
Laura helped us even when we were arriving late and explain the history of Comuna 13 with so much detail that was imposible to not be sensitive
Our tour guide, Daniel, was amazing! Nothing beats a tour given by someone who lives in the community. Daniel answered ALL my questions (no matter how unsavory), and gave a great education on the brutal effects of Escobar's reign in Medellin. Pace was easy, with lots of time for pictures, etc, and I wouldn't change a thing about it.
I initially booked the Pablo Escobar tour, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of phenomenal! Juan, our guide, was an absolute expert on Pablo Escobar and the historical backdrop. From the poignant memorial park to Pablo's "imprisonment" at La Catedral, the community football field, and his final resting place – every moment was steeped in riveting history. Juan's knowledge and passion elevated the tour to an unforgettable experience. If you're in Medellin, this tour is an absolute must! But wait, it gets better. The experience was so mind-blowing that I couldn't resist exploring more. I asked about other tours and was pointed to the Comuna 13 tour. Folks, this one is a game-changer! Jackson, our guide, didn't just show us around; he unfolded the soul of the area having lived there. His in-depth knowledge of the people, combined with a profound understanding of the vibrant graffiti scene, provided a tour unlike anything I've ever experienced. Trust me, the Comuna 13 tour with Jackson is an adventure you won't want to miss! This company consistently brings their A-game, and based on the jaw-dropping experiences I had with both the Pablo Escobar and Comuna 13 tours, I'm not just recommending it – I'm urging you to book these tours when you're in Medellin. It's an investment in unforgettable memories and an unparalleled journey through the heart of Colombia's rich history and culture!
My best friend and I had an awesome experience on the Comuna 13 graffiti tour with Luis. Luis was so kind and thoughtful, and he did a great job sharing the history of Comuna 13 with us - thank you so much Luis! Even though his leg was hurt, he still walked the entire tour and shared interesting an art gallery, breakdance, and rap show along the way with a great attitude. It was helpful to have a tour as he showed us how to get around with the bus and where to walk.
Our tour guide Daniel was very informative on giving details about Pablo and the extent of how powerful he was. We went to a few locations and even to one of his jails that he built with an amazing view from the city! The only downside was traffic caused some delays.
It was a great, funny and informative experience! Juan was a knowledgeable guide who also made us laugh
Daniel was my tour guide for the tour and let me just say, he was awesome! He was very Informative and knowledgeable about the history. If I had any questions, he answered! Thank you Daniel for your time!
What a great tour! The history of Colombia, its consequences, repetitions and hope for a better future. We are deeply moved by the impressions of life, impressed by the stories of many generations through the influences of the conquest of Colombia and enslavement. We feel with the women, children and wish Colombia with all our heart the future it deserves: peace and prosperity for its wonderful people. We especially thank our extraordinary guide LAURA! She is full of love, passion, knowledge and strength and has fascinated us all to the maximum, inspired us and reached our hearts. THANK YOU THANK YOU LAURA!🙏
We enjoyed the tour tremendously. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all questions. I would take this tour again.
We went on the Comuna 13 graffiti tour which was fantastic - Luis was a great guide which he delivered with a lot of compassion.
Highly recommended. Good prices and perfect speaking English guides. Good communication via WhatsApp wi
I did two tours with these guys! They are just an AMAZING group of people that genuinely want you to enjoy your time as much as possible! I wish I had more time to do more trips and get to know them all more! Love!
The experience from booking the tour to actually doing the tour was exceptional. I felt like I’ve known these people for a lifetime. Juliana took care of everything and very prompt in responding to your queries. The guide Daniel spoke perfect english and was very well rounded when it came to the information about the topic and how the person is perceived locally and internationally especially in contrast to Netflix version. It poured during the tour but nothing a good number of umbrellas on the ready couldn’t handle to keep everyone dry. Very i formative and worth the time spending an afternoon.
We had a small group of 4 on the Pablo Escobar tour and had the most amazing guide! She was so informative and was very down to earth and gave us so much information it was great! 10/10 to the guide. BUT... now I would not recommend this company to anyone!!! I just heard from our guide that they fired her due to her gender!!! I cannot believe in 2021 there are still issues like this going on!! PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!!!
This was an eye-opening experience! My favorite part of this tour was the attention paid to the victims, rather than to the evil man who took their lives. This tour is a good reminder of the saying, "Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it." Nothing this horrible should ever happen again. The tour guide, Esteban, has obviously done his homework. He was able to patiently answer the many questions from the group and his English is great!
If you're interested in the history of Pablo Escobar (sssssht!), you really should do this tour. My tourguide Esteban knew a loooot about him and not only about him, also about the city Medellín, the neighbourhoods, areas to go, areas to avoid, the people.. I highly recommend it!
It was a very great experience today with our guide Esteban an our driver Jhon! We asked about 50 questions and Esteban knew just everything! We have visited all the nice spots, and the storytelling from Esteban was catching, he also spoke perfect english!
Our tour was fantastic. Our guide Esteban spoke great English and went far above and beyond what we expected. We definitely recommend using this guide service for this tour, and couldn’t recommend Esteban enough. They were on-time, professional, and Esteban was very prepared to tell the full and complete story of Colombia and Pablo Escobar. Probably the highlight of our trip so far. 5stars
Esteban was great! Easy to get along with and very friendly, he gave us a lot of interesting and detailed information from start to finish regarding Pablo Escobar and the history of Medellin. He welcomed questions and I learnt a lot! Would definitely recommend
I wrong the employee's name is not Talita is Tanlivia Note 10
Great experience, Daniel was a very good guide very prepared and nice. He made sure the experience was very pleasant
Excellent experience, very good and considerate guide Daniel. good scenery, good explanation!!! thanks for everything!!!
Really top guide and really interesting tour. Full explanations that offer a complete view of Colombia's history
An unforgettable experience with an extraordinary guide. He even spoke to us in French. Many details and all relevant.
Our guide (Daniel) was very friendly, professional and very attentive to answer our questions. He gave us more information (about Griselda) and we had a great time! We recommend that tour!
I highly recommend the tour to commune 13, full of history, really enriching, plus Juliana is a love of excellent person nice and friendly person
Very good tour, very good guide Miguel!! We ended up in a tremendous rooftop of commune 13 with the sunset passing music and with a birras
Transavia owes us 12 euros for cabin baggage that went in the hold. Since July 19, they have claimed to have reimbursed us when we never were, with supporting evidence. They took over three months to confirm their so-called refund which was obviously made to an account that did not belong to us. In short, terrible customer service. The sum is derisory but it was owed to us. Transavia therefore saved 12 euros. Well done !
Excelente. Recomendo. Imperdível. O Guia Daniel tem muito conhecimento. Conta a história com muita veracidade e realismo.
Highly recommended tour if you really want to learn about the eventful history of medellin. Our guide was able to answer all questions in detail and in English.
