This was a very fun and informative street food tour! I enjoyed the foods chosen and learned more about Colombia cuisine. We saw some street artwork and it was neat to learn about the art and the meaning behind it. Highly recommend! Santiago was my guide and did a great job showing me the area!

Overall, Santiago was a great tour guide. Nobody else showed up for the tour except my husband and I so we actually got a private tour and it was very nice. My husband and I had already had a few bites to eat before the tour which I highly recommend you DO NOT do because you’ll be trying a lot of food on the tour. The only reason I gave this rating is because multiple times on the tour I felt a bit of pressure to purchase additional things and I was not too happy about that. If people already paid for a tour they don’t expect to have to pay more. At that point they just want to sit back relax and get their moneys worth. The pressure of buying more things seems to be a common theme in Medellin. Also, I thought we’d be rooftop hopping but we only did 1 rooftop so that was a bit disappointing. Other than that, my husband and i got to see a couple new spots in Provenza that had pretty cheap prices so that was nice and I finally got to see the rooftop of Masaya which had been on my bucket list since the first time I visited Medellin. Santiago himself was an awesome guide, very personable and his English was very good as well. It felt like we were just hanging with a friend. Thanks Santiago for a great night on behalf of both of us.
Come with an empty stomach as you will get to sample a good variety of tasty street food. Our guide Santiago was very friendly, personable, and took the time to get to know everyone and share with us all sorts of interesting information about the neighbourhood. We are in our 40s and don't like to party, but this experience allowed us to appreciate the party environment of the neighbourhood at a nice relaxed pace that didn't feel overwhelming. Having a savvy local with a lot of street smarts made us feel much more comfortable and welcome. Thanks Santiago!!
Great tour! 2nd year in a row I did same tour with Santiago, but with my family this time. He's an excellent guide and gives good advice about other things you may be interested in. Loved the rooftop bar and the walk getting there. Santiago told great stories about artwork we saw on the way and its history.
Awesome experience with Santiago - recommend it if you want to know about some cool off the beaten track places for food in Medellin!
We did this tour our first night in Medellin and are so happy that we did! We were in a small group with our guide Santiago. He took us all over the neighborhood explaining way more than food. By the end of the tour we were comfortable with where to eat in El Poblado and how to get there. Santiago was very patient, knowledgeable, and well known at our food stops. My husband has a specific food allergy and Santiago went out of his way to ensure that he could get a taste of everything. I was so grateful for his attention to detail. Also the food was great to try!! We did not leave hungry. Book this tour if you want to get a good feel for El Poblado, Columbian cuisine, and meet some amazing people in your group.
Santiago was the perfect guide for a look at all that Poblado has to offer. We tried authentic eats and had some amazing views.
I really enjoyed those tour. Our tour guid, Santiago, was really nice and the food was amazing. He is from Medellin, so I can tell he is passionate to show tourists around his city. I will definitely say, don’t eat all day because it is a lot of food
Santiago was amazing!!! He was very informative and helpful with explaining the different foods and places we visited. He also made sure we all introduced ourselves and go time to relax and enjoy the places we visited. I would recommend him as your guide.
You are better of doing your own tour and walking around. The guide asked us to arrive 10-15 minutes early and then arrived after the starting time. Then proceeded to wait 15 minutes for someone that didn’t show up. The foods we tried were not the authentic Colombian street food I was expecting and was greasy fried fast food. Also, the host was flirting with the baristas and on his phone during the tour. This tour also mentions rooftops/bars but we only visited one rooftop for maybe 15 minutes?? You’re better off doing your own tour
We visited only one rooftop. This activity concentrated more in street food but it was very good. The tour guide was excellent.
The food tour was excellent. The tour guide was fluent in English, friendly and knowledgeable. The food selection was excellent and the whole experience is highly recommended
This tour was a great way to learn about the cuisine and culture of Medellin. Santiago was very knowledgeable and helpful and shared so much about the culture. This was definitely a highlight of my trip to Columbia.
Santiago was truly amazing. He was so sweet and went above and beyond during our trip. He is very knowledgeable and gave us insight to places we would have otherwise missed. He made sure everyone felt included and comfortable. This is a must if you find yourself in the area, especially with him as your guide 🩵
Great food tour in El Poblado! Tried a lot of traditional Colombian foods and desserts. Recommend for anyone looking to get to know the neighborhood better.
Great experience! We tried lots of yummy food and learned a lot about the area and country. Great job!
This was a good way to get to know the area for a first-timer to Medellín. Santiago was a great guide and our group had fun too. Hanging out on the rooftop was the best part of the evening.
So there were about 12 people in our group and immediately we realize that the age range is about 20s - 30s . Our guide himself was only 19! We started at the church to get some Arepas which was actually OK but very greasy. We then got some drinks from the local bar which was in a shady neighborhood. We then walked to get bunuelos, which were pretty tasty . The other people on our tour were pretty drunk and high the entire time. Then we ended up going to a rooftop which was probably the highlight and paid for our own cocktails. Get the one with the passionfruit. It was the best. From there, we went to one of the street vendors for super greasy 2 AM sandwiches, which were sausages and supposed to meat lol And then we ended our tour with empanadas. Definitely not for anyone over the age of 25 to 30 ..
Santiago, our guide, was charming and quite funny. We ate a lot of food including different types of arepas. He also gave us a lot of information about the area and his opinions about whether arepas originated in Venezuela or Colombia. Ask for Santiago.
As a picky eater, I am always scared to book food tours in new cities. But this one was amazing, I ate every single thing to the last crumb! Our tour guide Brayan was so passionate and friendly, and really was focused on us having a good experience.
This is a great tour, and Brian is a great host. I have done street food tours in Bogota and Cartagena before, and this is the best I have been on. The food and planning is better. Food is prepared as soon as we show up. And it is good. Dont eat before the trip, you will be full :-)
I was visiting my brother, who has lived in Medellin for 1 year only. We decided to take this tour through Viator. Brayan our tour guide was fun and informative. He gave us a bit of background of all the foods we were going to eat, then took us to 5 different places to sample the local foods. He spaced out the stops so we wouldn't get overfull. There were six of us on the tour. All the participants were nice and friendly. Overall, we had a great tour
