Amazing experience with Oscar and his company Tourguides Medellín! Visited Colombia for five days for the first time with my two sons (age 11 and 17)…our experience with Tourguides Medellín was the best part of our trip! We toured the city center, saw Botero sculptures, visited Comuna 13 and rode a cable car to see the beautiful landscape from an elevated position. Separately, we did a day trip to Guatapé and a small family-run coffee and cacao finca. Oscar (and Julio) were incredibly friendly and helpful, and extremely professional and punctual. Superb communication. Gave recommendations on local shopping and low-key activities for my family and also arranged airport transportation for us. All aspects of the guide service were more than worth the reasonable cost ($60 pp for city tour, $80 pp for Guatapé and $110 pp for finca tour) to make the most of our limited time in this beautiful part of the world. We hope to return and see Oscar and his other guides again soon!
Yuly was an amazing tour guide! She knew so much about the history and our main goal was to learn about the history that created such a vibrant culture! Everything went perfect. They reached out early to introduce themselves and tell us what to expect. I let them know my daughter was very excited and wanted to take lots of pictures. We had a great tour with Henry. We were able to see. Comuna 13 and walk the amazing neighborhood. Henry was able to tell us the history of the neighborhood and how it transformed from being under the rule of a drug lord and one of the most dangerous places in the world tour tourist Haven the transformation was amazing. We also stopped by Pablo Escobar's safe house and where he was captured as it was on the way Henry was a great tour guide very flexible which was great because this was the last stop on our nine day trip to Colombia and we were already tired.

Jane and I had a wonderful time experiencing Comuna 13 with our tour guide Henry. He explained the history of the area from the days of fighting with the guerrillas and all the pain of those times to the present day tourist attraction with everyone enjoying themselves. He really made our experience special. I asked to try the various tropical fruits and he made a tray of different passion fruits, mangosteen and others. It was great. He was a fantastic guide.
Oscar was great. He picked us up on time for our private tour. The vehicle was great as well. He explained many things to us in good English as we drove. The cable car ride was very clean with excellent views. He obviously knows his way around as he greeted a couple other tour guides and a few vendors. We can’t imagine going to Communa 13 without a guide. The background of the area and descriptions of the graffiti were very helpful. When done we asked to be dropped off in the Laureles neighborhood vs back at our hotel which he gladly did. He recommended Mundo Verde for lunch which we enjoyed. Great tour and highly recommend it.
