Was good fun! Had to pay extra for atv but all in all good fun

I would highly recommend booking this private tour with ecoexperience. They are very flexible with where to pick you up and drop you off which was important to me. Our tour guide was very accommodating and fun to be around. The pablo escobar mansion tour is 10/10. The most fun we’ve ever had. We rode ATVs, dabbled in some paintball, took pictures on their beautiful horses, and we decided to pay a bit extra for 30 minutes on jet skis. The history of the property is also quite intriguing. The guide took us to a beautiful restaurant on the water called ATMA. The food was sooooo good. The food is not included in the tour so bring money for that. We went to see el peñol but decided not to climb it because we were already tired. There was still a walking tour of Guatape but by that time it was the evening and we wanted to rest! All in all you get a lot of bang for your buck.

Worth every penny! So lucky to have gotten Santiago as a guide he was incredible, everything we needed and had questions about he was there with the knowledge and overall made the experience so much better! The tour itself is really well planned, Guatape to start, a climb of the big rock and then a tour of the town. The boat ride to La Manuela was amazing and our driver was great. From there La Manuela was so interesting. Our guide around the property was Filip who was amazing at his job and so knowledgeable! The ATV rides and then paintballing were great fun. Honestly couldn't complain about a single thing, was skeptical about the price but would book this again and again without a doubt. A must do tour!

He is fluent in English and Spanish, which is a big plus for me/us as my wife Claudia speaks Spanish only. Alejandro has traveled throughout Europe, Central and South America giving him well versed international knowledge and experiece. He is a great communicator with excellent listening and rapport building skills via his pleasant, humble, assertive, and positive personality expressing care and extensive knowledge of his chosen craft as a tour guide and travel advisor. From 8 a.m. through 8 p.m. Alejandro maintained his positive energy and close engagement to our tour delivering sound information and lively conversations; time went by fast! Wear breathable, comfortable clothing and remember to bring pesos for items at the locations since some stops don’t take dollar or may not have change. The host was amazing, courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating. The views are amazing and it really is an all day thing. The piedra is a feat but it really is satisfying to complete. The vehicle used for the tour is spacious and clean and you get to play any music you would like. I would recommend this to all the adventurers out there.

What an experience! This excursion is so much more than it first appears. We were very lucky to have Santiago as our guide. He dropped us a message the day before to confirm arrangements and from the get go was the absolute best person for us. From the moment we got into the car the experience began- Santiago gave full social and cultural history of everywhere we went and social commentary on all the things we asked about. Our first stop was at the wild el al todel chocho. Free roaming llamas and goats, performing Colombian horses and the opportunity to bottle feed koi carp (!!) We then moved on to Piedra del Penol - a 200m granite monolith. Santiago explained the history of the rock and that the views of the lake and generally from the top, were spectacular. Sensibly he didn’t make the climb- it is 708 step straight upwards! That said, there are plenty of stopping places and most people stop several times on the way up. Santiago was right, the views from the top are incredible and until that point, you have no idea just how huge the lake is. From there we went on to the town of Guatape- which is beautiful and has so much history. Santiago explained the history of the town, the importance of the reliefs and of the street of memory- he was the perfect guide, knowledgable and funny. After a lovely lunch at the side of the lake, Santiago handed us over to Fernando and said he would meet us at Hacienda Manuela. Fernando took us on his boat for a tour of some of the vast lake. He pointed out famous footballer holiday homes and took us to the huge cross erected as a memorial to the sunken town. After a good 45 mins of touring the lake, Fernando took us to Hacienda Manuela. We were met by our guide who took us round the 3 buildings, giving great detail of what they were and how they would have looked. While the main house is quite derelict as a result of the bombing, the guest house, security tower and bar/disco are in reasonable condition-all things considered. The stables have been renovated and, as of the previous day, now hold horses! The plan is to offer horseback riding around the site- which is a great idea and will be brilliant! After a tour of the site we headed to paintballing. As a family of 3 we were unsure about full on warfare so the guy set us up with guns and a free rein at the targets in the arena- which was perfect! He also had us pose around the arena for some ace photos! We headed back up the hill and there was Santiago waiting for us as promised. We embarked on the long journey back to the hotel (about 2 hours- traffic at that time is crazy!). Santiago had ace tunes, great conversation and continued with interesting info making the journey the perfect end to the most amazing day. If you only do one excursion, I highly recommend this one, it is so much more than 90 mins at Hacienda Manuela, it’s a full on immersion into Colombia. If you’re really lucky, you’ll get Santiago as your guide.

David was amazing from the beginning from pickup to paintball. He picked us up on time and was basically our city guide while we made our trip to Guatape. He was prepared for all the weather chances. OMG, this experience was everything. We had a private tour for a group of 6 and the communication, transportation and experience was everything and more. We climbed the rock, visiting the colorful town of Guatape, sailed on a boat and visited the Pablo Escobar farm where we did ATV’s and paintball (be mindful they have dogs on the property). Our tour guide Santiago was EVERYTHING AND MORE. Very accommodating, down to earth, and he spoke English which was a bonus. We would highly recommend this tour! Absolutely amazing trip and definitely a must do if in the area. We did so many different activities like feeding alpacas, paintballing, boat ride and ATV driving (around Pablo's mansion!) and everything went very smoothly. This trip seemed so worth the price for the full day of activities. My two friends and I were picked up by Alejandro. We stopped at one of his favorite local breakfast spots just outside of Medellin for breakfast and coffee, then had a 1.5hr drive through the countryside to Guatapé. We learned a little about the country’s history and Spanish language while on the drive. Once we arrived at one of the many places Pablo Escobar used to own, we drove ATVs around the compound for about an hour and a half. Pro tip: have cash on hand for drinks/snacks/gift shop purchases as they do not have electricity or card readers on site. We needed cash from our amazing driver who was nice enough to help us out. After ATVs, we played paintball at the compound (price includes 100 paintballs and protective gear) then drove the boat around the man-made lake (each one of us had a turn to drive). Then explored the town of Guatapé and climbed up the 659 steps of the famous rock with sweeping views of the whole area from the top. Then we drove back to the city where we were picked up from. We were stuck in traffic getting back for about 2 hours so definitely recommend bringing something to keep yourself entertained like a book or something.

We did this tour with a group of 10, and it completely exceeded our expectations! Riding ATVs through Pablo’s estate was an absolute blast. On top of the adventure, we really appreciated the historical insights our tour guide shared at each stop along the way. Don’t hesitate—book this tour! You won’t be disappointed.

This trip was absolutely amazing! We did so much, and Felipe was incredibly attentive throughout. We visited Alto del Chocho in the town of Marinilla, the Atypical House, and La Manuela—where we learned about the property, enjoyed a delicious meal, drove four-wheelers, and did some safe point-blank paintball shooting, which was great for our 5-year-old (and us). We also took a boat ride to Guatapé, strolled through the colorful town, and finally visited El Peñol. It was truly an unforgettable experience. So much fun!!

we were a middle-aged bachelor party of 6. these guys made it so easy to see and experience the region! a good blend of activity, relaxation, and in between. it made it easy to enjoy the area without having to do any real planning. would highly recommend you trusting these guys to deliver a great full-day experience.

This tour had it all! It had everything we wanted to do without having to do any of the planning. I first I thought it was a bit expensive but it was worth EVERY penny! We were able to fit so much into our day and having a local with us was key. The company was very good with communication and they were so accommodating. Our guide Alejandro was spectacular! He reached out to us the day before to confirm plans and was very flexible throughout the day as our plans changed. They picked us up at our hotel in Medellin and brought us around and showed us a wonderful time in Guatape and Peñol. He was informative, so nice to talk with and extremely helpful. I cannot stress enough how wonderful this day was and how you should definitely book a tour with them!

Most incredible day ever. Our guide Santiago made it virtually seamless and we literally did animal farm, guatape, ATVs, jet skis, paintball at Escobars mansion, toured several cool towns and had great meals. Truly an unbelievable day. Santiago is the greatest. He knows everyone and has all the expert trips, but most of all he’s just chill, fun, and easy to talk to. A phenomenal and patient photographer as well lol.

A really wonderful full-day trip to Guatapé. Alejandro picked up the three of us from our hotel in Medellin. Communication the day before was clear and concise. Getting to see the Escobar mansion ruins and ATV around the property was really cool. We did the paintball, but just for target practice and it was fun (but hot with all the gear). Boat trip on the lake was kinda short but very beautiful. Lunch was very tasty and high quality (out of pocket, as noted). Piedra Penol is a pretty easy climb if you’re in reasonable shape and such great views - really gives you a full perspective on how beautiful Guatapé is. Highly recommend this trip. It’s a matter of preference and what you’re able/willing to spend…but I was so happy to be on a private tour versus all the overpacked boats with blaring music we saw on the lake. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Paintball and ATV's are always reliable family fun, but this experience took it to another level that might be hard to replicate anywhere else in the world because of the historical setting and overall beauty of the area. We had a flawless meetup with our guide Steven in front of Guatapé's central church and an easy speedboat ride to Pablo Escobar's bombed out mansion, La Manuela. Our ATV guide there was Paula, and she did a fantastic job taking us on a tour of the property and making different stops to give us exciting context and answer our many questions about Escobar's complicated history. Our paintball guide Freddy was excellent too and we loved playing Capture the Colombian Flag! He offered us full overalls, vests, and gloves for playing, which we appreciated. If you're visiting Guatapé, don't miss out on this rare opportunity.

Honestly probably the best thing we did in all of Colombia! I visited Medellin with a group of 12 for a bachelor party. We had arranged this thinking we had to do at least one activity besides the night life. I am glad we did, as I think this day was the best thing we did during our 1 week stay. We did a helicopter ride around Guatape Rock, a boat ride to Guatape the city, ATVs and paintball on Pablo’s compound and finished it off with lunch and a sightseeing tour in Guatape. Because we basically wanted to do every activity they had to offer it was a long day, but totally worth it. The staff was amazing sharing history, culture, and local lore and were just overall awesome people. When I come back in the future, this will be the first thing I do with others. Can’t recommend them enough!

What a cool experience. From the moment we were picked up in the shuttle, it was clear that we were in for a great time. Our tour guide Gabriel was amazing and knowledgeable. Along our route he pointed out points of interest. When we arrived at the helipad, we were greeted by a team of tour guides and photographers. Our helicopter ride was amazing, giving us amazing views and photo ops. Arriving at Pablos Estate was so cool and learning about all the secrets of the site was really cool. Riding the ATVs around the property was great and playing paintball on site was a special experience. The staff was so nice and the overall experience was exceptional!

This was the perfect day trip to Guatape! Couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend a day with the boys. This is a new tour and the guides are super enthusiastic, and every detail is looked after. Book this tour without hesitation.

This was an awesome experience. Our hosts/guides were really relaxed and fun to hang out with. They took a million pictures for us which was nice and did some drone footage as well. The drive is bumpy due to the roads, but it’s definitely worth it. So many highlights - blasting music while speeding along the lake next to Pablo’s old mansion, atv’ing, paintballing, la Piedra and guatape. If you’re looking for a full day activity look no further.
