ENG: My family and I (6 people) booked the Guatapé and Comuna 13 private day tour and had an amazing time. Andres the owner was the main person who helped us coordinate this day trip. He is very friendly and flexible to our needs. We were able to tell him what exactly we wanted to do on this day trip and he ensured we had the most perfect itinerary planned with Erika as our guide. Our tour guide, Erika, was the most incredible tour guide we have ever had. Erika was very accommodating, flexible and kind. She is also very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the different places we visited. We felt extremely welcomed and comfortable with Erika as she guided us through Comuna 13 and Guatapé. It was the most perfect trip and anything we needed or felt unsure about, Erika always ensured we were having the best time. We HIGHLY recommend Erika as your tour guide and this company as well. Erica was a fantastic tour guide! So informative and a pleasure to spend the day with. We went to the Rock and Guatape first so we beat a lot of the tour buses. At 65 years old, I was hesitant to take the stairs all the way to the top, but with Erika’s reassurance that I could do it, I did and I’m so glad I did as the views were gorgeous and it was really a sense of accomplishment l. In Guatape, she took me around to some quieter areas that were not filled with tourists and took me to some authentic art galleries so I could purchase a true Colombian artists work. Communa 13 was very crowded but nonetheless interesting to learn the history and meaning behind some of the street art. Best of all, I really was hoping that we could see everything in less than the 10 1/2 hour timeframe and she structured the day so this could be accomplished while still seeing everything I felt necessary. All while driving in the car during the recent earthquake and not feeling a thing. In fact we didn’t even know anything had happened until the tunnel we needed to go through was closed and we didn’t know why. It was a little extra excitement to the day! Highly recommend this tour and Erika!
I use this company on my last day in Metin with some of my friends to tour Guatape and climb the Peñol rock and also go to communal 13. Our tour guides name was Erika. She was the best part of this whole experience truly. She told us all these stories and gave us so much information on the history of everything we were seeing and the locations we were visiting. She was so incredibly knowledgeable and that is what made the whole experience so worthwhile truly. I originally considered sightseeing all the main attractions myself with my friends but I am SO thankful I did not go that route and instead booked this tour with this company and met Erika. I truly would have missed out exponentially if I did not get to learn about all the things Erika knew to tell us. The rock was just over 700 stairs and it was a challenge but worth the view from the top! Another great thing about Erika and this company is how they allowed us to take our time but also made sure to keep us on track. Another major plus point was how well organized the tour was because I've definitely had my share of tours that were not at all organized and that can be quite frustrating. I 10000000% recommend this tour and even more, I recommend Erika! Thank you Erika so incredibly much. You will be remembered forever and we hope to see you again soon!
Diana was spectacular and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended! Great experience and will do it all over again! Thank you guys
AMAZING!!!! This is the 2nd** time I have been on this tour. First time was 2 years ago with 1 set of friends and now I came back with another group. We used the same tour guide Sarita and she is absolutely fantastic. Knowledgeable on everything; knows everyone. Made the experience for me and my friends truly one of kind. Even after the tour finished, she was always available for questions and recommendations for what to do the entire time my group was in Medellin!!!! Would recommend 100000/10 times!!!!
Great tour combination of Medellin and Guatapo. Erica was great and knowledgeable guide, who made our time in Colombia so memorable! Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing day led by Laura. We learned so much, ate great food, saw amazing sites, and had a ton of fun while doing it. The drive time also went by quickly as Laura was very fun to talk to. I would highly recommend this trip and Medellin day trips as a company 100%.
This was one of the BEST tours my friends and I did on our trip to Colombia! Sara was amazing!! I cannot say enough great things about her… it feels like we made a life long friend with her. She was soo knowledgeable! We booked directly through Medellin Day Trips to ensure the local company got most of the money. No regrets! We miss Sara already. Just be ready to walk around a lot… so get comfy shoes. You’ll spend a lot of time in a car to drive places but Sara will tell you allll you need to know about Medellin. Highly highly highly highly recommend! If you get Sara … you’ll have won the jackpot!
This is an amazing day tour that highlights all the good in Medellin! Esteban showed up on time and aided his in both a graffiti tour and Guatape! Esteban is very knowledgeable and him speaking English made the experience that much more enjoyable! I would highly recommend this company.
Erika gave us lots of interesting bits of history and tailored the day nicely to our needs. She was engaged, informative and really accommodating. Highly recommend this tour and Erika.
The morning we spent in the Comuna13 in Medellin and our afternoon trip to Guatape were unique experiences of our stay in Medellin. Erika, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and provided excellent information about what we saw. Plenty of history and background info on the entire experience. Even though it was a full day, Erika allowed for reststops, shopping, and dining. We saw local culture such as artists, musicians, dancers, and venders. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Erika as your tour guide.
A full day of history and marvelous views. Erika was my guide for the day and was great company. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much about every detail we saw in Comuña 13 and Guatape. She even picked out a great place for lunch and helped me find the most unique poncho that I was looking for in Guatape. Climbing the rock takes a bit of effort with over 600 (narrow) steps, but the views are worth its Unforgettable experience and will definitely go again.
Great experience Comuna 13 and Guatape tour with Sarah. Sarah was knowledgeable, experienced, and personable with full of energy. We learned so much in 1 day visiting both sites.
Last year we toured with Erika, said we would be back, and this year we did! We scheduled more tours this trip since we enjoyed the Coffee Farm and Guatape Tour so much previously. Over a few days, we went on the Food Tour, Graffiti and City tour, and Guatape and Flower Farm tour. Erika is truly amazing and was patient with all our questions and wanting to stop everywhere. We learned so much about each place we went to, and she knew great spots to stop along the way. Guatape was beautiful and there's definitely something to be said for walking around with someone who knows the stories of each mural and friendly locals. The car ride was easy and comfortable, lots of space and AC. Erika spoke perfect English and Spanish, she's very knowledgeable and passionate. We feel very fortunate to have had her as our tour guide and we can't wait to go back and take more tours!
This tour is a great option if you have just one day in Medellin. Sara was our tour guide, she is incredible and a really nice person. Sara explained to us everything about Medellin and the places that we visited; we had such a great time with her. We visited the Comuna 13 (Comuna and Graffiti Tour) and the beautiful Guatapé (Peñol and Zocalos Town). We also added as an extra the Metrocable tour, and it was a wonderful experience with nice views of Medellin. Andres answered all my questions before booking the tour and gave me valuable tips. I highly recommend this tour and Medellin Day Trips!
This tour had everything. Adventure, history and art. Climbing the stairs of El Penon de Guatape. The view was amazing. Learning the history of the town was very interesting as well. I was totally immersed in the graffiti art of Communa 13. Out tour guide Alejandro was so knowledgeable and engaging. I would def go again.
From start to finish our experience was exceptional! We spent the day with our guide Daniel, who arrived at our hotel promptly at 7:30 in the morning. Daniel is very knowledgeable, fun and easy to be with. We left our hotel in Medellin and headed to Guatape where we climbed La Piedra and then walked around Guatape. Daniel knew all about the area and also showed us several chocolate shops which made my husband very happy. Then we drove to Communa 13 and spent several hours touring, all while hearing details about the history of Communa 13. Again, Daniel provided excellent information.
Erica is an AWESOME human. She was more prepared, thorough, patient, and kind than ANY tour guide I've ever met. She went above and beyond to ensure comfort and satisfaction amongst our whole family. She shares her knowledge in a way that conveys the importance of the history of Medellin. She's a wealth of information. We loved our first tour so much that we promptly signed up for another one. We will absolutely come back to Medellin and contact Medellin Day Trips again.
I highly recommend this private tour with Medellin Day Trips. My guide was Yuly and she was amazing, Her English was fantastic and she was such a lovely lady. She explained the history of Communa 13 very well and i learnt a lot from her. I felt safe at all times and thoroughly enjoyed walking around this area and taking photos of the beautiful art. The second part of the tour is Guatape where you climb the rock and have a walking tour around Guatape town. We even found a vegan restaurant to have lunch in. Guatape is beautiful and climbing up the rock is a great experience too. This day trip is a good combination of history, nature and beauty and i was glad the company offered a tour where you can combine 2 sights in one day. A wonderful day trip with a wonderful guide, and excellent customer service.
Everything was great, Henry was a very nice positive person who made our day really enjoyable. I definitely recommend!
Where can I start? From beginning to end , the experience with Medellin tour was just amazing. Andres was of great help planning everything and Alejandro , was simply awesome. He explained the whole history behind every place we went and was very patient with all of us.
Alejo and Andres were excellent! Alejo spent the whole day teaching us about the history of Colombia. He is passionate and excited to answer all the questions we had! The tour of comuna 13 was co-led with a local, which made the experience seem more authentic. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour and was extremely grateful to have Alejo as our tour guide! Muchas gracias!!
This was one of the best tours I have ever been on. Daniel was so knowledgeable and explained everything. I would recommend this tour to everyone. It is a MUST!!!!
Amazing tour! First time in Colombia and visiting Guatapé and learning about the Comuna 13 was incredible. Daniel, our tour guide was really nice and explained everything to us. If you’re in Medellin, definitely book this trip, you won’t regret it! Medellin Day Tours made our Medellin experience unforgettable.
We spent the day with Daniel. He was funny, well spoken, and friendly. We started the day at Comuna 13. The graffiti was stunning. The outdoor elevators were fascinating. Daniel seemed to know everyone and we were able to meet one of the most famous artists of the area. Next, we went to a small farmers market outside of Medellin where we tried many delicious fresh fruits and we were able to take some to go as well! Finally we traveled to Piedra Del Penol and Guatape. That climb to the top of Penol, ugh! But Daniel never rushed us and we eventually made it. The scenery was breathtaking and well worth the climb!! We ate a late lunch in Guatape and enjoyed the colors and artwork of Guatape. Overall it was one of the best day trips we've ever had and I would highly recommend it.
We had an excellent family stay thanks to this guide! We visited Medellín, Guatapé, El Peñol, and Comuna 13, and every excursion was perfectly organized. Our guide was truly exceptional: very friendly, professional, punctual, and passionate. He was able to share a lot of interesting information about the history, culture, and places visited, while adapting to our pace. We had a great time and have wonderful memories of this trip. We recommend this guide without hesitation to anyone who wants to discover the region under the best conditions. Thanks again for this unforgettable experience!
We did the tour with Erika, she is a great professional and very close, she is very vigilant so that everything goes well and at the client's pleasure. We had a great day.
I recommend this experience to everyone who goes to Medellin, more if possible, if you do not go many days. Daniel, our guide, made sure that on a rainy day we made the most of the experience, taking us to Guatape first while it rained in Medellin and saving us a lot of queues and then taking us to Commune 13 where it no longer rained. Super personalized experience in every way, with Daniel explaining everything we visited and always giving us the option to choose, where we ate, if we wanted to lengthen any part, etc. Recommended 100% to see these places with maximum amenities and best guarantees.
Our guide Erika excellent care, very knowledgeable of the whole history. Amazing attention. The amazing tour. 100% recommended. He gave us a wonderful day, his recommendations were right.
It would be iterative to comment on the activities in Ushuaia. But there's one Tip that very few know. Go to the Tourist Office and ask for the Diploma for having visited the southernmost city in the world. It's free and they offer you more than one. You can also add large postage stamps, such as those listed at the bottom. It's very nice. On my return I showed them all.
