Laura our tour guide was amazing. She was friendly and knowledgeable adding context to all the visiting sites. Make sure you pack comfortable shoes for Commune 13 as you will walk steep roads and steps if city escalators are shut down due to weather. Eye opening experience. Medellin is beautiful and raw.

Hector was AMAZING! He was prompt, kind, attentive and gave us a very thorough tour. Being born in Columbia and having lived in the US for close to 30 years made him very valuable as far as knowing the area and understanding us Americans. His English was perfect. We are going to book another trip with him while we are still here.

There is so much to see in Medellin, and we had a fantastic guide, Andres. We covered so much territory and did so much. Commune 13 is amazing. You should do this with a great local guide like Andres. We learned so much about the history of the area as well as life in Medellin. The private tour gives you such a better experience and adds time to do and enjoy more.

We only had two days in Medellin and we wanted to make the most of our time here so we decided to book a private City Tour for our family of 5. I have been traveling through Columbia with my daughter, son-in-law and two grandsons (5 and 8) for the past month and we are at the end of our trip! Our day with Luis Fernando was truly special! Luis speaks English very well, knows the city like the back of his hand having grown up here, is extremely knowledgeable about the history, has great stories about different events that have happened here and all of that is paired with a great sense of humor! It is not always easy to keep both adults and young children interested but we all enjoyed our day immensely. We toured around the city to the various places listed in the itinerary and took the cable car up to the top of one of the areas where the locals needed access to get back and forth to work (it wasn't built as a tourist attraction) Luis took us to a few great local spots - one of them was for empanadas in Communa 13 that were delicious! We tried one of each type and they were all hits! Everyone in the area knows Luis and from the way they greeted him, you could tell they hold him in high regard! If you want a great city tour then I highly recommend Viaja Medellin and Luis as your guide!

Edgar was a superb guide and host for our day in Medellin. We had a thorough tour from downtown which included trips on the cable car and the metro through the city park by the river to the vibrant Sector 13. Edgar’s knowledge and enthusiasm for his city was infectious and we really enjoyed our day with him.

Mateo was our friendly and courteous driver who came to pick us up at our hotel right on time. He was very knowledgeable about the different places he took us, in a very nice and comfortable car. He also took tons of pictures in a creative way. I surely would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to know Medellin in a pleasant way.

Had an awesome, super chill time touring Comuna 13, even with the Flower Festival crowds. The vibe was laid-back, the art and stories were amazing, and our guide’s empanada recommendations were spot-on—so good! Definitely worth it.

My fiancé and I booked this experience. Our tour guide was Hector and he was incredible. Hector is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and easy going. I was scared of heights and he was very flexible with the schedule and the start time which I really appreciated. He tailored the tour to things that we would enjoy the most and we never felt rushed to go to the next stop. He told us about the history of Colombia and Medellin and showed us before and after pictures of the Communa 13. We absolutely fell in love with Communa 13, it is a beautiful place filled with history and now incredible artwork depicting what the people there went through and what they're hopeful for. This tour was absolutely amazing and the best part of my trip to Medellin. If you have to choose only one tour for your trip to Medellin, this is the one for you. It is a private tour so it’s just you, your family & the tour guide. If I had more time, I would do this tour (especially the Comuna 13 portion) again. You will not regret this!

Mateo was an excellent guide - navigating us through the city at our own pace. Lots of interesting information on the art installations their meaning and history. All topped off with some wonderful drink and snack stops with great views and ambience.

Hector did a great job on our tour of Medellin. He seemed to know everyone around town, spoke excellent English, and was well-versed in the background of each area. We especially enjoyed seeing Comuna 13. Very cool art and dancing all around. The gondolas and Botero sculptures were great too. Seemed like the day went by fast because it was a good time. If you want a good private tour, this is a great option. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience with Mateo as our guide. I recommend asking for him by name if you want an English-speaking guide. He can tell you as much or as little as you want about history and culture. We have three kids—one of them a toddler—and all of us enjoyed this tour. From departure to return, the tour took 5 hours. Some of that was time navigating Medellin’s Saturday morning traffic, but this driving tour was a great way to better know a city.

Our guide Edgar was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the city. He drove two of us all for the entire tour. There was no wasted time on this tour and is recommended if you’d like to know the major parts of the city in one day.

We were four and fit well in the car. We’re taken to metro cable, Comune 13, and down town. Everything went well and we were happy to have taken the tour, traffic was heavy though but we all enjoyed it.

Jorge went above and beyond our expectations. He was always very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the visit to the colorful and divers Comuna 13. We also enjoyed the Cerró Nutibsra and Pueblito Paisa. Finally we visited Parques del Rio at the Medellin River. I highly recommend Jorge Bohorquez for all those who plan to visit Medellin.
