This tour combined a very informative personal commentary by tour guide Diego on the life and death of Pablo Escobar and the complicated story of the Medellin cartels. The tour also included the Botero Plaza, Comuna 13 and the cable car. It is well worth taking – particularly if you also take the time to visit the Casa de Memoria in Medellin, which commemorates the lives and deaths of victims of cartel, paramilitary, government and guerilla violence over a 40-year period.
We really enjoyed meeting Diego, our guide and were quite frankly blown away both by the inside story of Pablo Escobar and also the city tour. Diego’s knowledge and insight made it a truly memorable experience and we just loved Communa 13. A fantastic day. We highly recommend these tours if you are spending some time in Medellin.
