Private Christmas Lights Tour In Medellin With Transportation

The guide was excellent walking at a pace to accommodate my experiencing the multiple places we visited to enjoy the beautiful Christmas lights of Medellín.

The variety and themes of the lights were great. Our guide, David, went out of his way to share information about Medellin, his country, other sights/tours/foods to enjoy and was personable, caring and helpful.

Daniel Pineda was our private tour guide and he was on time, courteous and very knowledgeable. We went to 3 different sites and he explained the history of each and was on time picking us up at each stop. 1st stop the River lights , we were given 1hr to walk around. 2nd stop was in Sabanetta and there were an array of lights, food and great vibe. We stayed 30mins. 3rd stop wasn't really a stop as we never got out the car but instead drove around looking at lights in the local parks and streets. The car was a SUV so my family of 4 was comfortable. There weren't really any cons but something to note and I saw in another review. It may seem as if you are booking a bus but instead we had a private (Daniel) car pick us at the hotel and dropped us back off. I actually prefer this so I don't have to go looking for a meet up spot. Again, not a con but just be aware of this if you are looking for a bus experience.

Very enjoyable experience. If there was a way to avoid the traffic driving to the first part of the light show then the experience would be 5 stars. Daniel was very accommodating and took lots of photos of us with the beautiful lights.

I Booked this excursion with Viator over a week before our trip , we wanted to experience the Chiva bus experience with the family ,I paid over $200 for the 4 of us to go I never got a confirmation on where we were to be picked up, so I looked up a close location were the buses makes pick ups . it was a few blocks from our hotel so we walked when we arrived the buses were all lined up and loading guest but when I asked they did not have our reservation they told us that were Book with Viator that we would be touring the lights in a car and they would pick us up at the hotel so we had to walk back to our hotel so we were picked up in a car , it wasn't the drivers fault he was fantastic he made our tour the best it could he was bilingual and went with us everywhere we stopped but we were expecting the Chiva bus experience, I felt we could have just got a Taxi to take us to the four areas of lights even though our reservation advertised CHIVA BUS CHRISTMAS LIGHT TOUR .....I will never book with VIATOR AGAIN !

We had an outstanding tour with Daniel. He went out of his way to show us various parts of the city and explain the history. The Christmas lights were absolutely fabulous. We truly enjoyed going to some of the local parks that were decorated and having some local food. The major park was busy but the lights were amazing. I would recommend this tour with Daniel to anyone coming to see the Christmas lights.

<p>This was an excellent tour. Our guide was super friendly and took us to all the listed towns and even took me by another area I wanted to see Park Llarus spelling that is lit up at night. When in Medellin over Christmas time frame I would highly recommend this tour. I was blown away by how all the towns go all out with lights, festivals, street food vendors etc. Everyone, I mean everyone the streets are jammed packed with locals and visitors enjoying the lights was so friendly and in a festive mood.</p>

We visited the old town of Poblado, the light show at the university, walked around the lake at Parque Norte, and and down to Centro to walk along the lighted street. Was a wonderful time. This is a 2 part review. 5 stars for the tour and our Guide Silvio, 1 star for the lights. If you are in Medellin and nothing to do ... go see the lights. If you, like us, travel there to see the lights ... don't waste your money. If you have seen Disney Land or some of the better neighborhood show around the U.S., you have seen better.

<p>This is the second year in a row, we booked the Christmas Lights Tour in Medellin with Viator. We were so thrilled when our guide for last year showed up at our hotel for pickup. <p>This year there was no lights over the river due to construction. We also took the tour too late as some of the venues had already started to take down the lights. The driver was very good but the congested traffic slowed the tour down.</p>

Christmas lights is a tur that cannot be overlooked. It's an amazing experience. The guide was very friendly and informative

It is a very well organized show. Very SAFE for families with small children, they have a lot of fun The color of its figures is extraordinary and also the design of the DANZASTES waters is extraordinary.

Very nice experience with the theme of Charm. Everything in order and clean in the park, plus there is security and food.
