Interesting history behind Pablo and C13 which Camilo was very knowledgeable about. The private tour felt laidback. Recommend completing the tour in the morning as C13 gets really crowded.

Camilo was an amazing tour guide, he not only showed me all the relevant and important sites but he explained the background and history of each site to give me a full understanding of that time frame in Medellin’s history. Having lived in Medellin his whole life he could also relate and explain how that time period affected the whole population of the city. I highly recommend Camilo as a tour guide for this tour you should request him specifically as I doubt there is another tour guide that could provide as much context to the sites as he can.

Our tour guide was very good but tour was not fluid. He took a cable car up and he came and got it back, but for no reason. The graffiti tour and exclamation it was very limited. He spent more time in the car going to other places then we did actually seeing things. I think that Tour needs to be re-designed a little bit to be effective, especially in Lou of the cost.

We took this tour our first day in Medellin and it was a perfect intro to the city with the must see La Comuna 13. This was our first day with Josh (after Camilo organized airport pickup for us the prior night) and it would be the first of 3 straight days with Josh who was the best. It was awesome to see many of the important Pablo Escobar-connected spots in Medellin to give us more context on his legacy in the city but also a great introduction to the city in general. After the tour, Josh dropped us off at Mondongo's for lunch which is a bit touristey, but still amazing food! 100% recommend doing this tour with Camantours first on your visit to Medellin!

If this is your first visit to Medellin, this is a MUST-DO tour! It's impossible to appreciate the city's history without understanding the full story behind Pablo Escobar! He's a very controversial figure in Medellin, and the tour does a fantastic job of talking about the good he did for areas of the city in his early days but also recognizing the terror and pain he showered upon Medellin and its people. Was truly fascinating for our entire family (I was the only one who had seen Narcos)! After several city tours in our trip around South America, the family agreed this was one of the best and most interesting. And Comuna 13, while a bit crazy with so many people, definitely gives you a sense of Medellin culture. The graffiti art is incredible! Finally our guide, Juan, was just lovely! His English was great, and he was so knowledgeable. He was a big part of what made this tour so great. Definitely ask for him if you can!

The tour provided by Caman tours was absolutely amazing. Our guide Camelio shared all the details and took us to every nook and corner of communa 13 shared the transformation history and relevance of each mural. I would highly recommend this tour and of course with Camelio. Escobar related areas stops and relevant history was shared . The best part was he took us to shop to have frozen/popsicle made up of fresh fruits.

This was one of the best tours I've done. Camilo will take you to a lot of the city and all the Pablo Escobar hotspots, and you'll learn from somebody who lived in Medellin during the cartel times. Comuna 13 was also great to see and learn the history. The transport is also comfortable.

The entire tour was amazing! Camilo was very informative, he gave us the run down from the start of Pablo’s life and surpassed his death. We have a better understanding of the culture now. The wall art around Comuna 13 tells a fantastic story and we took some amazing pictures. My advice to others is to definitely wear comfortable shoes because there’s a lot of walking, it’s hilly and there’s a few steps to climb so brace yourself, but it’s soooo worth it in the end. I would recommend this trip to any and everyone and I recommend Camilo as your tour guide.

Amazing time with Camilo!!! The wealth of information shared was excellent, the details he shared make you feel like you are experiencing the events. He was very accommodating, making sure we had bano/bio breaks and tastings of some traditional foods of Colombia. I highly recommend Camilo, five star treatment from start to finish.
