The pickup and drop off is on public transport far from the city. The tour has no time management and structure. They first take you to some bar where they take quite some time of the tour offering their products for sale. There is not enough personal and you have to wait for service as personell do various things (selling, explaining coffie types, massaging etc) There is no guidance for the spa and no clear structure nor time keeping they just tell you to change ang hang out. After massage there was no water to rinse off the scrub as they use it to rinse coffee at the same time we had to wait. Also you need to wait on the use of bath. The part of the coffee tour about the coffee process was rushed because of the time. Either they take to much bookings in same time frame or they lack personell . we were suppose to finish around 5 pm but we're dropped of around 8 at a busstop in a village unknown to us 4 ladies. In the original tour you would be dropped of at the cable station. The personell was hard working and tried to attend us and other guest in the limited timeframe. We did make it home safely. The concept is nice but it needs far better organisation.

Where do I begin. For starters this tour listing does NOT accurately reflect the entire DURATION of this activity. It states 3 hours total starting at 10am. I was contacted the day before and was told I was to meet my guide at 9am. We did not make it back to the end point until 4:30pm. The listing says it is about three hours in duration which is how much time I set aside for my day, but BE ADVISED the listing does NOT include travel time. This tour lasted approximately 7 HOURS TOTAL. They offer food there (tamales) that you can pay for so either eat breakfast or expect to buy this or be hungry. The posting does not say you need to bring extra cash as you will be buying your tickets for the Metro BOTH there and back and the cable cars to Arvi Park. So bring Cash. Spa: Mineral Bath never offered. The posting also does not say you should bring a swimsuit. BRING A swimsuit because they will charge you for the disposable ones and believe me when I say they don't cover much at all. Massage was okay and that's being generous, I don't like the fact that I felt exposed in this disposable bikini and people could walk by the steam room and see me lying on the table getting a massage possibly. Also, when the massage was over I was expecting to get in the mineral bath, but they didn't make it an option (the couple in my group got to do it). I don't understand why this happened. Be advised that if you get this with the massage oil your skin will smells like this for 1-2 days minimum. Coffee Tour: I got to see how coffee was made and plant my own coffee tree which was pretty cool. This WILL be a muddy activity if it rained the day before. I suggest bringing a pair of shoes you would be okay with throwing away possibly or some boots. I also suggest wearing something you don't mind getting dirty (Like workout clothes//leggings/shorts) and will not need for the rest of you trip unless you have access to a washer etc. When the tour was over we had no guide back via Metro as our guide stayed behind. How is this acceptable? Myself and the other couple on this tour were under the impression that we would have a guide all back to the starting point because that’s what it states on the booking; Starts/Ends at the meeting point. Luckily the woman of the couple I was with spoke Spanish and was able to help guide us back via Metro. If I was by myself I would have been panicking having to ride the cable cars & metro back by myself and not sure which stop to get off on. This is also not okay and disappointing. I will say that the guide himself was very friendly, nice, and this review is not a reflection upon him, but the provider of this tour & creator of this activity listing. It needs to be updated to accurately reflect the details I cannot in good conscious recommend this tour to anyone, unless you're willing to waste your time and money. The duration not being as described inconvenienced the entire rest my day in Medellin and my plans therefore after. I would have not booked had I known this and am therefore highly disappointed.
This was the highlight of my trip to Medellín. This was a great way to learn about the production of coffee and was relaxing, as well. A sauna, spring, and massage was included for the spa portion. After we planted our own coffee tree and made our own coffee.
After a coffee tour, the guides often sell bags of coffee in attractive packaging. However, to my surprise, the coffee inside can be of the lowest quality—beans that should have been discarded instead of sold for profit. Naturally, nobody opens the bags on site to check the contents. Only when people are home, far away, do they discover the truth, by which point it’s too late to return it. The worst part is that most people purchase these bags as gifts for friends and family, unknowingly giving away something that is essentially garbage. The beans are very small and it comes with lots of chaff. My coffee machine started making a strange noise when grinding that coffee. I had to remove the coffee before it got damage. Beware!
While the actual tour activities were enjoyable (coffee-making demonstration, massage, and coffee body scrub), the poor organization and customer service significantly detracted from the experience. Communication Issues: - Despite messaging the company multiple times for confirmation, I only received essential details less than 12 hours before the tour - We were suddenly told we needed bathing suits (which we hadn't brought) or would have to purchase them on-site - Transportation costs were quoted at one price, then doubled the morning of the tour - Meeting instructions were vague, leading to confusion at the metro station Day-of Problems: - Our guide was visibly annoyed when we went to the "wrong entrance" (no specific meeting spot had been provided) - Constant upselling throughout the experience - Payment confusion: we were told swimsuits were complimentary, then asked to pay the driver cash 10 minutes after leaving (we only had cash for tickets and expected to pay by card) - Had to resolve payment issues via Zelle after the fact The tour itself had potential, but better organization, clearer upfront communication, and professional customer service would have made this a much more enjoyable experience. The last-minute changes and payment confusion left us feeling frustrated rather than relaxed.
I hate to leave a negative review, but unfortunately, this tour was not worth the price and overall fell short of expectations. We did four different tours during our time in Colombia that we absolutely loved—this one, however, was the most expensive and the most disappointing. There’s definitely room for improvement. We were originally told to meet at 10 a.m. at the top of Parque Arví, and we confirmed this with the tour company the night before. However, a separate guide began messaging us from a different WhatsApp number about a new meeting location—something we didn’t catch in time. As a result, we spent money to Uber to the original meeting point and waited over an hour there due to the confusion. We were told several times to eat beforehand because we’d be drinking a lot of coffee. In reality, we only had two tiny cups and no real tasting experience. The itinerary wasn’t clearly communicated, and we were left unsure of what to expect. The one highlight was the couples massage—it was excellent—but it ended with a cold shower in rainy weather, which wasn’t ideal. Once on-site, we were also met with several upsells. We paid extra for tamales and beer (which really should have been included), along with a few take-home items like wine and coffee that we were happy to purchase. While we made the best of it and laughed at the situation, I wouldn’t recommend this experience—there are definitely better ways to spend six+ hours in Medellín.
Really lovely coffee farm in the mountains behind Park Arvi. Guest was very generous with his time and picked up/dropped off guests on the metro. Don Leandro coffee farms has a great view over the valley with lush landscape. I didn't know a massage would be included which was a nice treat. The lunch (for an extra fee) was totally worth it.
Wonderful experience. We were a group of four and came to celebrate me and my aunt's birthday. They had a special gift planned for us. The tour was interesting and fun. The spa experience was no frills but relaxing nonetheless.
Finca Cafetera Don Leandro was a breath of fresh air in more ways than one. The weather played a big part in the amazing views (sunny day and a cool breeze) The service was top notch. It was such a treat to meet Don Leandro, who picked us up and had us follow him in our car (thanks for the customized experience). Angelo, Maria, and Saidy did an amazing job taking us through the tour. Those girls hands need to be insured. The massage and coffee scrub were quite the experience! Thank you so much!
It was a unique and very relaxing experience. One of the best excursions I took in Medellin. The place is beautiful and the people are friendly and very helpful.
I will say this was the best tour that we booked here! From the start our guide Mr. Angello was very knowledgeable and helpful guiding us to the location. He was one of the best guides we encountered in Medellin! We started with the spa experience in the steam room followed by cold plunge in the natural pool and finished it off with a relaxing oil massage with coffee scrub! That was the highlight of the tour and my partner and I are so glad we booked this compared to the other coffee tours as they didn’t have it. It was just my partner and I and was a very intimate experience. The view far above the city was breathtaking and we were able to enjoy coffee and have lunch. We learned about the coffee growing experience and were able to plant our own tree we can visit in a few years! Highly recommend this tour as it is such a relaxing and unique experience. Everything was personalized and even included our names!
This tour is amazing, could not recommend it more! Angelo and everyone were fantastic, super helpful in getting us to the farm and then explaining everything we needed to know about coffee!! It felt like a very personal experience and I cannot wait to come back and do it again!
Angelo was a fantastic host. He met us at the train station for extra help getting to where we needed to go and he was very easy to talk with. The coffee farm was amazing! The views were incredible, the coffee was so good and we learned a lot! The massage and coffee scrub and ice bath all were fantastic, I would highly recommend this tour for anyone in the area and I will definitely be back!
I wish I could give this excursion more than 5 stars! It was an incredible experience and the staff, especially Angelo, made it even better. To get a full coffee tour plus a relaxing spa day all in one is amazing. The views were incredible and the coffee was great. We walked out feeling so relaxed, refreshed and educated. On the tour, we learned so much about the coffee process and even got to plant our own coffee trees. We would have been happy with just that, but the spa experience was even better. We had incredible massages, enjoyed a coffee Temezcal and a cold plunge. This is a must do experience if you’re in Medellin and I don’t recommend things lightly. I’ll be telling everyone I know to come! Thanks again!
The best coffee tour I had ever been on! The massage & coffee scrub was incredible. This is the ONLY tour that also has a sauna and swimming pool. Our guide Angelo then took us through the coffee-making process - we even planted our own coffee plants and made our own arabica. Highly recommended.
What a great experience! You can’t beat the views. The massages were amazing and we all left feeling very relaxed. Our tour guide was fantastic. He was very informative. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Medellin.
Here's a revised version: "The experience is amazing. I highly recommend it. The staff working there are the best—outstanding in every way!"
Went here today for the farm tour which included coffee tasting, spa services and a tour of the farm. I can not overstate the value of this package! We spent about $125 USD and we got pickup and drop off from the Parque Arvi cable cars, coffee tasting, sauna, THE BEST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE (Maria was AMAZING 🤎), coffee scrubs, more coffee, then we got to walk the farm and plant our own little seedlings and baby trees with name tags to come back and visit them later. At the end you get a little coffee growers diploma and the staff take some amazing photos to send you. Beautiful mountain views, such friendly welcoming staff, spoke with the owner on WhatsApp and he was so helpful and accommodating when we got delayed traveling out. I have zero complaints. I would say if you have back problems be mindful. it's about 20mins of rough dirt road to the farm and some of the pathways are quite steep. I'd also recommend nonslip water shoes, those slippers were apparently very slippery. In the end I would still recommend this experience 100%.
The coffee tour and spa was collectively our favorite experience in Medellín and a must do if visiting! The horseback riding, spa and tasting provided something for everyone to enjoy. The whole team was extremely friendly. Horseback riding to the farm was great and a fun time for all of us. The coffee farm has beautiful views. The spa was truly relaxing, and the tour of the farm and tasting was great as well. I would recommend this experience over any other when in Medellín. Thank you to Angelo and the team for providing an amazing experience and being so accommodating!
We really enjoyed the experience, especially the spa treatment. It was relaxing and unique. A complete experience with beautiful views. We also loved chatting with Jorge, very nice and impressive gentleman. I recommend this trip to anyone visiting Medellin.
What an awesome day. From the moment the booking was confirmed we received regular and clear instructions. The service was superb as our guide for the day, Mr. Angelo, offered to meet us in the city at no additional costs. We did the horse ride to the farm which was absolutely the right decision. Going on horseback through unspoiled nature was pure bliss. I have very little riding experience and my partner had none. Still, a beautiful ride with another stunning guide. The coffee was superb and I enjoyed learning about coffee growth and processing in Colombia. The massage and coffee scrub was amazing, and the perfect time to enjoy the sauna. The natural pool that has been updated is very refreshing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It is helpful to know at least the most basic Spanish like "may I have a coffee beer please" I do not drink beer, but I enjoyed this one. The coffee products for sale are good quality - we are currently enjoying our coffee, our coffee soap and coffee shampoo. Honestly a wonderful experience if you want to do something different and not too hectic. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ all around!
The experience was unique, relaxing, informative. I have not been on a tour like this. Very attentive staff. Great scenery and metro cable and trip to the stop. I love coffee, and this tour is all things coffee. Horse ride was fun, too. So far, the highlight of my visit to Medellin!
I highly recommend this experience. As a solo traveler, I was initially hesitant about leaving the city on my own, but I felt safe and comfortable with Don Leandro’s staff the entire time. Angelo and Jorge were especially warm and welcoming. Angelo even met me at the metro station near my hotel and guided me the entire way to the farm (so I knew exactly how to return on my own). The view was incredible, the coffee tour was engaging, and the full body massage & coffee scrub by Saidy was excellent. The experience was full of creative personal touches that made it unforgettable. It was a great break from the city. My only complaint is that the natural pool had many leaves, bugs, etc. that could have easily been scooped out, and some of the staff was not very welcoming.
What an accommodating experience. The whole team was so nice to us and the service was superb. They even made us dinner, which wasn’t part of the package. A-1 10 stars. Would recommend ten times over.
We really enjoyed the horseback trail to the coffee farm and the massage was incredible. Our guide Angelo was great and explained the process of growing the coffee beans. There are great views of the city
Don Leandro's was such a beautiful experience! We were blown away by the attention from the sweet, warm staff. Angelo was very knowledgeable and Maria accompanied us throughout our spa experience and planting of our coffee trees. If you're looking to have a one-of-a kind coffee farm experience - this is the one!! I plan to return with my husband within the next year.
This was our most favorite experience for the whole Medellin experience. We were given clear follow up and direction one (1) day before the tour and guided to the Finca door to door (via subway, cable car & chiva) on the day. The cable car ride was a wonderful, misty experience to the top ofthe mountain. We were greeted by the wonderful driver and grounds custodian Jorge after exiting the cable car and enjoyed the bumpy ride in his tiny "chiva"maybe "chivita". The views of the wonderful landscape to the finca were breath taking and Jorge allowed us a few minutes along the way the take photos. I was prepared for a spa experience and tour but it was made extra special to be able to dig in the soil and plant a coffee tree. Angello was a perfect gentleman and moved us through the tour w/o a sense of haste. The steam and dip into the medicinal pool was divine but the cherry on top would be the massage and coffee scrub by the hardworking Maria, Claudia and Saidy. The woman truly do the hard work! Thank you to everyone at Don Leandro. See you in 2 years when I come to collect the profits of my coffee tree.
One of the best days we’ve had in Colombia, this is a must if you’re travelling to Medellin!! Very well organised and great attention to detail from the transfer, to the steam room and coffee tour, including planting your own coffee tree with your name tag so you can come back and see it grow. We had a lot of coffee to taste also! The grounds are stunning, with an amazing viewpoint, gorgeous dogs and based in an incredible location. The only negative was during the massage (4 of us friends in one room) the masseuses were talking in Spanish and laughing a bit (not a clue what they were talking about but made us feel a little uneasy).
I highly recommend this tour!! If you are able to make time, this is a can’t miss experience. It was great to learn about the coffee experience and then relax with all of the amazing coffee products available. Angelo and the staff are very professional and attentive. A wonderful experience that we will never forget!!
Amazing!! took a horse ride to don leandro’s coffee farm, showed me the process of how to make coffee, got to plant a coffee plant and the gave me a tag with my name on it to put on the plant! Got the most amazing massage from Maria!!! shout out to julio, angelo, and maria for making me feel so welcomed and sharing their culture. highly recommend.
Awesome experience. Horses , coffee spa , coffee tasting and learning, all in one. This was in a super picturesque setting in the mountains too
This is a must do experience if you are visiting Medellin. 10/10 would recommend again and again. Had an amazing experience at the Don Leondro Coffee Farm in Arví Park, Medellin. Got a massage with coffee oil and coffee scrub with a light breeze amazing mountain views and tranquil music. Learned about the coffee making process and planted my own coffee tree that will produce its own coffee in 2 years.
The most amazing part of my trip! Enjoyed every minute of the trip. The coffee was delicious, the massage and spa portion was spectacular. I recommend this to anyone looking for a unique experience.
10 out of 10, It was amazing! The staff was friendly and showed us a good time, beautiful views and messages were great. Would recommend to family and friends.
This tour has room for improvement, first of all we were supposed to be picked at 9:00 am but ended up meeting with our guide around 11 am. Second, when all the groups arrived there was a bit of confusion between the guides to see who was going with each guide, lack of communication. Third and most disappointing part was the couples massage, both of our therapist kept on talking between them, the background music didn’t help at all.
The experiences was amazing, the best coffee tour close to the city and what was really amazing is the people working there. Definately recomended
what an amazing experience!!!! i spent my birthday here and i'm so glad i did!!! i got to use the sauna, swim in the natural pool, got an amazing massage with coffee scrub, and toured the farm and planted my own baby coffee tree. i loved it!!! highly recommend this experience for anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway for the day from the business of medellin
Best day experience I have had after being to 10 plus countries. The staff was very kind and helpful as well as incredibly knowledgeable, you get what you paid for and more with this experience!
What an incredible spot - the view, the glamping, the natural pool, the sauna and of course the coffee! Could not fault our experience here. Thank you for having us, and our dog! :)
It was a very nice experience.. the staff was very friendly and caring for your needs ..the massage was the best part.. They should include lunch in their price (a little too pricey,.) lunch is not included, offered or sold .. the only food is tamales for $35,000 pesos ( not the greatest) Overall, I do recommend this experience ..
Not only is the Don Leandro coffee farm tour interesting and educational, you leave feeling pampered, relaxed and satisfied. The guide is knowledgeable, and the attendants at the farm have exceptional attention to detail. The coffee is delicious, the steam and mineral pool are divine, and the massage is fantastic!
I liked the service, it was a nice experience. We learned a lot about the culture of the city and the entire process of a cup of coffee.
If you do nothing else in Colombia you MUST visit Don Leandro Farm, from booking to transportation the process was seamless and because the Metro Cable is down, Do. Angelo met us at our Metro station to be our guide up the mountain using all forms of public transportation. The people at Don Leandro are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. The Spa experience was superb! The massage was relaxing and serene, the body scrub was energizing and the sauna and cold plunge were everything I did t know I needed.
This was a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Colombia! It was very informative and relaxing. Special thanks to Angelo! He was an amazing tour guide!!
It was a great experience getting to visit this farm and spa! I got to see the farming and harvesting process, and even plant my own coffee tree with my name on it! You then get to drink some coffee with an incredible view. Afterwards was the spa, which was a relaxing time in a sauna, a quick trip into a pool, and a massage featuring a coffee scrub. Overall, a fantastic time! The only thing I will say is that if you’re a larger sized person, it might be a good idea to bring your own swimsuit. The one they provided unfortunately did rip for me when stepping in the sauna! Lol
This was an awesome experience; From the moment we arrived at Arvi Park, the view was amazing. We were picked by Arly in the minichiva, introducing us with the areas' history. At the Finca Don Leandro, there was Don Angelo waiting for us to begin with the coffee tour. Such an incredible experience every moment of it.. And the finishing touch was the Spa experience with the ladies. This was super relaxing. We enjoyed their hospitality and friendly service. We definitely recommend this Tour when you are in Medellin. You will participate and enjoy every second of it..!!
I loved my experience everything was smooth with communication to the place and back…. And oh the massage was amazing…loved it! Don’t think twice just book it!
The experience was excellent. The tour was very educational in regard to Colombian cofee. The experience was immersive and fun. I highly recommend
This was by far the best experience during my 1-month stay in Medellín. From the winding road up to Parque Arví to the lush, sweeping views from the farm and, of course, the steam room and coffee bean exfoliation and massage -- what's not to love? But what was more enamoring was how our guide grounded marketing buzz words of "single origin" and "fair trade" in culture, tradition, and craftsmanship (and beans :)). Being a food liberalist, foodie, scientist and solo traveler - this was a tour that met all my needs. We walked through and participated in the entire process from bean to cup - it felt rewarding in a way to plant your own baby coffee plant and leave your name tag alongside it. There was plenty of down time to socialize or have quiet moments to sit and enjoy a fresh cup and take in the views overlooking the entire valley. I'll never forget how inspired I felt after visiting this beautiful farm and the kind folks I met along the way, Special thanks to our guide, Leandro for sharing your knowledge, kindness, and a piece of your home with us.
The best tour I had all week in Medellin I learned so much from harvesting to making coffee and the coffee scrub and sauna where so relaxing
