Medellín City Tour

From the moment we met Carlos at our hotel pickup, we knew this was going to be a great tour! — and we were definitely not disappointed! Carlos is extremely personable, engaging, and very fluent in English. Throughout th e tour, he took the time to explain the history, culture, and various aspects of each place we visited, which made the experience both interesting and enjoyable. Carlos was professional and knowledgeable as a tour guide, but what really made the day special was how quickly he made us feel comfortable. At times, it honestly felt less like we were touring with a guide and more like we were exploring Medellín with a new friend. That connection made the experience so much more memorable. I made a slight mistake when booking and only realized during the tour that Comuna 13 wasn't included. After a brief discussion with Carlos, he was incredibly accommodating and worked with us to add it to our itinerary. In the end, we got the best of both worlds and were able to experience the different comunas as well as the other highlights of the tour. A fantastic tour made even better by an excellent guide. Carlos truly helped make our Medellín experience one to remember. Highly recommend Carlos and City Vibes!

This was a great experience. We were able to immerse ourself in the culture and heart of Medellín (Communa 13), while taking in extraordinary views of the city itself. I truly recommend this tour. Andres, the tour guide was amazing - patient and knowledgeable.

Great tour with Carlos who was knowledgeable and very engaging. He suggested a couple of last minute changes to the tour to accommodate our preferences and these worked very well. Carlos is a great ambassador for Medellin and seemed to know everyone wherever we went. Highly recommended.

We were very dissatisfied on our tour guide. He was not very friendly. We felt rushed through the whole tour and didn’t enjoy it.

Tour was interesting but very rushed. The tour guide was not very sociable, and seemed upset to be working on the weekend. I would never book a tour with Carlos. 🙄

The tour provides a great vibe of the city - we started with downtown and Botero square, took the tram and the cable car to experience the unique transportation system in the city. I would recommend this tour.

Our guide Juan was very informative and gave us a wealth of information about Colombia in general. He was very engaging and told us some interesting personal stories as well . He has a passion for his country and this comes across when he explains the history of Medellin and the present day Medellin. Very good tour and would highly recommend.

Andrés was excellent guide but we chose to do this tour towards the end of our trip. This trip would have been better at the beginning of the trip as the tour was a great way to become oriented to Medellin and what to do.

I really appreciate the opportunity to get to see a part of Medellín I would not have experienced on my own. Andres did a great job taking the time to show me the city.

Jean Carlos was such an amazing tour guide, the best of all! Punctual, responsible and respectful . He taught us with detailed information about every location/tour we did with him! Without missing a single detail. We spent four days in Medellin and we were lucky Jean was our tour guide for all of tours . We went to: Comuna 13, Pablo Escobar & City Tour and Peñol of Guatapé . And each day I was more amazed than the before one with his service and restaurant recommendations! I felt that I was more than a friend than with a man that I was paying for. We really hope to visit again Medellin and be able to say hi to Jean!

I've visited Medellin and some of the places in the tour before, but the private tour experience was completely different...the guide was very knowledgeable and I felt like I got a better understanding and now have more appreciation for the places. They were very accommodating as I had to change the time due to a delay in an earlier activity. Plus, I had to be picked up and drop-off at different places. Neat experience...definitely recommend.

My husband and I went on a private tour with this company and I can't say enough about what an extraordinary experience we had with our tour guide Jean Ruiz. He was very patient, and kind, and gave us so much information about the history of Medellin as well as the various sites we visited. He gave us exceptional service during our tour and I would definitely recommend this company and tour guide if you plan to visit Medellin. While me and my husband were in Medellin we lost our passports and could not get back home. Our tour guide Jean had left us his card and told us to contact him if there was anything that we needed. When we realized we lost our passports I immediately contacted Jean and he was so instrumental in helping us through the process of finding out how to get a temporary passport as quickly as possible so that we could get home to the US. He even offered to accompany us to the police station so that we could file a report and speak to police officers on our behalf because we do not speak Spanish just to assist us. Jean truly went above and beyond to help us during such a crisis and scary time. The help he gave was truly a major step in getting us home the next day and I am truly grateful to him for all of the help he gave us during our time of need. Again, I would strongly recommend this company to meet your expectations for a truly great excursion.

I really liked the tour, we toured the whole center of Medellin and Carlos our guide told us very well the history of the city. He was very patient and we were able to take our time to take the pictures we wanted. Highly recommended!
