Unfortunately, the horseback riding tour experience was very disappointing. Most of the route was along a busy road instead of natural trails, as advertised. This ruined the connection with the natural scenery that we were hoping for. Additionally, during the excursion, one of my friends almost fell off when the front hooves of her horse gave out, resulting in her getting bruised. I would not recommend this tour to anyone seeking an authentic horseback riding experience.

Great time. Great service. Nice way to get in touch with nature after a nasty hangover. I would recommend for other couples. Que sea caballero!

We had an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING time with JOE POSADA as our tour guide!!! He made the trip SO much FUN, and translated seamlessly between English and Spanish. The drive to the Horse ranch was beautiful and Joe shared history of the area along the way. Once we arrived at the horse ranch we were greeted by the sweetest family and so many beautiful, MAJESTIC, well cared for horses. We set out on our tour along the countryside and through mountains and saw so many gorgeous birds, flowers, eucalyptus, bamboo and got to experience the fresh mountain air with such great company. The VIEWS at the mountain top were stunning and we grabbed a drink at the local spot on top of the mountain. Joe was the highlight of the tour. He made the experience so memorable. It is a time we will always cherish. We enjoyed it so much we booked another tour specifically with JOE to visit Guatape. Joe is incredible and the horse tour was such a beautiful way to experience the Colombian countryside. HIGHLY recommend and ask for JOE!!!! You will be SO happy you did!!

Absolutely incredible experience! What made it truly special was our guide Joe Posada. He picked us up and took us to the location and helped with translating since we only speak English. He’s a joy to be around and went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience, so much so that we ended up booking another (different) tour later in the week because the impression he made on us. The staff at the horse farm were also extremely friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. You could tell the horses were well cared for. The whole experience beginning to end was very thoughtful, intentional, and the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this experience or any others by Medellín City Services ESPECIALLY if you get the option and privilege to be shown around by Joe!!! He will make it a memorable experience you’ll never forget while sharing his wealth of knowledge about Colombia. Truly a gem

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had whilst travelling! Luis was my tour guide and he was so knowledgeable. He could tell you the history of anything related to Colombia. I learnt so much and my heart was full! The horses were also very well loved and cared for. I’m so grateful to have had this fabulous opportunity. I highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Medellin!! I got to meet some other locals along the way, Mateo and Juan Manuel who I will also never forget. Muchas gracias mi amors!!! Had amazing time. Our guide did a great job at making me feel comfortable on my horse. Even on narrowing roads when cars and motorcycles needed to pass by. . Highly recommend

I just got back from this amazing trip. It was my first time riding a horse, so they gave me a very nice and relaxed horse. Even though you could easily steer the horse and make it go faster or slower whenevener you wanted it, it was not really needed. The horse is so sweet and well behaved that it basically does everything by itself. The taxi driver Fabian spoke perfect English, and even though there was a lot of traffic and the ride over took 1,5 hours (and the way back 1 hour) I was never bored and the time flew by! Thanks again, Fabian!

Albert was extremely friendly and kind. It was like being with family. The stable was nice and we had our own guide. It rained but the guide had rain gear for us.

Good valley views but riding without an English guide was not pleasant. I hope the tour operator caters to guides to English speaking customers as well

We had planned a Zipline experience but after the transport there we unfortunately could not do it because of the bad weather behind the mountain. But it is good to know they take our safety seriously. Luís was our guide, a super nice one and spoke good English. He proposed to go horse riding when we couldn’t go for our original plan so we would not “waste” our day. That was a nice idea of him and we enjoyed the day!

This was a New Year's Day reservation made well in advance. So I was surprised when I got an early morning email canceling my excursion due to no horse ranches open because of no one wanting to work New Year's Day. Understandable, - but why take my booking? I called and demanded an immediate refund but Jose asked me to give him an hour to find someone. Ten minutes later I was reconfirmed. The trip to the horse ranch took 45 minutes and the driver stopped by the ATM and I bought some beers. We got to the ranch and saw that it was indeed closed but they opened just for us. It was a nice 1 and a half hour tour on docile horses -good for beginners and kids alike. Many of the private trails were closed for the holiday but the public trails are interesting and the views of the mountains beautiful- I was not disappointed. There is a small lake for children to fish and a restaurant. We tipped everyone for the extra effort- to open for just 2 people.

Great experience horse back riding. Would highly recommend. The horses are beautiful and easy to direct. Also if you enjoy riding fast, this would be a great place to go to.

Luis was a great guide. The experience was tranquil and relaxing. Views were great in the mountain. Requires some balance if you’ve never ridden a horse.

Horses were easy to lead. And the landscape was awesome. Our driver was fully bilingual, punctual and very good driver despite of the city traffic. We thought the driver was going to be the same as the horse guide, but the young boy who took us through the ride was okay too.

It was a great experience. I had a solo tour and everything was great. Juan was an excellent tour guide and spoke good English. We talked about various topics and life in Colombia. The horse tour was great! I have no experience with horses but it's easy to learn once they show you the basics. The scenery was epic in the mountains. Hands down just book the tour and you will have a great experience with Juan.

Great experience horse back riding for the first time in over a decade. Jennifer the tour guide picked up my niece and I from our house in Medellin and drove us to the location. She even went riding with us which was great. We had a good group, took lots of pics, and got the hang of riding horse after 10min. The ride was nice with beautiful views of the country and took around a couple of hours. Afterwards we stopped for a delicious lunch, tried new foods and beverages, and got dropped off at home. I had a blast with a English and Spanish guide. The horses were well trained and kept. The views were amazing I definitely recommend this trip.

I had my doubts about this, but I had a BLAST! My guide, Jenny, was fantastic - picked me up, drove me about 45 minutes out to the stable, sharing information about her life as a Colombian. (She also took tons of pictures throughout the day that she sent me immediately, which I appreciated.) We met up with a group of three other riders, and a stable guide took us out of the town and up the mountain to a place with a spectacular view - and brew! It was completely unrushed, relaxing and beautiful. On the way way back we stopped at a road-side stand for a sweet treat. Such a beautiful spot and a fun activity. If you're looking at this, and you're on the fence - JUST GO FOR IT! The pace was just right - some walking, some trotting.

Definitely one for the books. Sebastian picked us up from our Air BnB and was a super fun guy to spend the day with. He took to us some great food spots before we embarked on our horseback ride. The horseback ride was absolutely worth it, and we learned a ton about the horses and some of the local history. Carlos owns the horses and farm. He is a super interesting guy. His coffee farm has the best coffee juice, which was delightful after a long morning of riding. Sebastian definitely tied the day together for us and I would 10/10 recommend him and this horseback riding experience to any of my friends who decide to visit Medellin. We will be visiting again soon. Thanks for everything, Sebastian and Carlos! Awesome day 👍👍

This was an amazing experience from beginning to end, and one I highly recommend. Sebastian picked us up at our hotel and drove us directly to the farm where we were met by Carlos, a wonderful cowboy/poet who told us all about each horse's personality and how best to ride each one before we started. We then went on an unforgettable ride through the mountains. The scenery was phenomenal!!. The ride is catered to your comfort level. I galloped along with Carlos while my mom took her time, walking most of the way. It was clear that Carlos took very good care of his horses and was a true animal lover. We then found out that he wrote poetry, and we each got a book he had written and he signed them with a unique poem for each of us. The whole experience was amazing. If you are visiting Medellin, you should definitely book this tour!!

I had booked this event the day I landed in Medellin (September 17, 2018) and it was phenomenal. You get picked up from your hotel at the time you had requested and its about 30 min to the place where you start your horseback ride. I'm hating myself for this because I had forgotten my tour guides name *please forvige me*. But he was overall the best, like, THE BEST. He was very fun to be around and you can tell he's so passionate about what he does. Not only that, I was talking about empanadas because I was very hungry, and he even took me to a place and ordered them!! This guy goes out of his way to show you a goo time. BOOK THIS!

<p>Excellent time with this horseback tour. I do wish that the ride was on trails rather than the road. The driver/tour guide was excellent and very friendly. I really enjoyed my time with him, very knowledgeable about Medellin. I learned a lot from him. Highly recommend him.</p>
