We had an incredible day, saw so much of the city and tried loads of new things. Our guide David was amazing and made it our favourite day of the trip!

It was a terrible experience. I requested to add visiting Arvi Park to the tour. They agreed and almost doubled the price. As a single person it went from over 500,000 pesos for the original tour to over 1,000,000 pesos with the add on. To walk in the park which was a fair distance drive away I thought that might be worth it. But all the guide did was send me on up on a cable car ride (and on my own) over part of the park. I was told not to get off at the top of the ride (which you could do) but loop back down because that would otherwise cost a second ticket. So for the extra 500,000 pesos all I got was a cable car ride without stopping. That was 20 something thousand pesos. And I did not get into the park at all. If that was all that was to be offered they should have informed me of that and I would not have agreed to pay another 500,000 pesos. When I conveyed my concerns to the tour company three times they ignored me each time. I had to go to Viator and all I received was a 155,000 peso refund. The company never did communicate with me.

We did this tour upon landing at MDE. Pick-up was easy, and we enjoyed being able to move around in a small group with our guide, as it was just my husband and myself. We also appreciated being able to ask him questions about Medellín and having him share some of his experience growing up in the area. The one thing is we felt awful that he arrived to the airport early to beat traffic and ensure a timely pick-up, as it meant that while we had a nice time (and appreciated him trying to provide good service), it ate up his whole day. So, we tipped accordingly, because that was going above and beyond in our book.

This half a day tour allows you to upgrade to a full day tour at the end to include Pablo Escobar sites, but never changed the description of the tour which caused a confusion with the tour guide. He looked very uncomfortable when we had to tell him that Pablo Escobar’s burial site was part of the tour. He wanted to practically change our tour. To add credit to our tour guide, he did added two extra interesting sites to our tour, the monument to the victims of Escobar’s killings and the pueblito paisa.

We went on the horse back, zip lining and fourhweeler excursion which was amazing. So many beautiful views. Our tour guide David was amazing. One of the best tour guides I have ever had. David was such a good tour guide we decided to book a city tour with him the following day and have him show us around the city which was so cool. We went and saw the Grave of Pablo, the city Pablo had built, downtown Medellin to all the shops and square and the home Pablo was at when he died and the memorial for the victims of the war. Such great tours I highly recommend them both and if you can get David as a guide that will be a bonus for sure he was great.

Great overview of Medellin. Loved Botera statues in park and wandering thru nearby streets, shopping area including local market to Bolivar park. Enjoyed cable car ride up mountain and metro train. Guide, JP's english was strong and appreciated his split of time in US and Colombia.

My tour guide Alberto Gomez was awesome! He was so flexible and tailored the trip so I could see all the sites I was most interested in, including both the Escobar museum on the hilltop in Poblado run by Pablo’s brother Roberto (who signs merchandise you buy there) and the “Beyond Escobar” one in Conmuna 13 run by Pablo’s niece, Laura (which offers a more personal insight to the man and myth). We also saw the rooftop where he died, the cemetery where he is buried, and the solemn, moving memorial to the dead from that era of ultra violence that is now long gone in modern day, buzzing Medellin. Muchas Gracias Alberto!

Amazing tour, we did zip lining which was one of the most amazing activities and scenes in Colombia, second we did ATV’s which was also amazing and finished up with horseback riding. Definitely recommend !!

David was a fantastic tour guide. He knew the answers to all of our questions, easily adapted to our needs and struggles in the crowds of downtown. The tour was relaxed yet we learned a lot about the history of Comuna 13, the 20th de Julio neighborhood and the people who call it home. Would highly recommend David and this tour for those interested in Comuna 13 and a very exciting journey through downtown Medellín.

Was a private tour, felt like hanging out with some locals instead of being a tourist. David was very enthusiastic and knows a lot of locals, we skipped el cathedral and grave because not much to see there but we do visit his barrio, his previous private apartment building and house where he killed himself. Finished at Comuna 13 which was the highlight of the tour. Can recommended!

We had a great time with Luis. He customized a trip for us based on what we were interested in doing. We went downtown Medellín, took a cable car ride in Communa 13 and visited Pueblicito Paisa. Luis is very kind and knowledgeable about the city of Medellin and a plus for us was that he speaks English really well. He was the perfect tour guide. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with the tour. If ever in Medellín again, we will certainly contact Luis.

David is the best tour guide I’ve had on my entire stay in Medellin. Hilarious, and not only does he teach you about the culture and history of Colombia, he can help you perfect your Spanish as well. Estaban was my guide who had an itinerary along with tailoring the tour to my preferences. We started in city center then a ride on cable cars ending in Comuna 13. Estaban has extensive knowledge of Medellin and very much enjoyed my time with him.

David was an excellent tour guide and was able to modify parts of the Comuna 13 tour for my mother, who has limited mobility. David is proud of his home of Medellin and full of knowledge and enthusiasm. It was amazing what we were able to do in half a day’s time.

I signed up for this tour hoping to come out with a knowledge of the best places in Medellin to explore for the rest of my time here and that is exactly what I got. I did the tour with Luis and I have to say it was incredible. He was not only a great friend to chat with, but he was very knowledgeable about Medellin and the areas toured overall, and had personal experiences around the city to boot. I cannot say enough good things about Luis, and the tour itself is of course incredible.

The tour was great. The guides were very friendly and made you feel like they were your friends. They were very knowledgeable of the areas and culture of Columbia. It was amazing to see and experience down town Columbia. Not once did I unsafe or unwelcome.

I really enjoyed going off the beaten track and our guide was awesome. He is was so friendly we had a laugh and a great time on the tour. I should warn you to bring decent walking shoes you’ll need it It was so fascinating to see this city with a local guide.

My friend and I booked this tour because it was the first time she was visiting Medellin, and I wanted her to learn about the fascinating story of this fantastic city. The tour operator is a friendly kid, but he knows very little about the city. I visited Medellin three years ago, And I learned more about the town than he did (from my previous tour). When he arrived to pick us up, I told him that we were willing to take the tour by public transport and to walk. He took us by car, and wasted half the time of the tour on traffic. Coincidentally, we booked a tour to visit the flower farms in Santa Elena (booking # 1302840920), and he was our guide again! He picked us up half an hour late, and we needed to get to the flower farm by 10:30 am, so he drove like a maniac to get there “on time”which we weren’t. We were more than 30 minutes late and kept the farmer and three other people waiting. He used very poor judgment on both tours. At one point, I asked him how long he’d been a tour guide and he proudly said almost two months. I very much doubt that he is a licensed guide. I would expect when paying for a tour guide through Trip Advisor, that I would receive a qualified, knowledgeable person who makes the experience a good one. That was not what I got on either of the tours I booked.

We had an awesome day exploring Medillin. Davis was our head guide who was incredibly knowledgeable, super friendly and cool to be with! Each section of the tour was interesting and allowed us to see a huge portion of the city in just a couple of hours. We also had the double opportunity to have Sergio as a trainee on our tour and he was really friendly and offered interesting tips! My husband and I went on a private tour because we don’t care for large groups and we find we get a better experience/education with a private tour. Juan Carlos was our guide on this beautiful excursion. He was friendly and had vast knowledge of the area and it’s rich history. He even treated us to ice cream which was super sweet. Highlights were Communa 13, a cable car ride and walking through the center of Medellin at Botero Park.

I had a tour with Juan Carlos, and it was delightful. We had a graffiti tour of Comuna 13, the cable car metro system, downtown El Centro and more...
