Great tour. Joshua was an excellent guide. Best part is it’s private. You go at your own pace. Coffee tour was amazing. If you are a coffee aficionado this is a must.

Camilo was a great guide for the whole day. Coffee farm, el Peñón and Guatapé were great places to visit and experience. Well worth it and the time for the whole tour was 8.5 hours including lunch stop. This was much better than a group tour

We had an absolutely wonderful day exploring Guatapé and its surrounding countryside with Jhon, who was without question the best guide we had during our entire stay in Medellín. Our first stop was Altos del Chocho, where we had the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of animals. We were able to feed and pet llamas, goats, horses, ostriches, rabbits, piglets, and even dozens of beautiful koi swimming in the ponds. It was a fun and memorable experience for the whole family. We then visited La Rivera Coffee Farm, where Miller and his wife, Nubia, welcomed us warmly and shared their passion for coffee. This was far more than just a coffee tour—it was a hands-on experience. We planted coffee seedlings, picked ripe coffee cherries, learned how the beans are processed, depulped, sun-dried, and roasted, and then enjoyed a delicious cup of freshly brewed coffee. It was authentic, educational, and one of the highlights of our trip. We also visited the historic El Peñol, where we climbed to the top and were rewarded with breathtaking views of the Guatapé reservoir and its stunning landscape. Afterwards, we took time to stroll through the colorful streets of Guatapé, admiring its unique architecture, vibrant atmosphere, and famous decorative zócalos. What truly made this experience exceptional was Jhon. He was knowledgeable, professional, personable, and genuinely passionate about sharing his country with visitors. Most importantly, he never rushed us. Unlike many tours that feel like a race against the clock, Jhon allowed us to enjoy every stop at our own pace, giving us the time to fully appreciate each experience without feeling pressured by a schedule or itinerary. We had several guides during our time in Medellín, but none compared to Jhon. His attention to detail, relaxed approach, and genuine enthusiasm made this one of the most enjoyable days of our entire trip. If you are considering a tour to Guatapé, Altos del Chocho, and a traditional coffee farm, do yourself a favor and ask for Jhon. He turned an already great excursion into an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!!!

Camilo provide provided us an incredible experience, touring the town of guatape and coffee farms country side. Had food stops at a couple of local gems and got to learn about all things Columbia. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Medellín area.

Camilo gave us the best day and it was extremely reasonably priced for what we got. I learned so much about Colombia and Guatapé in particular, got to do and see so many different things all within the one day trip. Camilo was so knowledgeable and kind, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a day trip out of Medellin!!

Taking a tour to Guatapé was easily one of the highlights of my trip to Medellín. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, well-organized, and packed with incredible views. The main attraction, El Peñón de Guatapé, was absolutely breathtaking. Climbing to the top was definitely a workout, but 100% worth it—the panoramic views of the surrounding lakes and islands are something you have to see in person to truly appreciate. The town itself is beautiful and full of color, with its famous zócalos (decorative panels) giving every street so much character. We had time to walk around, take pictures, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. It felt like stepping into a postcard. Our guide Camilo was fantastic—friendly, informative, and made sure everyone was comfortable throughout the day. Transportation was easy, and everything ran on time, which made the whole trip stress-free. If you’re visiting Medellín, a day trip to Guatapé is a must. It’s the perfect mix of nature, culture, and unforgettable scenery.

If I could give this tour 10 stars I would. My tour guide JOSHUA was amazing! Bro knew perfect english, extremely knowledgeable, and was the friendliest most personable tour guide I have ever had and I travel A LOT. During this tour we went and learned all about coffee at this beautiful little farm with an amazing view of El peñón de Guatapé. After picking and learning everything about coffee, we then drove to El peñón de Guatapé. Again JOSHUA was extremely knowledgeable about not only El peñón but basically anything about colombia. Great guy , great tour, cant say enough good things about it!!!

We wanted to do everything outside the city in 1 day, so I looked for a tour that combined a coffee farm with El Penol and Guatape. This tour was perfect! Joshua, our guide, was amazing. He was very informative and laid back. I would definitely recommend this tour!

We had a wonderful experience!! The entire tour was amazing, but the coffee tour was the highlight. Visiting with a local organic farming family was amazing. We got to see behind the scenes in a way we weren't expecting, and the coffee tour was easily the best part of our trip. Guatape Rock is stunning. It's a joke, of course, but the views are worth it. Sebastián was great and let us move at our own pace. We never felt rushed, and he also took the time to answer every question we had. He helped us explore the city and understand the history the way that only a local can. If you're in Medellin, make time for this tour!!

Had a lovely trip to Guatape. Scaled the 700 steps of Peñol and walked the colorful streets of Guatape. Camilo was the best guide - I even got a chance to try the best Hojuelas in Colombia.

Another great trip with Joshua and Erika!!! They are the best. 2nd tour with them. Be prepared though. 700 stairs to the top of the mountain is no joke!

Amazing experience! Joshua and Erika picked us up promptly at 7:30 and our first stop was the coffee farm. We had a wonderful tour where we picked beans, saw the coffee farming process, and drank the most delicious cup of coffee. It was just the two of us, our guides, and the farm owner so it was super personal. We went to the Rock and had a lovely climb to the top. There were little vendors up there so we enjoyed the views while eating some fruit. After we went to Guatape and walked around the town. It’s super bright and colorful. We went to a delicious rooftop lunch. On the way back to Medellin, Joshua stopped at a yummy bread stand for a snack. I appreciated that we were the only people. Joshua’s driving skills, knowledge, and fun demeanor made our trip very fun and special! I also appreciated that everything but lunch is included in the tour. It made it super easy and relaxing. He also spoke excellent English so we were able to understand the tour the entire time! Highly recommend!

What a great day ! We were a group of 8 friends . We did the coffee tour first and had a blast . The family that owns the farm was very kind , knowledgeable and welcoming . Katherine took time to explain all the coffee preparation process from beginning to end and let us participate in all of them . From collecting the beans up to sealing the bags of freshly grind coffee. The city of Guatape was beautiful, clean and lively. Full of color , music , welcoming people and culture. Fantastic experience.

Another amazing day to guatape and to the coffee plantation with my favourite columbian man Camilo! There should be a 10 star rating for him ! It is such a pleasure having him as a guide ! We were also blessed with amazing weather! The climb of the rock and the few just absolutely spectacular! I had lot of fun making coffee! I love the country more every day ! Wow ! What can I stay ? This was the highlight of my trip to Medellin. We chose a private tour which started at our hotel at 8 am.Camilo picked us up at the designated time and our adventure began. We stopped at a place on the side of the road for coffee and cheese bread on our way to Guatape’ I could have stayed there and enjoyed several more servings but the big rock awaited. Climbing the big rock gave us phenomenal views of the beauty of Guatape’ but more awaited. After a brief break we made our way into to town to view some beautifully painted buildings, strolling through the streets admiring the homes and the beautiful shops. We stopped for lunch at a local restaurant and was treated to great food and entertainment. After some shopping we were off to the coffee tour which was both informational and a lot of fun. I do not have the words to explain how much I enjoyed spending my birthday exploring this incredible, magical place. I can’t wait to return. Thanks Camilo for making this a birthday I’ll never forget.

This tour was fantastic. Me and some friends did the ATV tour and the Guatapé tour. It was fun, fantastic, and out tour guide was excellent. The tour guide was super friendly and was great for our group as we were all English speakers. If you take a tour ask for Joshua as a guide. He was excellent.

GENIAL! VERY NICE! LOVED IT! We made a private tour of the coffee farm(Camilo speaks great english), the people from the farm were so welcome and kind. Camilo was always so great at driving and guiding us. The farm was so nice and we all did coffee! we picked up the coffee from the plant to the cup! Venecia is a great trip out to the country, with a charming Plaza, nightlife in the country (great music and dancing without the competing discotecs, and just a great atmosphere for loving life. That’s what it’s all about. Inreally enjoyed seeing the mountains up close and enjoyed a stop at a restaurant where we had arepas with cheese, lime and chorizo, and a beer to top it off. In Venecia you can get a petite bottle of rum and enjoy the romantic and happy atmosphere shared with the locals. If you would to experience the genuine countryside life, this is the place to visit!

I booked a tour with Camilo for me & my parents & it was the highlight of our Colombia experience! Camilo took us to Guapte on a full day tour & let us plan our day as we went. We started the day with breakfast on the way to Guapte & Camillo introduced us to pandebono. Don’t leave Medellin without trying it! We also went on a boat tour and climbed the infamous rock of Guatpe. I was concerned the day would be a lot for my parents, but Camilo was so gracious about the schedule & made sure we all had a great time. If you’re thinking about booking this tour, do it! It’s worth every penny!

We had an excellent guide Camilo private tour on Tuesday 08/26/25. The lovely coffee farm a complex process to make coffee a lot of work you learn a lot. Very nice all the work. Camilo explained the history of Guatape and the Peñol we gave the village tour. We were able to climb the Peñol Stone without a hurry. The best option is private tour. 100%.
