Guatape, Fruit Tasting & Coffee Tour

Incredible day in Guatape + El Peñol + fruits + coffee. the coffee farm tour was truly amazing and i learned so much, especially at this one and i've been to a couple of other places before. I think Carlos is a great guide if you're looking for an efficient day. One thing I will say is that he drives FAST, which I see as a benefit but there were some times where I was like nauseous in the car cause it was so fast with lots of turns lol.

My husband and I had the pleasure to spend the day with Carlos. He shared his knowledge about history, region, and answered all our questions. We went to a beautiful family own plantation, hiked El Peñol, and got to stroll the Malecon in Guatapé. Great food suggestions and we never felt rushed. Such a wonderful morning and afternoon.

The whole trip was amazing! They picked my wife and I up from the airport and took us to Guatapé without any stress. Carlos, our tour guide was amazing and he was super nice. He speaks both Spanish and English fluently and he’s great at conversing in both languages. He was very cool and relaxed as well. We got to visit a genuine Columbian coffee farm and tour the whole process from planting to coffee cup. Going to Guatapé we were able to tour the new and old town as well as climb the rock. 750 steps and we felt it after about 300 of them and still feel it days later. Overall best tour experience ever, if you want a full informative tour with amazing tour guides, choose this company and choose Carlos as your guide!

The tour guide was very nice! He really knew the best places to go and was able to optimize our time. We saw a lot in just one day and had an amazing time.

Carlos is the go to person for everything in Medellin. He is incredibly knowledgeable with tours. He is very resourceful when it comes to finding things in Medellin. He is passionate about the city and overall, Carlos is a good, trustworthy man. You can expect this from someone who has lived in Medellin all their life. I wish I could find a guide like Carlos in every city I travel to. Thank you for an amazing bachelor party and for planning the week perfectly.

We had a wonderful day. Juan, our guide, took us to nice places while we listen delightfull latino music in his car. Our favorite activity was at the coffee farm. Such an interesting experience.

My boyfriend and I booked a full day tour of Guatape & a Coffee Farm with City Vibes Tours. Our tour guide was Juan, and he was great! He was waiting for us downstairs at our hotel the morning of our tour. It was a very scenic drive to El Penol and Guatape. Juan provided very knowledgeable information on the region and taught us some Spanish. Let's just say we all "Vibed" with City Vibes! We made a quick stop to a small town prior to getting to the replica town of Guatape. I wish I could have brought more of those yummy caramel shortbread cookies rolled in coconut home with me! There was lots of history at the replica town of Guatape. The initial view of the reservoir was heavenly. Climbing El Penol (the rock) was lots of fun. We arrived before it got busy with other tourists. So we really had time to enjoy the beautiful view at the top. Juan then took us to the town of Guatape. A music video was actually being filmed while we were there. After all of the morning sightseeing, we had a delicious local lunch with Juan at Mirador del Lago. For about $28 US total, my boyfriend had the Porterhouse Steak with sides and I had Fried Catfish with sides (and some refreshing flavored lemonades). We discovered a quint cinnamon roll bakery on the street with that has all of the hanging umbrellas. Plus, some ice cream with caramel. After we left Guatape, Juan drove us to a local coffee farm just a short distance from Guatape. To have the one on one experience with the coffee farmer was wonderful education. The farmer walked us through the entire coffee growth and harvesting process. After we picked coffee beans, we were all able to sit down with the farmer and have a proper coffee tasting session. We had to buy some of the coffee as it very good. (We should have brought 2 more bags!). Wow...what a great day we had. By the end of the day, Juan, my boyfriend and I all felt like family. Juan was also our tour guide for the Medellin City & Comuna 13 Tour the next day. If you have a chance to go to Medellin, look up City Vibes Tours....you can't go wrong!

Carlos our tour guide was excellent. We got picked up from our hotel at 7am and did a fruit tour, guatape tour, coffee farm tour and got lunch. Was a really relaxing day. Perfect for my group of friends.

It was an amazing tour with so much to see!! Carlos, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Guatapé is a beautiful town with an amazing rock to climb. Carlos took us all the way up the rock so we could take amazing pictures with the scenery. The coffee tour was also wonderful, the people on the farm were so friendly and I was able to taste (and bring home) some of the best coffee I’ve ever had!!! I would definitely recommend doing this tour. It was a blast!

The best experience I ever had was with City Vibes tour .. Carlos is an experienced , knowledgeable and pleasant tour guy .. . I was in Medellin from Dec 22 to 27 with my two adult sons and my daughter , we visited multiple places. I want to thank Carlos to make this visit for all of us so enjoyable! My favorite trip was to coffee farm and GUATAPE . it was a wonderful trip !

We went to Guatape with my daughters and it was meant to be a relaxed get away but it wasn’t nice, it was Amazing!! Ended up horse back ridding with both my daughters, renting a motor boat, fishing and seeing amazing views. We ended up exhausted and the coffee tour was a great pick me up for the rest of sceneries we had to see. Our tour guide was Steve and he was polite, knowledgeable and had great people skill. We will most definitely be back for more tours. Well deserved review!!!!

I highly recommend Jean as your host in Medellin. He has done an amazing job on everything with me and my group. We did several tours and trips, and Jean is as high quality as it gets. My favorite tours were Guatape and the coffee farm experience. Communa 13 graffiti art is a must see as well. Medellin and Guatape are great areas to explore, make sure you take the tours with the best in the business, and you’ll always have a great time. 👌🏼

Daniel was an incredible guide! Picked me up right from my hotel, was flexible staying out even later than expected, and brought me not only to the Rock, Guatepe, the coffee farm and the replica town, but also some awesome local stops. Everything was incredible and, Daniel gave me a complete overview of Colombian history and culture. We had great conversation and I highly recommend Daniel for any tour, whether in Medellín or outside the city.

A unique experience, from the meeting point, Diego was an excellent guide, very attentive. A comfortable trip with Caesar, very prudent to drive. The tour was wonderful, I recommend it to the thousand.

We had an excellent tour with my husband, we knew all the important sites of Guatapé, all its history and also we were in a coffee farm learning all the process it takes to enjoy a coffee rate. I recommend this tour 100%.
