I had such an exhilarating day with Fabian el Mago! When he first picked us up he was so friendly. I felt very comfortable with him. He was nice and informative. He also happens to free flow reggaeton extremely well! He was there at every moment to help with something, if needed. I didn't realize that I couldn't carry anything with me during the paragliding, and he was able to hold on to my things for me. He took several photos of me taking off. What an experience! I have never run to the edge of a cliff thousands of feet up in the air and jumped off before. What a great time! He also took us white water rafting at a secondary location. He waited in the car for hours while we were gone. He was fun to talk to and fun to listen to. Fabian also showed us some cool magic tricks. Very impressive! I would recommend Fabian El Mago as a guide to anyone who is interested in having an incredible experience in Medellín.

I had a great time. The scenery paddling down the river was simply beautiful and the rapids were gnarly! Fabian is a fantastic guide with enormous positivity, enthusiasm and energy!

Rafting and guide - 5 stars. He was excellent and the river was super fun! One of the better white rafting trips I have done! Driver and staff via WhatsApp- 3 stars. They changed our pickup time 8pm the night before. The driver was a bad driver lot of swerving and he didn’t pick us up from the take out point he was 45 minutes late left us cold and wet and didn’t give us any snacks so no food like described. Whoever mans the WhatsApp responded but never followed back up at all at the time of time writing this review.

Great experience from pick up to drop off. We had a lovely driver named Jorge who drove us about 2 hours from our hotel to the rafting spot. For the final few km, we hopped in a 4WD pick up truck to descend to the riverbed of the Calderas River. We had to walk a short way down a rocky road and then a narrow, muddy path through the tropical forest. Sandals with a heel strap are recommended. This was a serious and fun river run! It started off calmly and ramped up to multiple class V rapids! We didn’t see other rafts or humans for the entire 11km journey! We saw gold panning equipment along the river, but hardly any other signs of human life for 2 hours! Lots of beautiful flora and water birds along the way. The team, including another Jorge, Livardo, and the driver was professional. They gave us the requisite safety talk and instructions, helped us secure our belongings, and were very friendly. Midway, they treated us to a beautiful spread on giant banana leaves including pineapple, trail mix, bocadillos, corn cake, cacao, and mango juice. We all passed out on the ride back to Medellin. It was a day that will forever be planted in our wonderful memories of Colombia! Highly recommend.

White water rafting with Eco Tours was a truly great adventure with an awesome crew. The entire operation was first class from start to finish. The raft and all the other associated equipment were in tiptop shape. Our guide, and the two safety, observers were professional, clear, friendly, and inspired confidence. The route alternated periods of quiet drifting through lush jungle canopy with some exciting white water rapids. At the end of our journey, their driver was waiting with some light delicious snacks. I couldn’t have imagined a better adventure. A truly five-star experience. Can’t recommend it highly enough. These guys are great. Just do it.

Excellent rafting experience with Steven as captain, Nacho and Libardo as safety kayakers. The most amazing scenery, no other humans in sight and a series of progressively more difficult level 3-4 rapids. I fell out in one of the last more difficult ones but was quickly rescued. Safety was important to the team and their experience was evident. We will be back. Gracias amigos!

Freak’n creek’n and eco venture was so much fun! Eco venture made it so easy to book, provided Easy transport and their drivers/hosts spoke English well. Freak’n creek’n was this beautiful house on a mountain side with incredible views and food! We hung out and relaxed for as long as we wanted, and then prepared for the rafting guide! All the guides were great and our family of 9 people had an amazing time. The views were stunning, the rafting was exhilarating, and we got a good workout in. Would definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed the scenery down the river. Beautiful trees, birds and mountains. Came across a Colombian couple skinny dipping which was hilarious. 2 guides had great experience, making us feel safe and ensuring the day was great fun. Great laugh throughout. Got pics and videos of us going down the grade 3 and 4 rapid which was cool. Stop for picnic half way through was enjoyable also in cool landscape deep into the jungle. More grade 3 / 4 rapids would make it a 5

Quality service, Great river section Not cheap for the full package from Medellin but good driver in comfort car, a nice guide, and 2 security kayaks on the river + photos it worth it.

We went not knowing what to expect but we were provided with professional guides that safely took us through the level 4 rapids. It was alot of fun and a great experience for anyone that likes the outdoors and extreme sports. The drive from medellin was approximately an hr but so worth it because the drive was quite scenic. A MUST DO IF YOU VISIT MEDELLIN

Don't hesitate to book with Ecoventure. The trip was everything I hoped it would be and better than I expected. Julian, the company's founder, picked the three of us up in El Poblado on time and in a nice vehicle. We had a smooth ride out to the paragliding port and a wonderful time under canopy breezing over the treetops and by a lovely waterfall before we circled over the nearby village and soared alongside the birds. Our pilots were all great and we had a little 4x4 adventure to make it back up the very steep rural roads. We had a traditional lunch, though Julian gave us the option of eating American fare as well, with a wonderful view of the valley. Afterwards we moved onto the river rafting journey. We were greeted by the staff and loaded into a nice utility vehicle for the drive to the river. One of the guides was an experienced Kiwi who sat in back and chatted with me and my two Aussie friends on the way down. Once we arrived at the location, they quickly organized the gear, provided instruction and we set off down the river. The first half was a nice warm-up, with a few class III sections and a chance for my two friends, who had never done this, to get accustomed to the experience. After a few rapid sections we stopped for some local cookies, citric drink and pineapple. It was a great moment for a break and to take in the beauty of the jungle forest around us. Then we set off for the final phase of the adventure. The next section picked up the pace a bit with some fund class IV rapids that provided us with the thrills that make trips like this one so rememberable. Our guide, Jonathan, was great and he did a wonderful job of navigating us through the rapids. We had a nice journey back, drank a couple of beers with our guides and then set off for the journey home. Julian gave us an opportunity to stop for some dinner, since we chose to hang out longer at the rafting spot, and never once rushed us throughout the experience. He was a great companion and we all had a good time talking to him about the transformation that is ongoing in and around Medellin. I hope to book another adventure with Ecoventure in the future and you would be wise to use them as well. PS the rafting photos and videos, taken in the front of the raft, are fantastic and included in the price!!!

Paragliding was incredible. Tomás, our driver joined us for rafting and made the trip even more enjoyable. It was a fabulous day in the jungle. Highly recommend.

Went for a bachelor party. The guide was funny and kept us safe, but at the same time let us experience a wild ride. Will do it again in a heart beat.

My sister and I went to Medellin and after visiting all the local spots, we wanted to find an adventure. So I went to my trusted TripAdvisor and came across Ecoventure. We booked the all day tour with ATVs, paragliding and water rapids. Julian picked us up at 8:30am and stayed with us the entire day until driving us home at 9pm. It was an experience of a lifetime! First it was the ATV which was cool and scenic. Next we went paragliding which was a rush and the views were unreal. Then we stopped for lunch at this amazing restaurant on the cliff and were met by the water rafting team. It was our first time doing this and we were definitely scared, but the team made us feel super safe. With a combo of calm water and going down some small waterfalls, this 3 hour trip down the river is absolutely unforgettable. On top of it all, we got a google drive of all pics and videos in the water... hilarious!! Definitely recommend this all day tour. You won’t regret it. If you are ever near Medellin, contact Ecoventure and experience Colombia the way it’s meant to be... in nature! Thanks Julian for an unforgettable day!

Amazing trip! We got to explore the Calderas River, the river is absolutely beautiful. The whole day went smooth, we got picked up from our hotel in Medellin and brought to mirador el Cocorna.From there we waited about 10 minutes for the instructors to finish preparing all the equipment. From the Mirador we drove for about 30-45 minutes to the start of our rafting tour. Our instructors were very friendly, we felt welcomed and safe throughout the whole trip. The rafting tour is both calm and thrilling fun. We even got the chance to take a dip in the river. We had fun!! Would highly recommend for anyone seeking an outdoor adventure in Medellin.

Julian was great - he picked us up directly from our hotel in Medellìn and brought us to the rafting launch point for our trip, pointing out landmarks of the countryside along the way. The rafting trip itself was amazing - the river is a perfect mix of calm, tranquil legs mixed with fun and roaring rapids. We had only been rafting once or twice before, but our guide made sure we were safe and having fun the entire time. You can tell that they truly enjoy what they do, and that goes a long way when you’re looking to have a great experience. Highly recommended outing with Ecoventure in Colombia!

We absolutely loved this rafting tour and our experience with ecoventure. Julian was amazing from the beginning, helping me figure out what would work best for our schedule and preferences. They picked us up from our hotel and we had an amazing experience the entire way. The driving in the area is crazy, so I was very happy to have an experienced driver behind the wheel ensuring we arrived safely to our adventure. The rafting trip was a perfect combination of relaxation allowing us to enjoy the beautiful scenery and sounds of the jungle with adventure and adrenaline. The rapids were nothing to be laughed at, and there is definitely the chance to fall overboard or flip, but they are far from terrifying. Bring a pair of shoes that can get comfortably wet and also allow you to walk on rocks, sunscreen and a dry pair of clothes - you’re all set!

Great activity to get to know the rivers around Cartagena. The staff was very friendly, especially Fabian the person who took care of us. It kept us very entertained explaining the wonders of Colombia.

Very good service, very well prepared and certified guides in rescue. Tomas was the contact I looked for and returned us to Airbnb. He attended us with great enthusiasm and charisma. We will definitely repeat this adventure!
