We stayed at the Charlie hotel for a couples trip with my husband. Jessica from concierge was great an helped us book the city tour with Camilo. Very comfortable and safe transportation directly from the hotel to the Comuna and other interesting site while allowing you to take in the local public transportation and get a feel for the city. Camilo was very knowledgeable and insightful. We felt we learned a lot from the tour. Definitely recommend.

My husband, our 3 did a city tour of Medellín with Sebastian today, and he was exceptional. Sebastian was patient, polite, and professional from the moment we met him. Traveling with a toddler can be unpredictable, but he made everything feel easy. He set a relaxed pace, was mindful of breaks, and kept our little one engaged the whole time. What a wonderful way to explore Medellin with Camilo! We had a great day together with our teenage boys who enjoyed the day as well! If you want a really good insight in the city including the history of the city then this private tour is great for families. It is really nice to just be with the family and with Camilo who is a wonderful guide and knows everything we wanted to know.

We did the tour with Camilo, and he brought a lot of color and insight to the most fascinating parts of Medellín. Being born and raised here—and having lived through the Escobar era—added real depth to everything we experienced. Of course, we visited Comuna 13, but we also took the metro and cable car to truly immerse ourselves in the rhythm of daily city life. It was an amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone interested in history, remarkable places, and great anecdotes.

Our Medellín city tour was an absolute blast! Our guide, Joshua, was incredible, super knowledgeable, professional, and patient with us. We started our adventure in Comuna 13, then visited the Museo de Pablo Escobar, Downtown Medellin; Parque de Botero, Parque de las Luces, El Museo de Antioquia, and El Palacio de La Cultura. Joshua took us on a journey through time, sharing the rich history of Comuna 13 and how it’s transformed into the vibrant city we know today. I highly recommend taking a private tour with Joshua!

Today my husband and I did the city Tour. The weather was in our favor and we got to see some beautiful views, but we also had the opportunity to learn about different area of the city like the history of Comuna 13. Our tour guide Camilo was very knowledgeable was very kind respectful professional and took his time with us. He was patient with us when we wanted to take photos, he actually took some great ones for us. It was really nice! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting for the first time. It is worth it. Nothing beats a private tour! Thank you Camilo for your time and company!

Sebastian was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a guided tour of downtown Medellin and explained the history of the area. We visited many old buildings and parks. We then went out to the Comuna 13 area and explored this area and the history of all the troubles. He’s extremely kind and wonderful guide you will appreciate his kind manner and knowledge.

Had a 4 hour trip with Camilo, who was a real local and so knowledgeable - he really made us feel comfortable throughout. This was the first time we took the option of a private guided tour and it was so worth it as we had such a personal experience and could adapt as we went. The tour includd Comuna 13, which I belive is not usual for most operators and that was a very eye-opening and at times disturbing experience, but it is so good to see a community rise up from such hardship and make the most of what they have. I really encourage you to go there and help out with everything they are doing now. It felt 100% safe and there are some fantastic boutiques and street vendors selling all sorts of funky items. A must visit. Highly recomend this tour if you are in Medellin, ask for Camilo if you can get him.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Medellin. Our guide William was very knowledgable and knew exactly how to navigate the craziness of Communa 13 and the surrounding areas. The experience was amazing and I recommend it to anyone who is visiting. William answered all our questions, was very methodical in how the tour was logistically laid out and went above and beyond with the little things to make sure our expectations were exceeded -- insisting we sample specific local exotic fruits, showing us a secret platform for unobstructed views of the Communa, detailed explanations about Botero and his life, the history of Medellin and its evolution into the bustling metropolis it is today...

5 Stars is not enough for our amazing guide Camilo! He was so professional, attentive, thorough… whenever we needed a refreshment, he would stop and get it for us. He took us to his favorite ice cream place. My mom needed help going up the steep hills. He assisted her…we rode the metro cable. Overall, a really great experience.!

This tour is great option to experience some of the culture - but be prepared to walk a lot and uphill. So dress comfy and make sure you wear sneakers! Because he was born and raised here – and experienced the Escobar period himself – that gave extra value to everything we experienced. Of course we visited Comuna 13, but we also travelled by metro and cable car to really be part of everyday life in the city.
