Exotic Fruits Tour

This was an amazing experience! We tried a lot of different native fruits and they were all delicious. Diana was very knowledgeable and a great tour guide! I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to try the amazing fruits Colombia has to offer.

So happy I took this tour as it was a wonderfully delicious introduction to the beautiful fruits that can be found here in Colombia, I am so happy to know my favourites which I can now keep an eye out for! Our guide, Diana was so knowledgeable about the fruits and expertly showed us how to pick the best ones, know if they are ready to eat and how to enjoy them 🤗 Diana was so welcoming, friendly and fun to be around and it was interesting when she would tell us about how the fruits play a role in the family home and what they can be used for. I would highly recommend her as a guide!

Amazing tour and great explanations

I had an amazing experience at the market. Our guide, Diana, was very knowledgeable, well versed with the topic, kind and considerate, and would have great conversations with us. The market vendors were very hospitable with the travelers. I highly recommend taking this tour to learn more about the love and culture from the local Colombians.

Sofía was a fantastic, accommodating, and knowledgeable guide to the various exotic fruits of Colombia! Her friendly demeanor and relationships with the various fruit vendors immerses you in the daily bustle of Medellín's local markets.

Diana was absolutely wonderful! Super sweet person which extensive knowledge and a great storyteller. I loved our small group and it was very intimate, felt like hanging out with friends. Would do again in a heartbeat (I love fruit)

Great experience! Our guide Diomer was very knowledgeable about all the exotic fruits. We tried a lot of different varieties and learned all about the history of them in Colombia. Definitely recommend.

Definitely worth the price paid. The entry process was pretty simple. It was really fun trying new fruits and even realizing that a few were familiar. Would definitely do this again and recommend. Juan David was an excellent tour guide.

Sophia is a fantastic guide, she has soo much knowledge and is really personable. We tried 12 fruits in total, the majority of which I had never heard of, it was great to learn about the fruits particularly the way in which Colombian's traditionally use them. Would highly recommend.

This was a must-do activity to newcomers of Medellin! Paulina was amazing from the start to the finish and was very kind and knowledgeable of the different local fruits. We tried so many new fruits and learned so much about their origin and history as they made their way to Colombia. We would not have known or gotten to taste many of the fruits had we not done this tour. The market was very busy, but Paulina did a great job making sure we stayed out of the way and were conscious of the other workers walking through. The length of the tour was perfect and ended with a delicious fruit drink/smoothie of our choosing, all which was included in the price. Could not recommend more to anyone looking for a great experience and wanting to try new fruits specific to Colombia!!

What a fabulous, fun and informative tour. David is the best guide you'll ever have! The fruit is incredible but is only part of the story. We learned so much about life in Colombia. What a great way to spend a few hours!

It is a nice way to eat a lot of Colombian fruits and also get to know more about the information behind the fruit.

Real city tours are the best! Their name doesn’t guises are all local and they know the inside scoop. Paolita our guide knows the market venders and created a very homey feel within such a massive environment. She knows everything about all the fruits as well as the inner workings of the Mercado. So fun to try all sorts of fruits I never knew existed. Don’t eat much beforehand.

We had an amazing experience learning about and trying various exotic fruits around Plaza Minorista. This experience was especially amazing thanks to our very knowledgeable, fun, and personable guide David! We definitely recommend this tour for anyone who is looking to learn about the local fruits of Colombia and expand their palate. Would love to do this tour again!

A great experience discovering the wonderful fruit of Colombia! Paolina was an excellent tour guide and explained everything very well while showing us how to eat a variety of fruit. Very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend.

Medellin should not only be the City of Eternal Spring but also the world's capital for fruit. This tour is necessary if you like fruit (at all) and are in Medellin. Sophia was a great guide, and we learned a ton about a number of delicious fruits that don't exist in our part of the world. It changed our trip profoundly in ways that are hard to explain -- but, suffice to say, we continued to eat uchuvas and guanabana throughout our trip. We also sought out a chontaduro/borojo smoothie on Sophia's recommendation! Highly recommended. You will not regret 2.5+ hours in a Medellin market trying amazing fruit.

Sofia was great. She's very knowledge and spoke good English. She gave us a good tour of the various Colombian fruits. My favorites were the borojo/chantaduro drink, along with mangosteen and zapote. It was very interesting to learn about the medicinal properties of all the fruits, ranging from digestive aids to anti-inflammation and anti-cancer to sexual potency. The vibe in Plaza Minorista was very authentic and a nice way to learn more about the local culture. Thanks again!

Our tour guide - David, was very passionate and knowledge. We tasted 14 ish different unique fruit I've never even heard of before as well as an area and a delicious fresh juice. Highly recommend it!
