Juan was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about all things Medellin. We always felt safe. This tour was our favorite part of Medellin.

Itinerary
Your first stop is San Antonio Park, a sort of open-air gallery that includes some of Botero's sculptures. Botero is a famous Colombian artist known for playing with the proportions of his subjects. Here, you will be able to walk around as you learn more about the city with your guide. You will also visit gastronomic spots where you will get to enjoy some local treats!
Next, you'll visit the Palacio de la Cultura Rafael Uribe Uribe, an iconic Gothic Revival building located in the heart of Medellin. You will explore its grand architecture, learn about its fascinating history, and appreciate the cultural exhibitions housed within. The building also offers great views of the nearby Plaza Botero and the city center.
Continuing with Botero’s theme, you will head to Botero Square, the only open-air space in the world featuring 23 sculptures by the artist. Here, you will not only learn more about his work and life but also gain deeper insights into the city center of Medellin, its Metro system, and local culture.
Your last, but certainly not least, stop is a must-visit in Medellin: Comuna 13. You’ll take the Metro cable car to the comuna, where you will participate in its famous graffiti tour. You will see vibrant urban art, engage with street artists, and experience the warmth of the locals who love sharing their joy with visitors. Having finished this visit, the guide and the driver will take you back to your hotel. Take this tour as a starter and finish it wanting to know more about this fascinating city in this magical country that offers you everything.

We enjoyed our time during this tour with Alejandro. They were flexible to accommodate a later start due to our flights arrival time. Alejandro was very informative of the culture and history and tailored more to what we were interested in at the places we visited. Definitely a great experience!
Excellent day city tour of downtown Medellin + Comuna 13 with the very professional guide Mr Arthur. Bravo!
Excursion was ok. Didn't get to taste any local treats throughout the excursion. Only saw the Uribe Palace of Culture through the outside. I don't think tour guide took us to Plaza Botero, unless it was the same as Parque San Antonio. Comuna 13 was pretty, just felt rushed. We only visited a few picture spots because we suggested it. Otherwise we would've just walked thru Comuna 13 and left. Guide wasn't the best , always on his phone.
We really enjoyed the tour with Artur guide . He was great with a deep knowledge about the history and places . He brought us to plaza of botero and comune 13. He really took care of us and he was lovely to talk with him . We totally recommend him
Firstly let me say that the guide was a nice guy. But the problem was that I barely was provided any information as we traversed through the city. I learned absolutely nothing new about Medellin. I would not recommend this tour company. Preferably do a group tour elsewhere instead.
It was a very good experience to have Santiago as our guide who was raised in Commune 13 and hear his experiences growing up during this struggle of power and overcoming the difficulties of that period. We enjoyed his insights and kindness and recommend the private tour for those wishing to go at a slower pace due to physical limitations.
Artur was a very knowledgeable guide who was able to get into a lot of interesting details about Medellin culture and history. The Metrocable ride provided a panoramic view of the city. We ran a little short on time but Artur extended the time so we could get to see more of Comuna 13. All in all a great immersive experience.
Laura gave a great tour. Wow! She is very knowledgable. You can tell she loves her city of Medellin. She took us everywhere and told story after story about Medellin. It was a long day, but we got to see downtown, the cable car ride, Coumna 13 and other places. She gave us a good foundation to explore after places after the tour on our own. DO NOT hesitate to take this tour and try to get Laura. You will not be disappointed.
We had a great time with our tour guide Arthur! He was super informative, friendly and provided a great personal insight into Medellin specifically, but generally Colombia. I highly recommend this tour and him specifically. Communa 13 was our favorite part!
We booked this walking tour based on the amazing reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. Our guide, Arturo, was extremely knowledgeable, giving us insights on the city’s rich history as we toured the central area of Medellin and explored the wonder that is Comuna 13. He made it feel like he was an old friend showing us around his home town. Everything was beyond our expectations and we would recommend this tour to anyone who has no trouble walking around 4-5 miles.
Artur was an excellent guide. We started with a tour of Centro, enjoyed a coffee tasting, then rode the metro, cable car, and bus to experience the Medellin public transport system and see locals going about their daily business. We ended the tour with a graffiti tour in Communa 13. Artur answered our numerous questions and took great photos of us during the tour.
One of the best city tours to have while in Colombia. The guide takes you exactly to see the real heart of the city, explain the local culture, changes of history in the town and the best local food to choose. The cable car ride was so amazing and the views from top were so beautiful. Graffiti side was so interesting to see and learn the history of it, enjoying the meaning of most Graffities and enjoy the active life in this part of the city. Highly recommended in Medellin
The tour Best part was the graffiti tour in comuna 13, the city tour of Medellín was Also very informative, I loved the art of Botero museum.
All very cute, Santiago excellent guide took us through some delicious fritters and a very complete tour with excellent explanation:)
I hired the private tour - the Gran Colombia Tours agency is very good (especially on the tours in Bogotá that I did in 2022). It was very easy to make the reservation, and the day before the tour, the Guide contacted me to finish coordinating the details. In total, it was a tour that lasted 5 hours, including transfers. We visited Plaza Botero, Plaza de las Luzs, Government buildings of Antioquia, old railway station and Comuna 13, so it encompasses much of the tourist attractions of Medellin. The tour does not include drinks or snacks, but you can buy them at the sites you visit.
Es una auténtica aventura recorrer el centro y la Comuna 13 junto a Santiago ya que conoce y explica todo con mucho detalle. Repetiría sin dudarlo..Bravissimo Santiago!!
I loved everything, the experience was unique. It was my first time in this city and I wanted to come back, the guides were very friendly and always very attentive to everything.
...my favorite part, the story of resilience and transfromation behind all the beauty and joy shown now, the result of a "social childbirth with pain", a living example of rebirth of ashes (or bullets, in this case), a living and permanent example of what we are capable of doing when we work together and transform our pain into joy
