Joshua was a fantastic guide. He picked us up from our hotel and was very engaging on the ride to Comuna 13. He had a great hookup for parking and was obviously well connected all over the neighborhood. His tour was the perfect blend of information and exploring. He took us over to the cable car after we went to the top of the escalators. We had plenty of time to explore and check out the views and the artwork. Our friends recommended this tour after they visited a few months ago and we would also highly recommend Joshua and this company.

A great time in comuna 13 Comuna 13 is a vital and exilerating experience while visiting Medellin. How a neighborhood that was a "no go" zone for decades has become the art foodstall destination. It is crowded lively street art is excellent. A must see. Escalators make the climb up managable. Do go with a guide. It is a labyrynth. Our guide Joshua arrived on time and was a wealth of information,explaining the history of the area as well as nuances of the street art representations.. Also info about the city trans system..how to get around..the different "comunas"(neighborhoods) ..highly recommend this tour

We loved our visit to Comuna 13. Comila was a great guide. He spoke excellent English and knew a great deal about the history of the area. We were surprised at how many of the locals he knew there. Comuna 13 is not only an interesting area to visit, but the art and graffiti walls were amazingly colorful and beautiful. We also took a ride up the cable car to see the views and the opposite side of the Comuna. Also very interesting and worthwhile. We would highly recommend this tour, and Comila for your guide. You will not be disappointed.

It was well worth the extra spend to have a private tour, it would’ve been much more difficult to really embrace the history and experience of this tour in a large group!

Camilo gave me one of the most insightful and engaging tours of Medellín, especially around Comuna 13 and other neighbourhoods. He didn’t just show me the sights — he explained the deeper context, the history, and the differences between the various comunas. It was properly educational, but never dry. You can tell he’s passionate about his city and knows it inside out. Highly recommended if you want more than just surface-level sightseeing.

The guide was not very good with providing the history of Commune 13. Compared with the same tour we had five years ago, this was a very underwhelming experience and not worth the money that we paid.

My family and I went to Comuna 13 with Joshua as our tour guide. It was a great experience not only for the colourful views but also for the feelings, emotions and history written in each mural. For a Colombian who witnessed the events during the war between the cartels, this tour brought many memories of pain and despair.
