Combo Guatape And Medellin Sightseeing Tour W/private Transport

This was a really fun day trip. Alex was excellent-- He was there to pick us up on time (early, actually), he was a great companion for the day with great conversation and knowledge, and he was super flexible. As this was a private tour, we were able to choose where to stop and adjust the day as we wanted, and Alex was accommodating and not on any timeline. We liked being able to stop in a small town for coffee, we appreciated getting to the Piedra early enough to avoid the insane line we saw as we were leaving, and we enjoyed the boat ride that Alex arranged for us. There were some beautiful, colorful towns. We got a really good feel for the area for just having one day out and about.

We had a fabulous day trip with David to Guatapé. This was definitely the highlight of our visit to Medellín. David is very flexible on our private tour, he gave us lots of options that we could chose from and really customize our experience to Guatapé. This is the second time we use him for tours. He is very knowledgable about everything Medellín and know how to plan around traffic. I highly recommend him for you next tour!

I had an amazing tour in Guatapé with David from Medellín City Services! We took a boat tour, climbed the rock, and explored the area. What an amazing day with our amazing guide David Betancourt! We started the day with a prompt pick-up. We drove out to Guatapé and on the way stopped for some coffee and pan de queso plus a visit to a petting farm with llamas, horses and more. Then we stopped at the duplicate of the small town moved to make room for an electric dam and bought a lovely hat. Then off to the giant rock. We didn’t climb it but we did enjoy the view. Last we stopped in Guatape and enjoyed strolling down the streets. Then a typical lunch and return home. All in all a great day and we highly recommend it. Especially if you can get David as your guide!

The views were amazing, the trip to the rock both before and after were outstanding. David really gave us a great time and explained a bunch of the history. He kept us laughing and it was a tremendous trip I couldn’t recommend more.

I cannot recommend this experience enough! Our guide, Joe Posada, was extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, and intentional in curating our experience. Full day event and Joe made sure we had time to prioritize everything we wanted to do. He knew so much about Colombia history as well as specific history to Guatape. This experience made getting to and from Medellin to Guatape easy and seamless. The drive was beautiful as well as Joe found and recommended incredible food spots for breakfast and lunch on the journey. This way of experiencing Guatape made the whole activity very personable and enjoyable to see things at our leisure. Book with Medellín City Services and even better if you can get Joe as your guide!

We went for a day tour with our family of 4 ( including 2 teenage girls) to El Penol and Guatape with Medellin Sight seeing company. They accommodated our last minute request to take us for this tour on one of the busiest days of the year ie. Day after Christmas! Our guide Luis was excellent! He was very friendly , respectful and fluent in English .Luis ensured our experience was smooth and comfortable . He gave us the history of the places we visited and guided us around good places to eat and shop. We did not have a language problem since Luis was a great translator ! We recommend their services for a smooth experience in Colombia !

This place is really amazing, even if there is more than 700 steps it definitely worth it ! And our guide Daniel was fantastic, he got a really nice soul and contributed a lot of this good moment 🙏🏼

Do not miss this incredible tour! Luis was an amazing host, very knowledgeable and so encouraging on the 700 stairs. Never have I seen such amazing scenery, highly recommend if you are staying in Medellin.

The tour was great. David was on time and made sure we left at a good time given Holy Week. He took care of us and knows a lot of people so was able to make sure our experience was great. He really took care of us and was very accommodating. Really friendly and had a lot to share about the city. I learned a lot and enjoyed getting the local perspective on Colombian history and what it’s like to live here. Guatapé was beautiful and David took us to a few other local spots. Luis was great and very accommodative. I had him as a private guide for 3 days and it's way better than a group tour because you can control how much time in each place and adapt the itinerary to your likes. You also have a person to take photos for you if you are alone!!

We had a great time touring Guatapé with Alberto! His English skills are good, and he told us all about the history of Guatapé, the surrounding areas, and what it meant to the Colombian people. He made the trip comfortable and enjoyable, and he offered to help out with anything else we might need during our stay in Medellin.

Guatape is an amazing place to visit and this tour is the perfect option for that: it adapted to my pace and I got to see every important place in the area. But the best of the tour was the your guide Juan Pablo. He is nice, fun and the best travel partner. He made this experience very pleasant!

It was a long ride to guatepe But David made it very interesting with Chats about Music and the Country Itself. He explained everything during the car ride and the boat Tour. We missed nothing and are thankful to share this experience and create new memories with david!

The experience with David was so nice! He was very fun and easy going tour guide. He make sure to gives us the full experience since 8 am until 8 pm for escobar tour and guatape same day. He is a knowledge person about pablo escobar history and he knows good spots for pictures in el peñol and guatape. My favorite part was the boat ride in old peñol lake. I booked the Pablo Escobar + Guatape Full day tour and it was absolutely brilliant. My guide Julio was great. The tour was very informative and funny as well. We visited La Catedral, Pablo‘s grave, the house where he was shot and the Monaco house (which no longer exists as the government destroyed it recently). The views from the rock in Guatape are just breathtaking and the town itself is also worth visiting. I had a great day and in the end Julio and i were singing Jessi Uribe in the car. I can really recommend this tour!

I recently returned from a tour of El Penon and what an adventure. I will only recommend someone with good health, active and not afraid of heights. You will not be disappointed, once you have arrived at the top.

I have never seen anything like this in my life. The history provided by the tour operator left us in awe. The plan was for all of us to go up to the very top, I only made it half way. My son and daughter went to the top. They said the view was breathtaking. I sure hate that I missed it. I will do it on my next visit. It's a must see!
