We had a great time during the tour. The tour was enjoyable and also very educational. The guide was professional and entertaining. Be aware that the tour involves climbing a very steep hill. We didn't mind, but I don't think the tour description calls this out.

Learned a lot about coffee. Was a nice farm and the lunch was awesome. I loved the place and the experience.
This tour is amazing! Very informational and the views are amazing. Travelers do need to be in some what of a good healthy shape. Very steep and slippery climbs and descends. Not recommended for elderly and definitely need to where the proper shoes.
I would like to give this tour a 5 star rating due to the plantation tour. However, due to the transportation issues I would not recommend this tour company to anyone. I purchased the English speaking tour with transportation. The ticket said pick up was 9am from our hotel. No problem as we are always early. At 8am I started getting WhatsApp messages (in Spanish), again, no problem we were in the lobby having coffee. We met the driver in what I would consider the smallest beat up taxi I have ever seen. He spoke absolutely no English. The was already one person in the front seat. We leave and go to another hotel where one more person is crammed in with us. I’m thinking we are going to go to central transport place and get in a large tour bus. But NO, we drive 50 minutes to the plantation packed in like sardines with no air conditioning. On the drive back down in 85-90 degree heat I can assure you the ride was miserable. The driver also answered a text while driving down a winding mountain rode. Another lady who spoke Spanish told him to stop, nothing was more important than our safety. As a flight attendant who reaches far, I can assure you I will absolutely NOT be recommending this company. It’s a shame because the plantation did a great job.
Overall a good tour. About 45 minute car ride outside of Medellin. A small coffee farm focused on tourism. Interesting and informative tour explaining the entire process, as well as some interesting products they make from the other parts of the coffee fruit. Biggest minus was that we were transported (4 visitors) in a very tiny and uncomfortable car with not enough room.
Definitely enjoyed the tour. Very knowledgeable, good excellent, it is very rocky so wear sneakers .
Terrific lessons on coffee production. Isabella was knowledgable and articulate. The lunch was delicious.
What an amazing experience! Lorena was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. Coffee lovers, do not miss out on this memorable and fun day.
Ohh my goodness what an experience! I loved it! From learning about all the virtues of a coffee bean to wearing the attire and fun stories from our guide David, this experience was a blast! Totally recommend!
This was the most amazing and educational experience! Guillermo picked us up at our hotel and through out the drive offered us insight into the region, pointed out sights, etc. Once we arrived, we were met by our guide Mateo. Mateo is incredibly knowledgeable not only about coffee, but about agriculture in general. He is a natural teacher, and made the learning very interactive. He did not push or try to sell their coffee as the best coffee ever, although for my taste it is and I bought three bags to bring home. This tour completely changed how i think about coffee and how I will buy and consume it. The lunch was incredible, and I highly recommend trying the dessert options offered. Overall, this was one of the best experiences we had not only in Medellin but in our lives in overall. Highly recommend!
Overall a great experience from pick up at hotel to the coffee tour and the lunch. Enjoyed it very much and learned a lot about coffee preparation!
Interesting tour with good insights into the industry and process. Lorena was a great host and tour guide
We only tasted one kind of coffee, I think one was with milk the other without. I don’t find that to be coffee tasting. Also forgot to tell us about all the other brewing techniques as we just discussed the French Press. Everyone was friendly.
I came to this place last year to do a coffee tour with a family as tourists. The tour was awesome, the staff was very friendly and helped us a lot. The tour is done in the countryside area over 45 minutes away from Medellin.
Awesome! Learned a lot about the process of making coffee. How to recognize and make a great cup of coffee.
I really enjoyed this tour, highly recommend. Great information, great food, and of course the coffee was great. There’s also an amazing view up there in mountain, I could literally sit there all day and just be at peace in nature
What an amazing and immersive experience at Arrieros Finca! The tour was impressively well-organized, and our guide Laura Sofia was a true coffee expert who shared fascinating insights into the coffee farming process. It was a delightful and educational experience that would be perfect for friends and family groups alike. A big shout-out to the entire Arrieros Finca team and supporting staff for creating such a memorable visit!
Amazing experience. The staff was so knowledgeable, fun, and welcoming. We loved the grounds and the food was amazing. And the reason we were there: the coffee was stellar!
I appreciated learning all about how coffee is made and how to make a perfect cup of coffee. Highly recommend!
Amazing experience! As a coffee lover , I learned a bunch of new tips and trick to better enjoy my coffee. If you love coffee you should definitely do this your!
Picked up on time, and the Guide/Driver was excellent very personable and simple just a great guy. I found the Tour way to long. The Coffee Tour guide, she was very knowledgeable, great sense of humour, but I did think the tour could have been cut in half. Lunch was excellent and by all means the tour was well worth it. I enjoyed the horseback riding although wish it was in the country side as opposed to down a back road. I would 100% recommend this tour, I simply lack the patience on a subject I can read about and am only interested learning about the specific properly itself. There were probably 50 people on the tour with all the independent tours coming together for the tour at the plantation.
As coffee lovers, we were really looking forward to learning about coffee. We took a private tour with David, whose family owns the plantation. He had so much personality and love for this heritage and family traditions. As a family farm, they produce wonderful coffee that is free of pesticides and poisons used by many other countries. We participated in the steps from plant to cup. I really wish I bought more coffee, because I loved it so much. Don't miss out, this is a great tour.
Great introduction to Colombian coffee production. David was really enthusiastic and knew a lot about coffee, not just from Colombia. Humerous, knowledgeable, humble. You get to pick some coffee beans yourself and are then walked through the process of the production. You learn what makes a good coffee and what affects the process and quality. Also our additional "feline guides" (David's bosses as he called them) were a furry highlight. A tiny bit of hiking is required but with 2 working legs and a marginal amount of willpower (aka getting coffee at the end) it should not be an issue. They also give you tasters of lemonade and tea made of the fruity outside of coffee beans. So even as a non-drinker of coffee its well worth it. Will not be drinking coffee the same again. Can definitely recommend.
We learned a lot about coffee production. The location and views were amazing. Our tour guide was energetic and enthusiastic about his work.
David was very knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time, making this tour both educational and fun at the same time. The only thing I wish they had told me in advance was that this tour will be mixed with others who signed up for the coffee tour + horseback riding. So while the others were doing that, we had to wait for them at the coffee plantation, which wasn't an issue for us as we wanted to take things slow. But sharing this in case others don't want to waste their valuable vacation time.
This tour was awesome! From beginning to end everything was so properly organized. Victor is very accommodating and always wants to make sure that his clients are having the best time! From arranging transportation, to having English-speaker tour guides, and providing amazing typical Colombian meals. Everything about this tour was great, we learned a lot about coffee, got to pick it, see how it’s processed, and tasted it. They also made it special since my husband and I were getting married that weekend, for us balloons and a cake. Do not miss out on this tour!
The most interactive and knowledgeable coffee tour I have ever been on. They spoiled us from the moment we got on the bus and throughout the excursion. Great views of the Colombian terrain, a beautiful hike, and the customer service was immaculate. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area. 🇨🇴
I had a great time in this tour! I learned a LOT about coffee, had the fun opportunity to pick coffee beans in the field, had a delicious meal, coffee and amazing horse riding experience. I would like to highlight my time with the driver Luis, the David the coffee tour guide, and Jorge the horse guide. They were really kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I would really recommend this company to anybody going to Medellin. This was a highlight of my trip to Colombia. It was an unforgettable memory.
Memorable experience! Must be prepared to walk and have sneakers. It really help me respect and contemplate coffee moving forward. Totally worth it and lunch was great authentic lunch!
It was just amazing David was my tour guide. He was the best I truly enjoyed it. Every thing good and wonderful people I would highly recommend this tour.
We loved the explanation of how different coffee is produced & what goes in to making a "good coffee". The tasting was great and so was the lunch.
I learned so much about growing, making, and drinking coffee and got to experience it first hand. What a great experience!
Our group had a great time! David was a great tour guide, he was very engaging and informative. The coffee tasted amazing and we really felt like we learned a lot!
Our pickup was on time. This was very much appreciated. Our guide David was phenomenal. His humor and amicable personality are an added value to the very detailed and candid information shared. We learned a good bit, and developed a whole new appreciation for coffee and those that invest their time throughout the entire process. Our meal was delicious too.
Awesome coffee tour with Valentina as our guide. She was hilarious and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot about coffee and I can apply my knowledge since I'm a scientist.
Great overall experience, would highly recommend. A must do Tour. Experience the picking of coffee a taste of it and the history of where coffee and variety of of coffee’s.
This was a great experiencia My couple and I have a lot of fun. Victor was just the best, very funny and profesional. I'm definitely come back!
This was a great trip! I loved the experience, Víctor was very attentive and professional during the tour. I will definitely come back. Thanks for everything.
We absolutely loved this tour - one of the favorite things we did on our trip to Colombia! They were great with communicating with us all the details about the day, and were right on time to pick us up from the hotel. We did the english speaking tour with Amelia who was so knowledgeable and made the tour fun and interactive. The tour started with learning some history about coffee and trying a cold coffee drink. Then, we got to go through the whole process of picking coffee beans, de-shelling it, learning about the washing and drying process. We ended with getting to try 3 different coffee drinks, a delicious dessert, and then a traditional lunch. Could not recommend this tour enough!!
My couple and me had so much fun and joy during this tour. We learned so much about quality coffee. Victor guided us through this experience and we couldn't be more grateful with him. Looking to come back soon with the rest of the family ❤️
The tour was really good, but I do think it is over priced for what you’re actually receiving. I can’t lie. The tour was very fun and entertaining and we really did learn a lot about coffee and the history behind it in a fun and dynamic way. Our guide, Amelia, was very knowledgeable and was super fun to talk to and we were shook to find out that she was only 16 years old! She has an awesome personality, and we were all very interested in everything she had to say! My husband came from the US and this was a gift so if you earn in dollars, this really isn’t that big of a deal but if you actually do the conversion then that’s when it becomes overpriced for what you’re getting in the tour.
The tour was definitely incredible. We enjoyed the day to the fullest! I highly recommend you to travel with this well organized company.
Hey! It was a great tour! The guide guy gave us clearly information about coffee, Colombia and the history! Congrats! Me and my family enjoyed all the information a the coffee cup!
We learned so much about the coffee making process. Our guide Amelia was super energetic and engaging. The lunch and coffee samples were fantastic and it was such a great way to spend our final day in Medellín!
The coffee tour experience was enjoyable, but I have some feedback I'd like to share. You'll learn about the rich history of coffee and have the chance to pick beans, taste coffee with lunch, and receive a small gift of beans at the end. For first-timers, it's a good experience to gain exposure, but in my view, it's overpriced considering what you receive. My main feedback concerns the excessive time spent sharing information. We spent nearly an hour and a half listening to the history of coffee, and there was additional information shared at the end of the tour. This tour could easily be completed in within 2 hours max, but the added information significantly extend the duration. With a group of about 15 people, the majority seemed checked out; the guides should read the room better. If you appreciate a history-rich and slow-paced experience, then this tour is for you. However, if you're seeking a more active and hands-on experience with shorter hours, I suggest looking for another tour. Aside from this, folks were kind and hospitable.
Loved the whole experience! We were picked up and dropped back too. Our guide, Amelia did a great job of explaining the history of coffee, its significance for the local people as well as the benefits of coffee. By the end of the tour we learnt how to distinguish good and bad coffee. We ate the local delicacy for lunch with was delicious, vegetarian and vegan options were available as well! Highly recommend
While the tour was filled with great information on the history of coffee globally and within Colombia, along with some great tastings and a tasty lunch, the actual visit of the coffee farm was very limited. We were hoping to really experience the actual farm but the tour was: sit down at entrance and listen to information on coffee, get dressed, walk up a small hill for pictures, then a quick walk in a single file line through one short path (maybe 100 yards all together), pick a couple coffee seeds (if nobody in front of you has already picked them), then sit back down for more background information on coffee. Neat to experience but less than what we were hoping for.
The tour was very informative. Be prepared to listen for the first 3 hours. We came there for tastings and learning but it felt like the first part was a bit of manual labor picking all the coffee beans and the tasting portion was short. We did enjoy the lunch which was at the very end. I think they could have combined tastings with the sitting down and listening portion to keep ppl more engaged
The coffee tour was very informative and fun! Amelia was entertaining and knowledgeable. I strongly recommend this tour.
I learned a lot about coffee and growing it in Colombia. The guide was very good. We had an issue getting picked up on the morning but they sorted it out and we made it on time.
