The most AMAZING experience!!! This excursion was just what the doctor ordered. From payment to follow up, it was nothing short of great hospitality. The owner stopped at my hotel to allow me to pay as I didn’t have any cash. The fact that he went out of his way spoke volume. His wife was so nice and has the cutest dogs. I like the fact that he assured me who would be picking me up and let me take a pic of the license plate. That made me feel safe as I normally book through Get Your Guide. Bright and early Joshau picked me up from the hotel. It was a two hour drive to the farm located in San Francisco. It was nice drive with great scenery. He even stopped so I could get a photo. The farm was incredible. Our host was so knowledgeable and informative. Joshau translated for me. We learned about different types of plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables. What loved about it was he didn’t just tell you about it, he had you experience it. We ate all types of fruits and I even ate an ant! We smelt different types of herbs and got knowledge on natural remedies. We learned about cacao and made our own chocolate bars. Breakfast and lunch was included. Soooooooo freaking good. Our lunch was served wrapped in two big leaves. It was gooood. Now my favorite part of the day was the exfoliation with cacao at the water falls. It was AN EXPERIENCE! The water was so relaxing, and that waterfall…breathtaking! I jumped off of it. We spent about an hour at the falls then headed back to the city. This day will forever be in my memories.

Loved the tour. The tasting of the cacao beans was awesome. Joshua is a great tour guide.
I loved this tour; you learn so much not only about cacao but also about many types of plants, and the connection with nature at the waterfall was beautiful. The food was amazing!

absolutely loved the entire experience it was immersive, educational, and deeply connected to Colombia’s traditional and local culture. You can genuinely feel the passion behind every step of the process. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn, taste, and truly experience cacao in its most authentic form
The landscapes are very beautiful! The guide, like on the other tours, was magnificent, Andrea, and her warmth made the experience educational. I learned a lot.
We ventured into the mountains with our guide Joshua whom we met the day prior on another tour. Joshua was an excellent tour guide, knowledgeable and friendly. We felt like we were hanging out with a friend for the day. This tour was pretty special I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was so incredible to spend time on a family home and see how they farmed the land and utilized natural resources to support their everyday life and health. The day started with a 2 1/2 drive to the farm which is in the mountains of Medellin. The drive was very scenic as we winded our ways through the mountains. Upon arrival we were met with the owner/farmer (unfortunately I have forgotten his name) he immediately showed us some local plants and talked about their uses. We then met his family his wife cooked us breakfast and we drank a delicious cup of homemade hot chocolate. Our host then proceeded to explain the entire process of chocolate making from start to finish encouraging us to taste fruits and things along the way. We got to make a chocolate bar very delicious and also toured his land and learned about the many uses of plants on his property. The views were spectacular. One important tip best to wear long sleeves and pants and bring your bug spray for the mosquitos. We were grateful that Joshua told us this before we went. We finished the tour with a trip to a nearby waterfall where we used some of the chocolate as a natural scrub. This was a locals only location and they each enjoyed using the chocolate as a natural body scrub. The host’s wife then made us a delicious lunch wrapped in a plantain leaf. We enjoyed it on our way back to our hotel. If you are a nature lover and naturalist this is the tour for you!
This tour was amazing!! Joshua our guide was exceptional. Not only just about chocolate, but learned about many different plants, herbs, and got to be with nature outside of the busy city. Very nice to see people still connected with plants. The chocolate was wonderful and the breakfast and lunch provided was very tasty, and the salsa was very delicious.
The Cacao-Chocolate tour was quite an experience. The ride up into the mountain took about 1.5 hours from Medellin. It’s family owned, they were so nice & inviting. We learned all about how chocolate is made and got to make some of our own! They served fresh fruits & breads for breakfast & a home made meal in banana leaves for lunch! The waterfall part & cacao body exfoliating was super nice! Leaves your body smooth & glowing! Water was a bit cold but rejuvenating, bring water shoes for the slippery rocks!
Excellent tour, highlight Andrea's professionalism, always very attentive and friendly, super recommended
Camilo an exceptional and very human Guide. Always attentive and willing to help in any situation. He showed great concern for everyone’s health and well-being; when I felt a little unwell, he did his best to help me feel better and that I could continue to enjoy the trip. With Camilo I felt like family and not a stranger in a country that is not mine. I totally recommend it, excellent person and guide.
Excellent coordinator in Medellin: punctual, professional and attentive. Safe and well organized tours and transportation. Camilo and he's the best, and he's got the best team
