Itinerary
This tour will start at your hotel, when the guide picks you up. From there you will be taken near Antioquia University. This area is one of the high activity zones of the city, as it counts with Deseos Park, Explora Park, Aventura Mall, Ruta N, Bosque Plaza mall and Botanical Garden.
After walking around, enter the Botanical Garden and discover the true contrast between the city and nature. A living museum that seeks to promote the conservation of biodiversity. Visit its most important sites and live an interactive experience, learning about the importance of protecting and caring for the species collected here.
After visiting this place, follow your guide to the next point: the Metrocable. Hop on and enjoy the breathtaking views of the city from above, as you reach your next destination: the Arví Park.
Not far from the city is the Arví Park. An ecotourism park and protected forest reserve. Here you can have an ecological, natural and sustainable tourism experience. The guide will invite you to walk its trails and take a break among its natural viewpoints. After exploring this natural gem, return to the city. The guide and driver will drop you off safely at your hotel. Take this tour as a different option and experience the best contrasts of Medellín.

Travelled via metro and cable car to the top of a mountain to hike Arvi Park. The scenery was beautiful. The tour guide knew the area well and was very concerned for our well being. Next stop was the botanical garden. This time of year, there were not a lot of flowers in bloom, but they were still beautiful. We heard and saw 2 parrots and 2 iguanas.
We wanted some fresh air, exercise and an introduction to Medellin on arrival early in the morning after 22 hours of travel from Canada. This tour fit the bill. Our guide Andres was a friendly and clear communicator, and he managed the winding roads and heavy traffic with ease. Both the Botanical Gardens and Arvi Park were very busy as it was Sunday, but the stroll through the Gardens was still very relaxing and the view of the city from the Cable Car in the Park was incredible.
We had an excellent tour with Wilder. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive to our needs. We especially enjoyed seeing the river that runs through the park and the views from the metro cable (that takes you from Medellin to Arvi). Our conversations were rich in terms of exploring the ecosystems/sights of the parks as well as sharing personal experiences with the challenges and opportunities of life here and in our country. We had fun working on improving our Spanish and Wilder's English, and it was a great start to our time in Medellin.
I can't say enough about how wonderful our day with Andrés was. He was so friendly, so helpful, so flexible with the needs of my mother and me. Can't recommend enough!
This was a very scenic and beautiful tour. Andres first picked us up from our AirBNB and then took us to the botanical gardens in Medellin. We enjoyed the biodiversity there and the peaceful atmosphere. The rubber tree and the turtle lake was really enjoyed by my 4 yearold neice. After we took the cablecar to Arvi park which provided some excitement as well. Amazing to see Medellin from high up, a really beautiful city. The park was at almost 2500 meter above sea level, so it was cool. We started with a lunch of local paisa cuisine and set off through the woods. The vegetation at this altitude was really different than the botanical garden. Here we saw pine, moss, and a large bird of unknown variety. Maybe owl, but that would be strange in day time. We found a tranquil place next to a system of waterfalls to relax. My neice played in the wood playhouse. Thanks to the flexibility of Andres, we also went to see the local silletas maker and his flower garden. Unfortunately, we were too early in the year but still an interesting experience. Andres, if you read this. THANK YOU. It was a long day, we very much appreciate you giving us memories to last a life time.
We had Alejandro as our guide and loved our tour, arvi park, the botanical gardens and the cable car tour were incredible but the nature walk was probably our favourite. Alejandro was a fantastic guide, we came from Canada and our Spanish isn’t great so it was very helpful he spoke English and he took great photos of us! Would recommend to anyone visiting Medellín
I had an enjoyable day visiting the Medellin Botanical Gardens and then, by way of a series of cable cars, going to Parque Arvi. It was nice getting into nature so close to the city. Best part was my guide, Santiago. He was informative, pleasant and his English was easy to understand. Besides what we were seeing on the tour, he provided me with a lot of information and insights into Medellin and Colombia in general. Because I have some knee “issues” he altered the usual route in the park to accommodate me.
So disappointed not to be allowed in without my passport. The lady at the ticket office seemed to derive a great deal of pleasure in turning me away. The only blemish on an otherwise wonderful visit to Medellin.
Wonderful trip. The description should include more information though. The park is a hike. We had a lovely time. A very peaceful trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable. It would be nice if the tour included food or had an option to or even time to stop to just buy it on our own. Recommend bringing snacks.
Nice tour of botanical garden and Avri Park with nice views and walks. If you like nature, would recommend going for sure
Guide Santiago is very knowledgeable about Medellín and nearby communities, so unlike many other tour I gain a lot of insight from him about the history of the city and suggestions for remaining of my tour. Botanic garden is ok I like more of Parque arvi
Amazing! My tour guide was Santiago, he was punctual, organised and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed amazing views, scenery and the walk. Santiago and I shared the same passion for plants, which was really appreciated. Very unexpected add-on was bird watching. Santiago spotted and pointed at some few absolutely stunning species.
They ran out of tour guides that spoke English. So we had to use a very nice driver that didn’t speak English so we had no idea what was going on. He dropped us off at one location and said he would be back in 30 minutes. He came back in 45 minutes. That could have been a translation issue. There were three of us and the car was very tiny. The ride is very long so a larger car would have been better.
We wanted a private tour to relax and enjoy the Parque Arvi and this didn’t disappoint. Our tour guide Sofi was so friendly and knowledgeable, even catering to what we wanted to learn-the history of the Botanical Garden and the culture around Parque Arvi. Would definitely recommend!
Our guide, Wilder, has a personal connection with parques Arvi. That connection was reflected through his energy and made the experience even more special for us.
The park was beautiful and the guide was great with answering questions about the park. This tour is a great way to see the beauty of Medellin.
Our tour guide, Artur was fun, knowledgeable and was good at bringing us around the city using public transportation, Metro and MetroCable. It was a great experience, saw a few humming birds at the Botanical Garden and decided next time we go to Medellin we want to spend a whole day at Arvi Park.
This is a good experience to unplugged from the cotidianity. You can go both places using public transportation such us Metro and MetroCable. Sometimes the entrance to Botanical Garden is free.
Our tour guide was fun and was good at bringing us around the city to the locations. However, the tour company is not hiring naturalists for this tour so unfortunately our guide knew less about the flora than I did. If you want a guided walk around the gardens and park, this tour is great for you. If you want to learn about the flora and fauna at the locations, which we did, then this tour is not for you. You can hire a naturalist directly from Arvi Park and that would be the way to go.
A tremendous tour with lots of nature. We climbed with the cable metro to Arvi Park, a wonderful park. You breathe fresh air and there's a lot of peace. We did the tour with our fantastic Hanner guide. He knows everything and he was very attentive to us. The Botanical Park is also very beautiful, with plants, flowers and some animals.
Excellent tour very well done With very good companions and a very good guide with perfect knowledge of the gods
Excellent experience with the guide Alejandro! Someone who knows a lot about the history of the places and their country. We had a great time!
What a joy to discover after the telecable trip. A place of greenery and calm so close to the atmosphere of the city. Wonderful walks are possible or just lie in the grass and listen to the birds
The place is very well looked after, with lots of flowers and trees, and the city's nickname of eternal spring is very well represented in this place. It also has a wonderful restaurant, overlooking the beauty of the garden. I loved.
