Itinerary
First, the guide will pick you up at the hotel (private tour) and he will take you to the cable car station that takes us to a comuna viewpoint. Here you will see some areas of the city from the top.
Arví park, on top of the eastern hills of the Medellín Valley, is a natural wonder. It is important to mention many tourists go to this place on their own, but they lose most of it, because, due to its largeness, they usually don't know where to walk, where the places are, or how to move through the mountains. But we got you covered. Once here, we’ll walk along its various indigenous paths, creeks, and natural pools, and we will learn its history and importance. Birdwatching is a common activity in this park, as it is home to hundreds of species, both, fauna and flora.
Just a hop from busy Medellin there’s the comuna 2 and the hidden Arvi Park. Let’s explore it together!

Wilder was such a great tour guide!
Wilder was a great guide who taught us about native plants. He took us to a really cool swimming spot. Highly recommend!
I'm writing a review to commend the coordinators. The tour was canceled due to Metrocable and park closures following the earthquake. The communication was prompt and clear. They proactively processed a refund. Although this is what a tour provider should do, they do not always do so, and they rarely do it with the friendliness as this group. I don't want it to go without saying: thank you.
The overall tour was great despite the weather. Tour guide was really cool. The cable car ride was awesome with the beautiful scenic views. It was a bit chilly being so high up. The water/ river streams was cold but cool to bathe in. Loved the tour and experience.
Wilder is a charming guide who has lived through Medellin's transformation from the 1990s through today. He reached out before the tour to confirm and explain the details of the tour and hike. The day of the hike, Wilder asked about my hiking experience and tailored the hike to my experience level. We went through the woods, and he explained the different natural species we saw and their importance in the local ecosystem. We ended at the river, and it was absolutely gorgeous!
The overall experience was great. The admission fee was reasonable. We stayed like 4 hours on this excursion. Our tour guide Wilder was awesome and friendly and knowledgeable. Great scene of views and the park was great although the water was cold.
Great trip! The guide was fantastic and the views were beautiful. The guide helps give you trails and routes you probably wouldn’t find on your own.
Wilmer was very attentive and very nice. The hike was very peaceful. Thank you Wilmer for the nice experience.
We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with tour guide Wilder! If you are visiting Medellín as a family this is a must-do activity, preferably private, if you can. Communication by both the travel agency and Wilder were in English and top notch from beginning to end. We were picked up from our hotel on time and safely transported to the meeting point where we met up with Wilder. We took the Metro and 2 cable cars to Arvi Park. It was great seeing and experiencing the public transportation system in Medellín. We were happy to have Wilder’s guidance navigating the lines and processes at the train station and with the cable cars. Figuring it out alone would be possible but likely stressful. The views of the city and neighborhoods from the cable cars were stunning. Wilder described what we were seeing and provided the historical background each step of the way. Arvi Park did not disappoint. We felt so immersed in nature. Be prepared to walk but it’s absolutely worth it. Wear comfortable sneakers or hiking shoes. We were able to go at a comfortable pace for our 8-year old. Might be more difficult for a younger child unless they are accustomed to hiking. The streams and waterfall were so beautiful. We would have never been able to discover most of these sights on our own. It took about half a day. We went on a Wednesday morning and the crowds got bigger towards the early afternoon (primarily for transportation). Arvi Park didn’t feel crowded, maybe because it’s huge. This activity exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this experience!
Ask for Alejandro! He delivered a great day for us. We loved being out in a beautiful peaceful setting and he made the day even more special. Very attentive, patient and he has great English . We enjoyed the scenic drive, the metrocable return trip, the great hike to the waterfall and we enjoyed a perfect paisa chorizo / Arepa lunch cooked in the campground by locals enjoying the park. It was a lovely respite from the city . The artisanal market , coffee and pastries at the top were also great. Low pressure environment for browning the crafts . Highly recommend. And wear good solid walking shoes to go into the forest
Our tour guide was very friendly & knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to accommodate us! The views were spectacular!
Arvi Park is beautiful. The terrain around the waterfall has lots of uneven surfaces with tree roots and rocks. Be sure to wear the proper shoes.
Elliot was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about Medellin. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything. The Cable cars give you an amazing view of Medellin. If you’re in town, this is a must. A+ service. Request for Elliot.
Had a private great tour of Arvi park, including the cable car up and metro rides to the station. Sofia was an amazing guide with great knowledge of the flora and fauna in the area and provided many interesting facts on Medellin and cultural insights. We exchanged Spanish/English words and phrases as well. The park itself was beautiful with lovely streams and small waterfalls going through the forest trails. Did not go swimming (water too cold for me!) but it was an option. Highly recommended!
Arvi park is truly beautiful and the cable car ride down to the city was absolutely breathtaking we would have spent half the day riding if we had more time. Andres was a great guide who put up with us stopping every minute during the waterfalls tour to admire the scenery and take pictures. Definitely worth doing to see the mountain side and the natural beauty of Colombia
Really great tour. We had an excellent guide - Santiago, who went out of his way to make sure we had a really great experience! Really nice park. Excellent city views on the way to and from the park. Just an enjoyable experience. Would definitely recommend this trip.
Too expensive of what it is. Yo can go on your own and be so much cheaper. Requesting a uber to get ther or even by the Metrocable is better option. Price doesn’t include any entries besides de metrocable. But place is great
Arvi Park is a rainforest experience in Medellin! The tour service was amazing and led by our guide Andres. Andres was punctual, professional and a great person. His knowledge of the history and ease around the city was truly impressive! The views from the Metrocable are stunning and the artisan shops at the station entrance are inviting. We had some fresh strawberries and french pressed colombian coffee that were delicious. The history of the indiginous people of the region was interesting. If you are in Medellin, do yourself a favor and book this tour. Oh yeah, I almost forgot the hike down to the river and cascading falls...beautiful! Ask for Andres as your guide and you'll thank me later! Thank you Andres for being a wonderful part of our Medellin experience!
Real cool experience. The tour guide was very informative and friendly. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and family. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Arvi park and the land leading you there is beautiful. We just walked around for a bit and hung out. I didn’t see anything special to a private tour and we didn’t see a great deal of the area (never walked across the planks shown in the pic). I did appreciate taking public transport to get there but I thought we were going in private transport. The tour guide talked a lot about Escobar and I would’ve liked to learn more about contemporary Colombia as well. Arvi is a great place but I would go with another tour company that was more comprehensive.
Cancelled by the organization one day in advance.
The tour is nice, if you are a fan of nature you will like it, but I consider it too expensive compared to other tours, it is not well detailed in the tour information that you have to pay approx $25 extra per person on metrocable rides, it does not include any snacks or transportation for the price, compared to other tours that include breakfast or lunch and transportation, the guide was very kind and helpful
Everything was very good, a tremendous experience
Wilbur was an excellent guide!
All the way down the sidewalks is a good experience, with excellent weather. It is an activity for any age. It's a good contact with nature. The guide was very attentive to us. I recommend it.
Tremendous experience thanks to our Wilder guide who has great experience
Arvi Park, a different uniko i eksperensha, guides CAMILO with its uniko i Service with a lot of patience. Walking through the entire park was very relaxing. THANK YOU I UNTIL THE NEXT TIME COLOMBIA!!
We had a great time! Our guide, Alejandro, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We loved sharing a mystical experience with him.
Imperfect: Municipality 13, Parqui Arví, El Poblado, Plaza Botero and the entire historic center (preferably with Free Walking), Palace of Culture, Pueblito Paisa and a round trip to Guatapé/Pedra dele Penol (prepare your legs to climb 708 degrees)....
Perfect opportunity for bird watching and discovering variety of orchids, there is also hiking or the possibility of doing night tours in the park and astronomical observation. You can also have a picnic.
