I've stayed at both Dann Carlton and Dann Carlton Belfort. Both terrible experiences. The bold receptionist named David is extremely unprofessional. Not sure what he is so bad about but it's extremely unacceptable to bring that attitude to work. I've stayed at A LOT of hotels and also understand people have bad days but never felt the need to waste my time to leave a review to warn other travelers until this experience.

GREAT PRICE PONT $61 GOOD LOCATION Nice size room Nice bathroom DOWNSIDES No comfy chair in bedroom there plenty of room and a chair would make some where comfortable to sit No glasses in the room? 1 bath towel 2nd day Lack of attention to detail Breakfast is average and greasy not to my tast
Overpriced, poorly located, and shockingly unprofessional. The room was fine and breakfast was nothing special, but the front desk staff were unbelievably rude, dismissive, and incompetent. We arrived tired after a long trip and were ignored while reception played around behind the counter instead of even acknowledging us. Check-in took forever and felt completely chaotic. To make matters worse, the hotel is stuck up on a hill with nothing around it, so you need a taxi or Uber for everything. For one of the more expensive hotels in Medellín, this place was a huge disappointment. Absolutely would not stay here again.
Perfect if you have access to an automobile. And very good if you need to get around. Activities are about 10 minutes away and you will access it by a taxi. Taxis are readily available if needed
The rooms are very basic and not particularly comfortable. The bathrooms are small, and unfortunately many things are broken or poorly maintained. Overall, the condition of the rooms feels neglected and below expectations. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience was very disappointing. They are constantly running out of basic items, which makes the whole service feel unorganized. The coffee service is especially poor — no one offers coffee, and you always have to actively ask for it. Even then, the staff seem slightly annoyed by the request. The overall quality of the food is very low. The bread in particular is unacceptable — it is always dry, and there is no fresh bread available at all. For something as simple and important as breakfast, this was a major letdown.
