The suites are nice size but that’s where it ends. The safe in our room was broken, the toilet never wanted to flush right, the shower was cold, and the Internet kept kicking us out off the WiFi. Also the tv’s internet kept shutting off. Definitely not a 4 star hotel. The location is also so so. It’s nice and quiet but nothing is nearby. Definitely would pick a different hotel.

Central and rooms we're adequate. Staff were not very helpful at all, repeatedly only giving us two towels for three people. And especially bad in the restaurant. Leaving me to get the high chair and breakfast for me and my toddler, not helping or even offering to help clean the mess of the floor. All while the table next to me had coffee and part of their breakfast brought to them.
This was my third time staying at Cafe Hotel Medellin. I have a friend living in Medellin who comes to the hotel every morning to spend the day with me and help me navigate the city and attractions. Previously, all he had to do was present his ID and then he was allowed to spend approximately half an hour in my room to discuss the day and private matters. This year I was charged $150 US for this convenience. He never stayed in the room or accessed any of the amenities. This was incredibly disrespectful and I know I was ripped off.
We stayed there for three nights and generally was a nice stay. My only complains was that there was no fridge in the room and the basic breakfast..you have to be served eggs and in some other options and the variety was too small. We had dinner all the three days mostly cause of the rain and the food was not bad, especially the beef burgers,.we had some small issues with communication because is not easy to find English speakers like everywhere in Colombia but ok..in the end this is no problem. You can walk for 10min to reach Provencia where you can find all the restaurant ,bars and cafes so it's a good choice this hotel
I booked a room based on the website's offer, which included an airport shuttle — but it turns out the service costs 120,000 pesos, not included as implied. The rooms are very small, there’s no bottled water provided, and they only accept payment upon arrival — no option to pay online. The overall services are extremely basic, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Honestly, it feels like the staff has no idea how to properly manage a hotel.
