This was a nice and relaxing stay. We did not want to pay to stay on the delta, and we found this place located in Maun. They have a cute restaurant with nice views - the seswaa was absolutely on point (I ordered it twice). Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Kabo helped us with a few issues with a smile. We really enjoyed our stay here and I highly recommend it if you have a night in Maun, or even want to base yourself there for delta activities.

No elevator to go to the room. You have to go upstairs and downstairs several times to get to your room with your luggage. Room small and not very clean. Many insects (ants, spiders and others). Bathroom is very old and does not look clean because of this. Shower and sink next to the bed. All the furniture and equipment is old and some not working properly. The very old A/C is hard to cool the room. The refrigerator had food leftovers from the previous guests. The curtains need to be replaced (no proper black-out, not overlapping). Needs renovation ASAP. Very nice food at the restaurant at reasonable prices. Took us almost an hour to get our food served but the staff were very helpful.
DO NOT stay if you want to have a proper sleep!! There was a party going on all night (11pm till past 5am) blasting away music on Good Friday. According to the reception staff, it's at Croc Camp and nothing he could do about it as "they have the licence." And "It is approved by the President", with a don't-give-a_ attitude. Upon asking him to make a call to them, he immediately said it will not work without trying. Claimed to have called them, if true, this definitely happend before. Unbelievable rubbish, which country permits noise pollution late into the night. Double bed is made of 2 single beds of different heights / cushioning, can't sleep in the middle. Restaurant ala carte food was just horrible, grilled pork was burnt black, beef t-bone steak too dry and tough, fish (bream fillet) too dry. Can't imagine how horrid the dinner buffet would have tasted. Location is far away from the town centre. Place is old and half the compound is under renovation with a temporary reception. The road to the hotel isn’t even a proper road, just a bumpy dirt road and they are just building a new road. Price is expensive and definitely not worth what you are getting (and this is coming from a high developed country price standard).
I stayed at Cresta Maun after visiting Jwaneng. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though not as spacious as those in Jwaneng. The TV signal could be improved, which stood out during quieter moments. The hotel is currently being renovated, and if that energy extends to the rooms, it should make a noticeable difference. I’d be keen to experience it again once the updates are complete.
Out of town location, hotel not bad but currently being renovated so pool and reception not open, hence the overall rating. Room very clean and for Africa not a bad standard, but not a fan of the shower and basin in the room, not a full separate bathroom. Room felt cramped and there was only me. Due to the works and a long business stay which was prepaid we relocated to their Reily hotel in town. Staff very helpful with the move.
