The tour guide, Rob, was friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable. A great way to learn Revolutionary Boston.

Great experience in Boston. The guide was in character and made the history come alive with his storytelling. Would definitely do it again!
Jeff was a wonderful guide! He told stories at each historic site and added humor too. We were very impressed with the tour and learned new historic tidbits that we didn't know before.
Out tour guide was very knowledgeable and made sure our party stayed together. It was a great way to learn about the city’s history.
I communicated in advance that we needed to do the tour at a certain time and if that was not going to happen, then we would not be able to attend due to flights. It was confirmed that it would be at 2:30 PM in the afternoon on the date we selected. We showed up at the meet up location and waited and waited. i eventually went to a visitor center area where they explained this was through a third party tour company and no one was going to show. They recommend I reach out to request a refund. I immediately tried to request a refund as this was for a work function, and was told they would not refund me. I reached out again and explained that this was not my fault and that I would be filing a charge back as this is fraud. Once again, I was told that they would not be issuing me a refund. I can’t understand how this is acceptable.
Kim was wonderful and knowledgeable. The tour was so much fun and we learned so much about the history of Boston.
We had the pleasure of having Ben as our guide….he was brilliant…..entertaining and informative…..
My family and I had a great time. We started at Boston Common and ended at Faneuil Hall, it was a perfect length. Our guide was engaging, knowledgeable, and courteous. I’d recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys history.
What makes these tours good or bad is the tour guide. He was excellent. Very informative, didn’t control the conversation, let us ask plenty of questions and was extremely knowledgeable about all things Boston history. I’m a native to here and there’s plenty that I learned.
The tour guide was informative and engaging. You’re sure to enjoy it!
Thank you to THEE James Otis for an amazing tour! 10/10!! HUZZAH!!!!🫡
Our guide, Elena, made this a delight—funny and informative, just the right blend. The tour really sets up a visit to Boston, puts it in context. Plus the folks at the Visitors Center went out of their way to fix a glitch with the tickets—very grateful!
Awesome! The tour was thorough and informative. Our guide answered questions and kept us moving. Would recommend !
Zoe, our guide, was fabulous!! She was fun and informative. It was a great learning experience for the whole family. Even learned history not taught in school. We are so glad we took this tour with Zoe.
Such a great experience to learn American history from a local.
History and fun! Our guide was awesome! Hear ye, hear ye, a great time was had by all! Huzzah!
My daughter (14) and I were looking for a short, informative walking tour before we left town on Saturday morning. This was the perfect tour! Also, what a great value for what you get! Our tour was with Donald Watson (who portrayed James Otis). I was a little nervous at first that he didn’t have a microphone, but he did not need it. We had a large group (probably 25 people) and his voice carried over everyone. He also stopped along the way for questions and answered them personally before also announcing the question to the group. Our tour started at the Visitor’s Center in Boston Commons and weaved through Boston to Faneuil Hall. We only had time to go on the 90-minute tour, but it was fantastic. I am a huge Revolutionary War history buff, and this tour crammed lots and lots of facts and sites into only about 1-mile and 90-minutes worth of time. Mr. Watson was very animated and friendly, and definitely appears to love his job as a guide. He didn’t just “tell” the facts, but really brought them to life. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Boston and will book this tour (possibly the longer version) when my family and I visit Boston again in the future.
informative and fairly easy walk. The guide is one of the best we have used across the world. Very approachable and believes in his product.
We loved the tour guide he was knowledgable and authentic in his 1800's costume. He answered all our questions and gave us great recommendations to continue on the Freedom Trail on our own.
Donald is a terrific tour guide! He made the tour go by quickly with interesting stories and a few jokes. I appreciated his communication beforehand to make sure we were booked at the right time and knew where to meet.
Check your times with visitor center. Thrre was no tour at 330 as noted on viator. I am trying to get.a refund
Very informative and entertaining. Our guide brought the adventure in the pouring rain totally alive. Really good.
Very informational and historical in nature. Not physically strenuous. Our guide was eager to answer questions and kept the pace of a very large group (40) moving quite smoothly. My only complaint would be with that large of a group, being able to hear clearly was sometimes an issue - given the distance from the guide. Overall, great tour and highly recommended!
Fabulous guide!! The guide from Belgium. Funny and informative and drew the group in and just wonderful!
Great experience - our guide was informative and made the tour fun. He was knowledgeable about all the historic areas we walked by. The cemetery was especially interesting.
3:30 tour guide no showed. We waited till three forty five and then decided to check in with the. Visitor center. The tour supported by the visitor center was not available till the next day and only $17.
Amazing tour! Our guide was fantastic and really made History come alive. I would do this for again! Highly recommend!!
Our Belgian bespectacled guide was outstanding :) Very knowledable and encouraged questions and conversations. A great way to see a bit of Boston and dive in deeper to the history of America.
There was a rain shower about 45 minutes before we were to go. It stopped however a good 15 minutes before. We arrived early. We saw another tour leaving because no there was no one there. We waited and waited and finally called only to find out it had been cancelled for rain. We will get a refund. They told us there was another one leaving v at 4 with a different company. We went in and ask and that wasn’t the case. Paid $40 for parking all for nothing.
We had “Benjamin Eaton” as our tour guide. He was funny, friendly and knowledgeable. He took us in a great tour with loads of information and historical facts. We thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely recommend!
I had scheduled this tour for a Sunday then had a scheduling issue and called Saturday morning to ask if I could move to Sunday afternoon and they were more than willing to move it for me. The weather was good and we really enjoyed the guide. He was humorous and informative.
It was raining hard during our visit. Despite that, Andri was there to meet us on time. We were the only two. We had an informative walking tour.
Adri (Belgium) was simply amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend. Knowledgeable and kept it moving despite a lot of interruptions (St Patrick’s day celebrants).
My flight arrived into BOS at 2:30 pm My tour was to start at 4:30 pm It was cancelled and the last tour was at 2:30. I didn’t receive notification of the change. Paid an Uber $30 to get us to the tour start location which was not easily explained, called Viator only to be told that an email would be sent to tell me about the exact location. I asked the person at Viator to please give me the directions as the email was not coming in. She put me on hold To tell me that the tour had been cancelled. She was not pleasant and when I asked if could speak with someone else, the call was disconnected. Obviously if I would have known that the tour time of 4:30 was cancelled and it was replaced by a 2:30 tour I would have cancelled the entire thing since my flight was arriving at 2:30 and we would have never made.
This was a disaster, unable to take the tour. It never mentioned a tour time In the confirmation When we arrive at the location, we were told it was maybe 12:30pm. I called customer service they could not confirm. Someone was supposed to call me back, but never did!
Jeff (“Samuel Gray”) did an excellent job of informing us in an entertaining way. We learned much about the history of Boston and we were very pleased with the tour.
We had such a great time. Our tour guide, Jeff (Samuel Gray) did a wonderful job bringing the stories to life. Would highly recommend…
Great story teller. Especially enjoyed learning the significance of coins on military graves. It was a hot day and our guide did an excellent job of trying to keep us in the shade as much as possible, which then allowed us to listen and really enjoy his talks of various historical figures from the start of the American Revolution.
Tour was fun the tour guide was useful to learn about American history. It was packed well and walking was doable. It was something we would recommend. Also, we had to modify our reservation due to travel issues and the customer arrive person was very nice and accommodating.
Fantastic tour - entertaining and knowledgeable guide! Jeremiah Poole was our guide and he was fantastic - even on a scorching hot day he kept three teens entertained (no mean feat, I can tell you!) He was incredibly knowledgeable, very very funny, and a pleasure to spend a couple of hours with. If it hadn't been so darn hot we'd have done the afternoon tour with him too!
Enjoyed to tour learned many new facts about the history along the trail. Got details on the key players and enjoyed the stories provided. The guide was very entertaining, really knowledgeable and painted a colorful picture of each event.
Visiting Boston for the first time and wanted to immerse myself in some of the rich history. Really enjoyed this guided walking tour along the Freedom Trail.
We booked on Viator to see the history of Boston. The booking did not state a time for the tour, but only said that it was open from 9:30 to 4:00. We assumed that the tours form and leave when there are enough people, as some do. We got to the start of the tour at 2:50. No one was there. We called the number on the booking and were told that the tour left at 2:30 but that we could probably catch up with it. We did, but missed the first 1/2 of the tour. The tour guide said he would give us a tour at the end with the things that we missed. He was nice, and knowledgeable. The tour pointed out historical places, but it would have been nice to go inside some places for a brief look to put the dialogue into perspective. When we got to the end of the tour, we asked the tour guide if we would be continuing with some of the things we missed (as he had stated in the beginning). He said, no, he had to go home. It was disappointing. The tour company said that it was not aware that Viator did not put the time of the tour on the booking. This needs to be done.
It was very informative and was a great way to see the Boston Common area. And before and after the tour the area is great for shopping and eating. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made it entertaining.
My tour guide was excellent in explaining the history and important things about each place visiting. I wish I remembered his name but I believe he is the Dutch man . I went on a Tuesday afternoon and ended up with a private tour since no one else booked the trip . I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know how our country got its start
My guide was brilliant - entertaining and informative. Really enjoyed the tour! Would recommend to a first or second time visitor to Boston.
Superb guide! Great historical information. Some humor. Took extra time with us. Sites on Freedom Trail very interesting.
We took the Tour of the Freedom Trail with Elaina Vrattos Jacobs as the tour guide. She was fabulous! Great tour, easy walk (90 minutes), and Elaina was a fabulous story teller.
Great tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide, Jeff. Well organized, timely, and easily walkable. So much history in a short amount of time. Well done.
Overall I was just not really impressed. The speaker talked a little too fast and was somewhat difficult to understand. To me Boston needs to upgrade the whole freed trail experience. If I were to do it over again, quite honestly, I would download the Boston app and do a self-guided tour myself. That way you could do the freedom trail as well as other Boston points of interest.
