We had a wonderful full day tour in Boston! Our guide Mark was knowledgeable and friendly and kept our group of 8 entertained. We learned so much and saw everything we wanted to see. The van was nice and comfortable. What a great tour to see the highlights of Boston for a group that had never been. We loved it!

Very informative it was all understanding of the area in the history of everything that was involved during the 17th and 18th century
This tour definitely exceeded my expectations! We had 3 generations of travelers from ages 7-79 and everyone really enjoyed it. It was all of our our first time in Boston and this was a great activity for our first day. We had BJ as our guide and he communicated with me in advance of the tour and picked us up timely at our hotel. Our first stop was an Italian coffee/pastry shop in the North End. There we talked through a loose plan for the day, but the best thing about this tour was that BJ was totally flexible… There were certain places we wanted to spend more time, and BJ accommodated us, provided interesting commentary and even helping entertain the kids when one was bored and the rest of us were taking a little longer at a site/exhibit. His vehicle was clean, fully functioning and he had parking passes at certain key places allowing us to pack a lot into one day. I would definitely recommend this tour and BJ to anyone visiting Boston! We will talk about this day and the places we visited for years to come. Already want to plan a return trip! :)
Great overview of Boston. Covered all the major sites. Tour guide was great. Very informative and accommodating. Loved it!
Had a great time travelling with BJ He had in depth knowledge about the History of Boston & all details about MIT We had a bucket list itinerary of visiting MIT & Harvard campus Knowing these two world famous universities & we bow before these universities for their outstanding careers & bright students they produce A boon to the mankind
The whole experience was amazing-from setting up the trip, to recieving communications on timing and our driver 24 hours before, to the actual tour. Our tour guide, Jenny, was AMAZING. She knew exactly how to keep both adults and our teens interested. She was a great story teller, and an even better Boston driver. She was warm, funny, and smart. She listened. I highly recommend this tour! It was a quick-hit tour, perfect for our family just traveling to the NE for the week. We didn’t know where to start, where to park, the stories-Jenny took care of it all.
This was a great way to maximize our one day in Boston. Rocky knew so much about the history everywhere we went. We even got to add a few sites we really wanted to see to the tour.
Our tour guide Alex was amazing! A wealth of information so knowledgeable, kind, informative, helpful and accommodating. On a super cold and wet day she helped us make the best of it and taught us so much. Highly recommend.
Alexandria was an amazing tour guide. She was a wealth of information with endless history knowledge and so very informative and helpful. On a super cold and wet day she still made it a most enjoyable day; patient, kind, helpful, thoughtful and she taught us so much. Clearly she loves this city and sharing her appreciation for it with others. We learned so much from her. She even kept my teenager engaged. Couldn’t recommend her more. Thank you!
We had such an amazing time on our private tour in Boston! Everything was smooth, comfortable, and well-organized from start to finish. Our tour guide, Jenny, was incredible, very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor, which made the experience both informative and fun. If you love history, she is absolutely perfect and really brings the city to life. She was also a great driver, we felt safe the entire time and didn’t feel sick at all, which made the ride even more enjoyable. A thoughtful touch we really appreciated was that she had hand warmers ready and already opened when we met her. Such a small detail, but it made a big difference, especially in the cold! The van itself was a huge plus, clean and equipped with free WiFi, water, and visuals so you can follow along with the itinerary. One of the best parts was the flexibility, you can request stops anytime for photo opportunities, which made the tour feel very personal. Definitely take photos during stops, especially if you don’t plan on coming back to those areas! Highly recommended!
Mark did an outstanding job. Very informative and enjoyable all day experience.
We arrived by cruise ship. Our guide was Mark. He did an excellent job communicating before and after we arrived. Meeting him was easy which is not always the case in a cruise ship port. We opted for a private tour as we usually do. I had been in Boston before buy my wife had not so I wanted her to get a good overview of the city and surround areas. The tour Boston Hidden Gems and Mark put together was perfect. We visited Caffe Vittoria, the North End's oldest continually cafe to enjoy a beverage and a pastry and see this amazing old cafe. We then did a walking tour of tne North End that included learning a lot of the history and importance of the neighborhood. We received a history lesson while seeing the places that made history. We visited the Old North Church which has a special place in our nation's history. We also visited the USS Constitution (Old Ironside), the Bunker Hill Monument, Boston Common, the fascinating neighborhoods of Acorn St/Beacon Hill. There was more but you get the idea. Boston Hidden Gems will put together an amazing tour and you will leave Boston knowing far more than you did when you arrived. That wasn't all but what was important to us is the Mark put what we were seeing into perspective. Thank you, Mark.
Great tour! Perfect itinerary & very knowledgeable guide. Appreciated the pick up/drop off and available water in the vehicle (especially on that hot day).
Alex was an amazing tour guide. He is unbelievably knowledgeable and very entertaining. A great tour guide and tour. We highly recommend both Alex and this tour.
Our group of four took this wonderful tour this morning, and had a terrific time! Our tour guide, Jenny, was excellent! She was so knowledgeable, so friendly, and a pleasure to spend the day with! I highly recommend Boston Hidden Gems - you will have a memorable experience!
Our tour guide Alexandria was excellent - very knowledgeable and fun. It was a great way for the 4 of us to get a thorough view of the area and its history, especially since we only had a couple days. Thank you Alexandria for an unforgettable experience.
What a great tour, Jenny was very informative and friendly. We saw a lot of stuff you wouldn’t have seen by ourselves. I would totally recommend!!!
Super fantastic tour guide…Jenny. Very accommodating and understanding. She covered so much of Boston with great detail.
The Boston Hidden Gems Tour was an unforgettable experience! Alexandria was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Boston’s rich history and hidden treasures. She took us to places we’d never have found on our own, sharing fascinating stories behind quirky landmarks, tucked-away alleys, and local art. The tour was well-paced, with a group that included my 65 yr old mom , 2 teens and my wife. Alexandria’s storytelling brought the city to life in a whole new way. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a local, this tour is chill. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a fresh perspective on Boston!
Fantastic tour guide and day. We loved everything about this tour. I would recommend this as a must do. Jenny was great!!!
Alexandria was the absolute best! She was so patient and extremely engaging with our two small children, ages 8 and 11. We learned that she was a former teacher and you can tell with the way she conversed with the kids. She’s was so knowledgeable about all things Boston and Cambridge. Next time, we would love to do the Salem day trip and request Alexandria again!
The day started at our hotel. Jen was great. We did a little walking at each location. She was knowledgeable and really helpful. Our entire family loved the day.
Mark was great would highly recommend him. He customized the tour to our needs. We had snow and was cold but blankets in the car to warm up.
Very nice, lovely walk. Good guide. Interesting places. Can recommend to everyone. Suitable for old and young. Thanks
My wife and I did the whole day Hidden Gems of Boston tour last week and were completely pleased. Maria was wonderful during the booking process and assigned Jenny as our host/ guide. If you have Jenny as your guide, you are in for a great experience. Don't be fooled by her delightful nature and personality. She is incredibly knowledgeable about Boston both currently and historically. And she obviously delights in sharing that knowledge with others. She was truly as much host as guide. TJ from Tennessee
Alexandra was a wonderful tour guide. She communicated well before the tour, told us exactly where to meet, and tailored the day to best meets our needs and preferences. I highly recommend this tour.
I expected when I booked this tour for the price I paid there would have been a few perks involved. Definitely no special treatment given. Our guide was fine, he knew his stuff, he just needs to learn to cater to his audience. If you are taking this tour to avoid walking and being pampered don’t do it. If you’re taking this tour to see outside of Boston, it’s really good.
We like the tour very much! Our tour guide, Mark, was very pleasant all the way. He was knowledgeable about the history of Boston and was very flexible to adjust the schedule on the fly based on our preferences and needs at times. He helped took beautiful group pictures and provided good suggestions on restaurants and places to explore. It was an enjoyable well-planned tour!
Jenny did a wonderful job of explaining the history of Boston and showing us many wonderful sights. Had a truly magical day and would highly recommend! Was far superior to the large crowded tours we saw along the way.
We had a great experience. We toured many sights of Boston, had a delicious lunch on our own at one of the restaurants by the Quincy Marketplace, and visited Harvard yard in Cambridge, among many other sights. Our tour guide, Jenny, was courteous and extremely knowledgeable about the area and its history. She made it her priority to ensure we that we saw the sights that were most important to us. We highly recommend this tour.
Jenny, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about Boston’s history. She was also very considerate and patient with our son who has special needs.
I have just broken my foot, neither I nor my elderly mother were able to do The Freedom Trail. This tour was the perfect solution. Our tour guide, Jenny was very knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. We highly recommend
I had so much fun today! I learned so much about Boston and Jenny was full of knowledge. I highly recommend this tour for anyone coming to Boston for the first time or anyone wanting to learn more.
I booked with Chris for my clients, and it was an amazing experience starting from getting details, planning, booking & final execution of the tour by Maria. I wish i had the chance to book other services also with Chris. I will definitely use them in future, actually only them. I have no reason to look out for another local boston operator when i have the contact of Chris. Way to go! MY GUESTS WERE SUPER HAPPY!!!!!!
We were a party of five with a 2 year old and Maria was our tour guide. We covered several key parts of Boston and Maria was terrific in sharing all the relevant history alongside each site we visited. We truly felt like we were on a ride filled with rich American history and equally enjoyed the various sightseeing spots. Maria even customized the tour for us to accommodate our toddler needs and our need to take pictures by managing the stops and time spent at each stop accordingly. Simply put, it was one of our best viator trips we experienced and I highly recommend everyone to start here first.
Maria was a fantastic guide. She grew up in Boston and the love for her hometown shines through. She was a wealth of information. She was very flexible when we requested to shorten the tour and figured out what we could fit into the tour. She answered questions, had a great sense of humor and did an amazing job of driving in Boston.
Perfect day with Maria! She is so knowledgeable and makes history fun. From her stories to the lobster roll at the end of the tour, we loved every second of it! We will be back to book another tour soon!
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable even when my teenage boys , she kept their attention through the history part. We did the 7hr private Boston/ Cambridge tour. We even customized it a bit which was perfect for us. Couldn’t recommend it more . My 17 yr old and 20 yr loved it just as much as my husband and I
Maria - extraordinary, brilliant, personable, amazing , so great !!!! She communicated every possible detail in an engaging manner!
This was an absolutely amazing tour. Maria is awesome. We got to see so much and Maria gave us so much information about the history and even the geology of the area. Since my wife had recently gotten out of a boot we did a mostly riding tour and didn't really stop and get out at many places but Maria still made this the best tour we have ever been on.
This private tour is a 7 hour historical tour of Boston and Cambridge. Maria is an amazing guide, she took my niece, nephew and myself back to the facts and fun facts about the early years of the American revolution, started off in the North End’s Little Italy, had a taste of the famous Canoli, then followed the Freedom Trail that ended at Bunker Hil, passed by the rich neighborhood of Beacon Hill, had lunch of lobster roll and clam chowder at Faneuil Hall in downtown Boston. The rest of the afternoon was a visit to the prestigious Harvard Square/University and Kendall Square and MIT. And a last stop at Copley Square. My niece and nephew were in Boston for only a few days, this is the best tour that allowed them to see the BEST of Boston has to offer!
The one on one experience. Our guide was so knowledgeable about Boston and gave us the best history lesson. We loved it! She was so happy and excited about everything, kept us excited and wanting to learn more
This is not a generic tour. Maria's knowledge of Boston and the history behind it was very impressive. She shared a lot of stories and made them personal and relatable to everyone in our group. We were grateful she was our guide and highly recommend her.
Chris and Maria are rockstars! They take you to the hidden gems of Boston but the truth is that they are the hidden gems. They know all the best places to eat (ask them about the best sandwich in Boston, tucked away in a hidden alley), the best places to see & take selfies (we look mighty distinguished on those iconic steps of Harvard), the best places to avoid and the best routes to get there (no GPS needed with them). Our adventure would not have been the same without their guidance, leadership, knowledge, excitement and friendliness. 1,000/10 would recommend!
Amazing tour with a knowledgeable and fun guide (Bobby). Good tempo, speaks clearly humorous and catches your attention. Highly recommended!!!
