Boston is a city of culture, higher-learning, innovation, music, and of course art. The city’s Museum of Fine Arts tastefully captures the creative spirit of this New England capitol, housing an impressive collection of international masterpieces and mainstays in the mediums of painting, sculpture, artisanal items, textiles, and musical instruments. The Boston MFA is also the proud home of the “Art of the Americas” wing, which features a whopping fifty-three galleries of art and artifacts from the Pre-Columbian era through the third quarter of the twentieth century. Visitors will see such well-known American pieces as The Sons of Liberty Bowl and The Passage of the Delaware.

Great experience with Go City providing access to over 40 attractions.
We had a lot of fun with the Go City pass. We ended up adding a 3rd day onto our original 2 day pass we bought but were slightly disappointed because the harbor cruises were sold out each day & we only renewed for the 3rd day because of the harbor cruise. We even went at 9am to get the tickets for 2 of us but they were all gone already. One suggestion, take the Salem Witch Museum off of the options. That visit was a WASTE of time. The line looks like it is going to be an amazing presentation & it was terrible. You should have some of your content people go on that tour to see just how bad it is. The on-off bus was great - the drivers had the best commentary. I wish that was available on each day of your pass but they only allow you to go on it one day, one round. That was also kind of a bummer. But overall, it got us out & moving all over the Boston area to see as much as we could see in the days we were there.
I feel you should pick a different tour company than City View Hop On Hop Off. Unlike the Old Town Trolley, this company said we could only do one circuit. And we had very poor guides, which is a first for us. We usually use these in cities to get an overview of the area, all the history and then decide which areas to go back to. The art museums were all closed on Tuesdays. We were unable to use the Sunset Cruise, because they wouldn't let us reserve a spot. But when we showed up 3 hours early to buy tickets, they said they were sold old two days before. We did go back for the historical boat cruise, and it was fantastic! The tour guide was an awesome story teller. Which is what we had been expecting from City View Hop on Hop Off. Some off the attractions did not open until 12 and closed by 5, so it was hard to fit things in on different sides of town. I would still highly recommend these passes, as they encourage you to see things you might not have tried, and they can enable your family to see a lot of attractions for a more affordable price.
Everething when without a hitch. You just have to follow the instruction for the app. I saw everything that I wanted to see. I will keep on using it for other trips it save me a bundle.
The pass was a great way to see a new city while saving a few bucks on attractions. The guides were friendly and informative. The only drawback with that some reservations did not guarantee a ticket—specifically for the sunset cruise. All in all was a great value and experience.
Everywhere o went struggled with the pass I purchased, they were unfamiliar with it, and the barcode didn't work. One location asked for a qr code but I never received one.
I purchased the Go City Pass for my trip to Boston, and it was absolutely worth it. It made exploring the city easy and helped me save money on several attractions that I was already planning to visit. The pass was simple to use through the app, and I loved having everything in one place without needing to buy separate tickets. During my trip, I was able to see more of Boston than I originally expected, and the flexibility to choose attractions as I went was a huge plus. The pass was accepted without any issues, and it made sightseeing much more convenient. If you’re planning to visit multiple attractions while in Boston, I would definitely recommend the Go City Pass. It helped me make the most of my vacation while staying within my budget.
This pass is terrible and doesn't have access to many of the activities you actually WANT to do in Boston. Buy the CityPASS. NOT this "Go City" pass. The app is confusing and hard to use. It doesn't include major attractions in the area like the other pass.
The pass includes several top attractions, depending on how many you choose. We selected the two-attraction option and definitely recommend it, especially for the popular Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Tickets are often sold out, but with the pass, we were able to walk in and check in even though no regular tickets were available that day. We also visited the Museum of Fine Arts, which is nearby. Definitely worth it!
We went to the Lego Museum and the Children's Museum on two separate days and our grandson loved both. The places were clean and well cared for and the staff were friendly and helpful. The Lego place was amazing with all the hands on activities available, and they had age-appropriate areas for the little ones. The 4D Lego show was a lot of fun for my grandson. The Children's museum was an adventure for him and I wish we had more time to see all the exhibits. Will have to enjoy both places again. The GO City passes were perfect for us for a 2-day adventure and saved us a good amount of money as well. Will definitely use them again.
My first time in Boston City. WOW, what an amazing City! So many beautiful buildings, a lot of history, many great restaurants and good food. We were there during the World Cup were town so it a was a little crowded. But I can’t wait to go back.
The pass was so easy to use and we had no trouble getting scanned anywhere! We used it at over 10 places
Hugo was an excellent tour guide on the Go City tour bus. Highly recommend finding his trolley/bus
It was horrific. Nothing in your app or emails worked when we showed up. My daughter has autism and it took over an hour to get in to each of the places totally defeating the purpose. I ended up having to just pay tickets a second time. I wouldn’t recommend anyone using these “passes”.
Easy to use. Worth the savings if your activities are covered in the list- and there are plenty of options. Very happy with purchase.
It’s definitely cheaper with the pass. Easy to use. The app make it easy to scanned and you decide where and when you want to go.
I visited Boston the first week in December 2025. I had purchased a two day City Go pass. But when I tried to use the pass, I found that a number of attractions were not running.i.e. Harbour boat tour, Hop on Hop Off tram. But on the web site it stated that the Boat Tour was due to run. As these were the main reason for my purchase ,I found it very disapointing. I would advise anyone visiting Boston between December and March not to purchase the Go City Pass as I found it was not value for money. Also check the small print carefully before purchasing a Boston Go City Pass.
We got the Go City Inclusive pass with the 2-day trolley tour on the pass. What a mistake --- if you think you can use the 2nd day of the trolley without using it the first day!!! On the 1st day, we went to Go City pass attractions that were FAR AWAY from the trolley stops, so we were unable to use the trolley. All the details in the use of this trolley 2-day pass were hidden in pages of text that were not part of their simple instructions or marketing! Then we found out we HAD to start the trolley at only ONE station to get a trolley ticket and THEN you couldn't hop on and off wherever they had stops -- you could ONLY go in one direction when you started the hop. We lost money on both our passes!! Awful scam. Choose only a one-day trolley option.
Bought 2 days pass only to find things closed (JFK Museum, USS Constitution, & more) thanks to the government shutdown. Weather shut down the HOHO Trolley tour for one day. Old North Church not included. Overall we got little/no benefit from buying this pass but it wasn't the fault of the pass itself.
I could give a zero to this company I would! They had the worst customer service ! I had a very significant issue with the tickets and nobody was able to help me they claimed it was impossible ! I don't recommend getting their tickets at all . Please save your time !
Joey our tour guide on the Hop on Hop off Tour was absolutely awesome! He truly loves his job and the city of Boston and you can tell in all of the stories and information he gives you on your tour of Boston. My 3 young children even enjoyed the tour! Thank you Joey
The pass is a great way to save on admission to the attractions we planned on visiting. I saved approximately $40 on the 5 things we did.
The pass is appealing, but ultimately not that much. It lacks an important attraction, namely the aquarium. We were often told that it no longer worked with the City Pass in certain places. That's a shame with a pass offering unlimited activities for families.
We chose the Boston 5-day All-Inclusive Pass. There were so many good options to choose from. We started with the 2-day Hop-On, Hop-Off bus tour to help us get our bearings as this was our first time to Boston. Then we chose the guided Freedom Trail Tour, which we highly recommend! We visited 14 attractions during our 5-day visit. Minus the cost of the pass, I calculate that we saved close to $500 as a couple using our passes. They were worth every penny!
We absolutely loved using the Go City Pass in Boston—it was such a great value and made planning our trip easy and fun. We were able to do several amazing activities all included with the pass. We did the True Crime Tour in Beacon Hill, which was fascinating and full of local history, the Sunset Cruise, which gave us beautiful views of the Boston skyline and harbor, the North End Food Tour, where we sampled incredible Italian bites and learned about the neighborhood’s rich culture, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, which was stunning and full of mystery, especially after watching This is a Robbery. Highly recommend this pass if you want to explore the best of Boston while saving time and money!
Really disappointed in the way this didn’t work. The attractions are great but we didn’t get to see any. The trolley offers a two day ride so we only used it thinking we could use the other parts the next day. After calling Customer service we were told sorry nothing we can do. Real disappointed. I would not recommend this to anyone!
The Go city app was easy to use and gave great description for the different tours/activities in Boston. We did have a bit of a hiccup with sunset cruise, we needed tickets even though reserving on app didn’t mention. We had to run to the kiosk to get them, we got in line early to be able to get seats on top deck so we were stressed thinking we weren’t going to get good seats. Luckily seats were still available.
Great options around the city, and very easy to use. Just make sure you verify your purchase using the email they send because it takes a few hours to get your pass after that. I saved $39 on tickets for two people compared to what regular prices would have been.
I booked 2 excursions with Go City Boston Explore Pass for my husband and myself. Not only was it easy to book but saved $102.00 booking through Go City. Really enjoyed the Cruise and the Hop on Hop off Bus. I would use these passes again in other cities.
Great way to see a number of attractions at discounted price. You need to select the offer that best suits you and consider the weather too. We found the five attraction price very attractive and we saved about 125 dollars between us.Easy to use and no issues when checking into venues.

I liked the go city pass, it saved a lot of money. I really enjoyed the Isabella Stewart museum the most and the Boston Observation deck.
Our favorite one of the four that were supposed to be part of our GoCity pass was the HopOn HofOff Trolley. What they don't tell you is that you can only use each of the vendors one time. We wanted to use the HoHo another day and were told unfortunately only one use per pass purchased, even though we had three left. Our least favorite was the Historical Society Freedom Trail. 40 minutes of our 90 minute tour we were only 50ft away from the start, in his words "the best way to see the Freedom Trail is off the trail". We started out with 50 people and 60 minutes in once we left a famous cemetery we were down to around 20 people. The guide was more interested in inuendo and gossip than actual history -- which we should have guess when he introduced himself as Rod Hardbottom. Finally, we only got to use three of our four options as when we got to the aquarium they told us they no longer honor the pass so we had to pay separately to get in. We neve used our fourth option. I definitely would not recommend this pass as it offered less benefit than any city pass we have ever purchased.
The attractions that were available within the package when purchased were not available when travelling which was extremely disappointing as the ones we wanted were removed
4 attractions in total, which you can select while you are at the spots. save time and save money. worth it.
Hi TripAdvisor team, Don’t allow Viator for booing this attraction as QR code is not working at all in the attraction and Viator is not ready to refund ticket cost as well, Terrible Viator!!!
This pass is not worth it. The included tours are not the best ones. The hop on and off tour is not convenient. I booked a true crime tour through the pass and that was good. However, the ghost tour that I booked cancelled at the last minute and was not able to reschedule before we left. Will never purchase this again in any city!
Avoid this company. I wish someone had told me how terrible this company's customer service is. They are not based in the U.S. and there is no phone number for them. If you send an email, it can take a week or more to hear from them and it seems all of the agents have a different understanding of their policies. My daughter and I had COVID and we could not use our five day passes. I bought the most expensive passes and we never had the chance to use them. I emailed repeatedly and asked if they could be reinstated and one rep said yes so I replied. Then crickets. No response. One rep said yes, no problem then when I did get a response, the next rep said sorry no. Then crickets and then the next rep said they cannot override the system and reinstate the tickets. I replied and still haven't heard back. It's been weeks. If you value your time, do not buy this package. You might as well yell into a void. Just buy the tickets you want and save your sanity.
The main attraction we wanted to go to is no longer included, although it is still advertised -The Aquarium!! Also, had 3 passes left for the Fenway Park tour -only 1 of them worked and had to pay the admission. Don't know if this is a fault with Go city or Fenway.
The bus tour was terrible. The driver had COPD? and we couldn’t understand him at times as he could not project his voice. The service ended too soon and we saw other companies still going strong throughout the city and at a later time. Not worth the money.
Amazing! Staff, rooms, food! The fitness area, views of the park, every aspect was perfection! The hotel was spotless as well!
Had a great time. Made everything easy to decide and choose from. I highly recommend the explore pkg for anyone on a short trip and want to get a good bang for your buck.
I purchased the 3 attraction Explorer Pass with 3 chosen destinations one of which was the New England Aquarium. We got to the Aquarium 1/2 hour before they opened and stood in an already forming line. When we got to the ticket counter we were told that the Aquarium is no longer affiliated with Go City and wouldn't accept our pass. I was never notified that this change happened and when I purchased my passes it was listed as one to choose from. All the advertisements for Go City around Boston still have the Aquarium listed as an option. Very poor customer communication/service and I will not use Go City again.
Easy to use but took off some of the attractions wanted to visit with the pass after purchasing and before visiting Boston which was very disappointing and impacted my thoughts on Go City. Didn’t also allow to put the pass in my Apple Wallet which meant had to either print out which was a problem as didn’t always have interest access
The attraction we went to was amazing. It was not clear that we had to use the pass all in one day so I paid $154 for 1 attraction(the aquarium). It is not clear when it says that the pass expires 60 days after you first start using it.
Bought 4- attractions pass and we were able to skip lines at 2 of them. If you really want to get to know the cities, this is the best way to get- around and also manage your schedule better.
It was fun and easy. All we had to do was scan and go. I would recommend this to anyone, especially if they are not familiar with their destination
Go City was so easy to use - bought the passes before we arrived, activated on first use, just like it says!
Unable to open and use QR code at aquarium or anything else! Trying to get refund!! Common issue per ticket center with this third party vendor ☹️
