Wonderful tour! We got to see a ton of highlights in just two hours. Our tour guide was awesome; he had lots of great fun facts and was very personable.

It was a lovely day. I really wish we had ear sets to hear better so we could walk around and hear what was being said. If you weren’t next to him you couldn’t really hear well/
Alan was our guide. He was fun and informative. We had a beautiful day. I would definitely suggest this tour because you get to see more than one neighborhood and learn the history from Alan.
Allan was fantastic. Super knowledgeable and enjoyed all the information he provided. Throughout the tour he provided great tidbits about the city!
This turned out being a private tour for us which was a bonus. Allen answered all of our questions and took his time . The Freedom Trail component was informative and thorough. It was nice to include Beacon Hill to see the homes and learn who lived there. Boston Common and Public Gardens were included as well. History of Back Bay was remarkable.
Our guide, Allen, was very informative and had good “inside” added stories to the history. He wore a small microphone so no trouble hearing. Our group was 8 which was good. We saw some groups of 30 plus. Too big! My best advise is check group size. Good tour
We had an excellent insiders tour of Beacon Hill and Back Bay neighborhoods. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area and Beacon Hill was definitely a hidden gem we would have never discovered without this tour.
informative and immersive experience. be ready to walk. 8000 steps Alan was a great guide. learned a lot.
This is not a Revolution tour. This is a nice overview of the genesis of Boston, some historical backgrounder of key revolutionary figures plus seeing and hearing the history about interesting landscapes, buildings and architecture. It covers Boston Commons, Boston Gardens, Commonwealth ave., Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Faneuil Hall, the Old State State House and the Old City Hall, and a lot more. Don't let Alan fool you. He may be retired but he does this for a living - the walking tour pace is slightly fast to fit in so much in just two hours. We took a restroom break about halfway through. We're in our early 60s and in ok shape. We walked over 10K (walking) steps as well as some steps (real steps) and inclines (think Beacon Hill). We were a little stiff the next day, but all in all, we were good. Alan is a born Boston native and passionate about it - the real McCoy. We also attended a good revolutionary tour the next day, but we were happy we did this tour beforehand because it was not only a great foundation for the second tour, but it provided some information not included in the other tour. Thanks Alan!
Alan and the tour were absolutely amazing! Our family of three got Alan all to ourselves and learned fascinating facts for around 2 hours. We got to see the Freedom Trail sites while discussing them in fuller historical context rather than just colonial times. We also got an awesome look into some of Bostons prominent neighborhoods and learned about their unique characteristics. Overall an amazing time and 10 out of 10 recommend!
Allan was such a fun and knowledgeable tour guide. I appreciate that our tour group was small because we got to hear it all. Our tour guide was patient and answered everyone’s questions. It was my daughter’s favorite part of the trip.
Alan, our tour guide, was a gem! We were a small group tour that walked along the Freedom Trail, gaining insights that only a lifelong Boston resident could provide. The fact that he does this in his 'retirement years' tells you that he is passionate about history and his hometown. Friendly, informative, and made efforts to tailor the tour around the tidbits of info he asked about us. Highly recommend!
Our guide was great and knowledgeable about all the sites. He went at a good pace and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend this tour
It was very good perfect timing and entertaining very knowledgeable guide and with a good sense of humor
Very informative tour of Boston. He knew so much history of the areas we toured. Doesn't do the entire Freedom Trail. It was very difficult to find the tour guide Need to have a better way to locate them
My friend spoke very highly of it stating the guide was very knowledgeable. It was very long and some stopped short of completing it Sadly I was held up at airport so will complete a separate survey
A very informative guide telling us about the history of Boston. Chris made the tour very enjoyable by including fun bits. A very pleasant walk going through the main streets.
Wealth of knowledge on the history of Boston from a native. So many things we didn't know about the city and history.
We had a wonderful day with Alan, would highly recommend it to all our friends and family we really enjoyed it - would have loved to see the old north church if you could include in the future that would have made it perfect!
Good information / good size at 11 participants / Starting point was confusing we initially joined another tour. Thanks would recommend to friends
It was an educational and entertaining walk from the Freedom Trail, to Beacon Hill, and then the Back Bay. It’s probably the 5th time I’ve been on the Freedom Trail, but I still learned something new.
Allan was awesome. Our group of 5 were the only people on the tour and we had a wonderful time learning about Boston.
Our tour guide was excellent. Only disappointment was that we were not aware our tour did not end at the meeting point. We were over 2 miles from our car
Very informative and would definitely do it again. Tour guide was knowledgeable and respectful of everyone’s time.
Absolutely loved this tour. So much information and good route to see so much. Wish I could remember the name of my guide but he was just the best! Such a nice, sweet guy!
Alan was the best tour guide! This was my first time in Boston. So glad we went on this tour! Book with him! He was so funny and kept it interesting the entire 2 hours!😊
Despite very rainy conditions, Alan was a wealth of knowledge that only comes from being a lifelong Bostonian. He hit all the high points and also touched on architecture and some history of Boston that isn’t as well known. The tour was much smaller than others that I saw and I appreciated that. He gave 2 great dinner recommendations also. Thanks to Alan for a great afternoon.
Alan is very knowledgeable, we had a great time learning about Boston history. The two hour tour was plenty for my seven year old. Be advised to pack a jacket in case it gets windy.
We had a great experience, and learned a lot from our guide about the Freedom Trail and Boston in general. He also gave suggestions for lunch and activities for the afternoon.
Tour Guide Alan was knowledgeable and friendly. The tour itself had a variety of walking surfaces that may be hard for people with mobility issues. It was cold and windy that morning so be sure to check the weather and dress appropriately. We found the tour to be full of interesting information and sights.
Alen is excellent wealth of knowledge Highlighting Bostonian history and the quirky facts. We had a great time on this 2h tour.
Our tour guide was friendly and a great storyteller. We learned a lot about the history of Boston and the American Revolution.
Alan (Allen?) was very nice and super informative! He had a little speaker to help him be heard as we traversed Boston and we learned a lot of history from him! Lots of facts, lots of ground covered, and some humor sprinkled in!
Excellent tour! Alan is very informative and made the tour enjoyable. He is a Boston native so he knew a lot of history. We had a great time.
Alan was BRILLIANT! He was very knowledgeable and delivered the tour in an engaging and humorous way. He is also great at engaging little kids with fun pop quizzes along the way. Highly recommend this tour.
Alan, I cannot thank you enough for the amazing tour and for hanging in with our party of 6 ranging from 3 (almost 4) to 74! You had something for everyone in your tour. The information you shared was incredible, and the way you engaged with each member of our party and the other family we toured with was top notch. I also appreciated your humor and the clear joy you bring to what you do. Most importantly, we learned so much along our Freedom Trail and Beacon Hill tours!
Our guide was very knowledgeable. Also, took time to explain items (buildings, parks, history etc.) in great detail. Also allowed time to take pictures and ask questions.
Can’t say enough positive things about our tour with Alan! Very happy we chose this tour instead of just the freedom trail tour- for us we loved also seeing the neighborhoods and public spaces. So much information , makes you want to go home and learn more. Thank you again !
Alan was an amazing tour guide and clearly loves his job and Boston. He has a lot of info to share and we were lucky to have a small group. So glad we didn't have a tour with a guide in costume yelling into a mega phone.
Allan’s walking tour of Boston was brilliant. A small group and an amazing guide whose history and story telling made American history come to life. Loved it and made me wish I had many more days to explore what Boston has on offer.
Alan was a wonderful tour! He adapted so well to the weather, and we loved his humor! Super knowledgeable, and we got to hit all the hot spots in a great 2 hour tour. Would highly recommend!
Allan was very knowledgeable. The tour was well layer out. There was a good balance of humor in his delivery as well. My 8yo son was tested a few times. Would recommend this tour.
We really enjoyed this tour. Alan was fantastic in his local knowledge and took time to answer any questions. Would definitely recommend to others looking to find an informative and personalised tour.
Alan was very knowledgeable and had great stories and a wonderful personality. I will take the tour a second time to reinforce what i learned. Well worth every penny and more.
Alan was such a great guide . . It was so worth it to do the Freedom Trail with him. His knowledge of the history of Boston taught me so much. Definitely a highlight and would do again! Thank you Alan!
Following the freedom trail and learning the history of Boston was very informative Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging.
A great tour! Allan was funny and engaging. We learned a lot about Boston. Such a fascinating history an extremely interesting tour. I highly recommend!
Alan was amazing! We got to hear and see SO much in just 2 hours thanks to this tour. His sense of humor and genuine kindness was a major plus. He is extremely knowledgeable and answered any questions anyone had along the way. If you’re trying to squeeze some history and must see stops on your trip to Boston, this tour is for you. 10/10.
This tour was great! Loved all the knowledge that was given and the wonderful jokes that were told! Our amazing guide even provided some of the cold and wet people in our group ponchos that he had.
Alan was a wealth of information and often funny. He truly loves his city! A lot of area was covered, but not the cobblestone streets I was hoping to see.
