Very knowledgeable guide. Great food. Just the right amount of food at each stop. Best food hands down was Boston Sail Loft clam chowder.

Beautiful scenery, lots of great history of the area, and a wonderful tour guide. Shawn-Paul really knows the area and his history! The hot apple cider and cider donuts at our first stop, lunch stop in N. Conway and waterfall hikes in the White Mountain National Forest were all lovely. Highly recommend this tour and ask for Shawn-Paul!
Good good and historical info with humor! Dan was informative in a very fun way! He took us to the best chowder and lobster roll in Boston !
Great walking tour. Wonderful restaurants. Delicious food. Loved our guide, Dan. He is very knowledgeable and made for a very entertaining and enjoyable tour.
This was a great way to get some history of the area, some great food, and become more familiar with the North End. Dan was an excellent guide and gave us some other food recommendations for our trip. I’m not a history guy at all but it felt like being in Boston I should get a bit of a history lesson. I love food so I decided to do a food tour to make the history lesson bearable. Dan kept the history interesting and the food delicious. Highly recommend this tour!
GREAT FOOD AND AWESOME GUIDE. Dan was great!
This was a fabulous tour! Dan was super informative and very funny! The pace was perfect. We saw many historical sites along part of the Freedom Trail enhanced by Dan’s great stories. The food choices were top notch. Best Chowder I’ve ever had! This is a must do tour!
The food was delicious. Clam Chowder, Shrimp & Oysters and an amazing Lobster roll. Dessert was an absolutely delicious Cannoli . Dan our guide was amazing, funny, informative. Dan made the tour lots of Fun.
I've done lots and lots of food tours, this one ranks as one of the most boring. The food itself was great, the actual tour was too long with too much standing around or sitting around. We waited in lines too much, and a tour guide who seemed scattered and disorganized. There were safety issues where the tour guide crossed busy city streets against the walk lights and just seemed like he was not focused. We were supposed to end at the starting point, it didn't happen. It went over the time quoted and we spent way too much time sitting doing nothing in each of the stops. Never went to Quincy Market or Faneuil Hall as stated on the itinerary. I would not recommend this tour.
This food tour was an absolute highlight! The guide did a fantastic job blending delicious food stops with fascinating historical tidbits that really brought the area to life. I especially appreciated how the stories and local insights added depth to each location we visited. The walking portions were easy, comfortable, and perfectly paced, making the experience enjoyable without ever feeling rushed or exhausting.
Come hungry and ready to eat, and so much to learn as well. Big Al was amazing!, funny and made the experience the best, we do it again.
One of the best food tours we’ve ever been on! Big Al was FANTASTIC!!! We had the absolute best time. Big Al was very kind & knowledgeable in all things Boston and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend!!
Delicious bites, funny and knowledgeable guide, a wonderful day, despite the mostly pouring day. The lobster 🦞 roll and chowder were amazing.
A lot of fun! Dan, our guide , was extremely entertaining, informative, and fun! It was one of our highlights of our Boston trip
This tour was amazing, our guide Dan was so funny and knowledgeable about the area, and all the food was delicious. Dan also offered a lot of insight into what we could do while visiting based on where I was staying. Would highly recommend Dan and this tour!!
It was a great time with very interesting history of the area and the food was fantastic. Our Guide, Big Al did a great job.
We had just arrived that morning on a cruise ship from Iceland. We thought that we had plenty of time to get to the tour. However, US CBP decided that all passengers needed to do a 'face-to-face' interview before leaving the ship. Both the ship and CBP did a very good job of minimizing the impact. After retrieving our luggage, we 'learned' that the Boston Port Authority makes life difficult for passengers that want to use Uber and Lyft. The taxi union lobby is powerful. We had to walk half the length of the pier to get to a line where we awaited a small coach (think airport rental car transport) to take us to an offsite parking lot so that we could request our rideshare. We got to our hotel which permitted us to check-in at 10:30 am so that we could drop-off our luggage. We contacted the trip provider to notify them about our delay. Minutes later, I received a call from our guide. I told him that Uber said that we would be arriving 3 minutes late. He met us at the curb, and all went well thereafter. Our guide was OUTSTANDING. My wife and I both enjoyed the history lessans, and our guide selected exceptional food venues. As food is my primary love language, I know good food when I eat it. We are both VERY senior citizens. The guide and other participants could have been our children. However, the chemistry was exceptional between all the participants. This definitely added to the joy of the day.
I am sure everyone says Dan is the man. This was a great food tour and he made it even better. History anecdotes, humor, fun, not rushed. probably the most chill food tour I have experienced. Highly recommend!!!
Of course it is always the guide that makes or breaks a trip and our guide, Dan, made this an exceptional tour. Dan had a great repore with all the restaurants and this made for a fun and delicious day. The pace of the tour was leisurely which gave us time to get to know the other members of our group and also provided us with opportunities to pick Dans wealth of knowledge about the Boston area and other great restaurants to visit. This could not have been a better experience!
Delicious taste of seafood. Accommodating and friendly tour guide. Would book again!
Dan was super engaging and knowledgeable, and the food was delicious! Would recommend!
Our guide Dan was amazing! The food was excellent and plentiful! The historical commentary was excellent! I highly recommend!
Historical tour of boston with knowledgable guide. Great places to eat. Very smooth process. Restaurants were timed very well to avoid waiting for tables.
Dan was great. Even with just two of us signed up he shared nuggets of history, gave great food recommendations and of course took us to four great food locations. Chowder, lobster roll, oysters and Cannolis were fantastic. Touring the chart house restaurant was a highlight and his overall general knowledge of the area was fun to hear. And thanks for all the recommendations on food locations in Maine!
Nice stroll through Boston and some great history along the way. Food was on point and the chowder is worth the tour. Dan was funny and kept everyone engaged. Highly recommend this tour.
Loved the small group experience-only 10 of us with our guide Dan. He kept us on a good pace. We had plenty of time to enjoy each food stop. All the tastings were great. The only suggestion I would make is on the Quincy Hall walkthrough. It was very crowded and while interesting, served mainly as an air-conditioned passage to Faneuil Hall. Perhaps if time permitted, a stop at one of the concessions for a taste. Otherwise, Quincy Hall could be omitted from walk-through. Happy that Dan picked up the cannoli for the group rather than we all walk back to our starting point together for dessert. Overall, Dan provided a great experience for us.
Food and history…perfect combo for traveling foodies! My family from 11 to 44 enjoyed all of Dan’s expertise!
Sign up for this tour with Dan. I’ve been on several food tours and knew within 5 minutes this would be the best one ever. He’s remarkable, engaging, quick-witted, and so knowledgeable as a native Bostonian. He definitely has a gift for hospitality. He deserves all the praise because he makes this tour top notch. On top of all of that the food was incredible and we were stuffed by the end. If you take no other tour take this one.
Great seafood choices! Amazing tour. Our guide Dan was able to navigate us through the crouds of Scottish fans to some of the best seafood I've ever had. The history was very informative too!
It was a small group, so it was very good experience. Daniel did a good job keeping the group engaged and providing great information throughout the tour. Will look for Daniel to be our guide when bringing the family out.
We had a great time on this tour. Dan was fun and informative. The food was great. All around perfect afternoon
Dan was a great guide, so funny & entertaining. Food was delicious & good portions. History walking tour was fun & informative!
We had the best time with Dan! My husband son and I all agreed that Dan was helpful, informative and so funny! Would definitely recommend this tour group for a food tour in Boston. Be sure to ask for Dan!
This walking tour is a MUST for any seafood lover visiting Boston! From the first bite to the last, the food was incredible, with an excellent choice of restaurants showcasing the best of Boston's seafood scene. The tour was perfectly paced, balancing delicious food stops with just enough walking to keep things interesting and burn off some calories. I also appreciated learning about Boston's history along the way. Our tour guide, Dan, was fantastic! He was not only knowledgeable about the food and history but also incredibly fun and engaging. He gave us tons of great recommendations for other places to eat and things to do around Boston, which was a huge bonus. I left the tour feeling full, happy, and with a much better understanding of Boston. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and delicious way to experience the city!
Dan was fantastic! It was just my daughter and me and it was great getting a lot of insight about the history and suggestions for food from a "non foodie". Overall a great time a A LOT of food.
Highly recommend this tour when you’re in town.
Dan was extremely personable and made the experience feel like you were out with a friend for the afternoon. He was very knowledgeable and the food was simply amazing, best clam chowder I’ve ever tasted.
Check with the company before you book!!! I booked months in advance for this tour. This has nothing to do with Boston or the tour. It has to do with Viator! We plan our day go to the Boston Tea Party experience and I get a text asking if I’m here. No my booking is at 5. Get a text saying no booking is at 5. So basically it was cancelled with a partial refund after I booked another tour.
Our guide (Dan) was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurants visited were fantastic. Chowder and lobster rolls might have been the best we ever had. Would definitely recommend to friends traveling to Boston.
Wow! Our guide Dan was amazing. We learned so much Boston history while eating great seafood. The New England Clam Chowder with dill was the best I have ever had; and how can you go wrong with a lobster roll.
Excellent guide, very knowledgeable. Dan had a flare for making the history of the area/Boston very fascinating. The food was absolutely delicious, everything you would want it to be, and a lot of it. Definitely a five star, I would recommend this tour to everybody.
It was fantastic! Dan was super friendly, and the food was great too! Loved the clam chowder and the Maine lobster roll!!!
Dan, our guide, was very personable and funny. Food was great, especially chowder and lobster rolls.
Dan was so great! I really enjoyed his sense of humor and his knowledge of the best restaurants in Boston. I had the best clam chowder of my life!
