Such a disappointment as no support, no responsibility, no care as just an 'app'. We wasted half a day after travelling across Boston to the MIT 10.30am tour where nobody appeared. We had no ability to call a number as had data only eSIM and after searching for email support were quoted terms and conditions. Shocking lack of customer service

This is the best way to see Boston. We were able to do so many different things that we would not have done without the pass.
A few experience and things on the pass were closed and some of the times listed on the app are wrong. This caused our group to miss doing a few things but overall the pass is well worth it.
Having visited various city's in the past I knew it was important to prebook some type of City pass for the various sight seeing opportunities in Boston, which is what we did with Go City. The 40+ pass allowed us to visit everything we wanted to plus a few other places while being good value and saving us money. The only thing missing from the pass was the tube/train and bus pass which was a Charlie ticket, that gave us 7 days unlimited travel, but we had to arrange this separately.
We stayed in Boston for a week and really got our moneys worth from this pass. It was easy to use, the app was brilliant to help us decide which attractions we would visit. Such great value if you’re going for a longer trip and plan on going hard on the sights.
Well worth the money! My husband and I had gone to Boston 17 years ago but we didn't tour everything because of the cost. This time we got the pass and we did so much more! It was very convenient and gave us a lot of options of things to do. The only thing is that I wish we had an option to do the Boston Tea Party Museum and maybe another Hop on Hop Off Tour option. We took advantage of Boston's public transportation system and visited other locations because of our pass. We got to see more. Highly recommend.
It was great! Just wish the aquarium was still part of this experience.
They need to bring back premium attractions to include. The value is not the same anymore and it is not as appealing as it once was without the option of the New England Aquarium. Many years ago, the Duck Boat tour was also an option. Perhaps they could partner with Codzilla. The inclusive pass offers a lot of educational and cultural options, but nothing exceptionally "fun" for teens. View Boston is disappointing and needs more interesting exhibits and things to see (besides the view!). The TD Garden tour is frequently unavailable due to the summer concert schedule and the Sports Museum Tour sells out quickly and does not reserve any extra spaces for Go City pass holders. City Pass holders should be able to reserve on the website ahead of time just as well do for other tours. I also think it is unfair to make the gratuity obligatory for groups on the True Crime tour.
The Go City pass was perfect to reduce the hassle of everything. Venues were set up well to accommodate it.
I was a bit perturbed that it was advertised to include Boston tea party tour, and New England aquarium. When I ordered I then realized these experiences were not included. I should’ve looked closer. Had I realize this I may have ordered from a different company where these would have been included.
I thought the Go City Pass was an excellent way to see the different activities in Boston. I know it saved us around $100 based on which activities we chose to do. All we had to do was scan the app when we got to an attraction and we were good to go.
I practically lost money buying this pass. The trips are too long to take advantage of the unlimited pass for days (Plymouth and Salem are very far away, and if you decide to go to either of those places, it's practically impossible to do anything else that day). In Boston, almost everything closed between 3 and 5 p.m. On the other hand, I decided to go to Salem on my last day (Tuesday) and the experience was very bad, as the witch museum and the Peabody were closed, so I wasted my trip to that city.
I was able to enter each attraction without any hassle, which made the experience very enjoyable. The Museum of Science offered plenty to see and explore. Although the Sports Museum required scheduling, we were still able to visit on the same day. Boston View was especially impressive you could see the entire city beautifully lit with Christmas lights at night. Crowd sizes were manageable, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
We have enjoyed our time with the package over 3 days. It has more than paid for itself -after one day. Two things need to be said. Go to Boston Commons Visitor Center and get a map for City Tours. We walked for awhile trying to find the hookup and start touring. Review your visits before hand and make reservations. (Harvard Tour, Rooftop Viewing,…) . It is good to use the City Trolley, the grey bus) for help getting to some of the outer perimeter activities and to sit for a moment. Plymouth is well worth the excursion. It is approximately 1 hour of drive time from Boston. The pass pays for all three activities. LaLa was an exceptional guide. Have fun! 🤩
Nice variety of activities included in the pass. There is something for everyone! Trip planning feature is wonderful and helps you coordinate activities in close proximity to each other.
It was a good value for all we got. Because of the Government shut down, not all sights were open. Not their fault. But what sights were open was good. The trolley tour was a little hokey, that’s why I gave it 4 stars.
Overall this appears to be a good option, but it requires a lot of work and planning to make the most of it. I took a 3 day pass and planned out my activities only to find a lit of restrictions. For example, while there are many Freedom Trail tours, they are restricted to certain times using the pass. The Hop on/off bus is okay, but has limitations. Also, be aware some of the tour operators only allow 1 use per day for the pass. I had planned 2 per day (lunch and evening tour) but had to skip them or pay for them separately After a lot of juggling things around I managed to get a lot of use of the pass, but it needs a LOT of planning, and then lots of getting from a to b (good amount of walking). There are also some key things that are not included, such as Febway Park tour.
Good value, we did the Trolley bus, Harbour Cruise, view from prudential, Salem witch museum, freedom trail tour & Harvard tour. There are lots of other walking tours & museums , but we find museums boring. Go City was good value. Worked out what it would cost for each & made it work , 5 days $125 each. Also bought Tea Party & Red Sox tkts. Boston is brilliant 🤩
Great option if you’re planning on spending a few days in Boston/ Salem. It was a choose your own adventure experience that gave us the ability to customize our visit. Lots of great museums/ history tours. My only complaint would be what is offered for “the House of Seven Gables” in Salem. With this pass you only get the grounds not the house tour and we ended up paying full price for the house tour. I think it would be nice if you only had to pay the difference to get the house tour included.
Lots of great choices of events and easy to use. Great bargain for the events! We really enjoyed being able to use the passes in Salem and in Boston.
This is totally the way to do Boston, Lexington, Concord, and the greater area. We loved everything we were able to do! Tour in Lexington/Concord, walking tour in Boston, harbor boat tour, museums, swan boats, Harvard, and more.
My mother and I were able to do more than we had originally planned on our trip because of this pass. We were trying to watch our spending but since we got the pass, we were able to do a bunch of things that we were going to skip like the Science museum, aquarium (we’re from California so we’ve got great aquariums here), trolly tours, walking tours, and more. This pass allowed us to be able to do at least twice as many things as we would have without it!!!
We loved the Boston Pass! It had so many activities to do, and they weren’t all in Boston. It included activities in Salem, Plymouth, and Cape Cod as well. The pass was easy to use and it made our Boston experience the best vacation ever!
The Go City pass is a great and easy way to visit all the tourist spots. However, it's not ideal for solo travelers, as some tours require a minimum of two people to book. I experienced this on two separate trips by myself. In Boston, for instance, I was unable to book several interesting walking tours. For example, the Beacon Hill True Crime Tour explicitly states a two-person minimum, and other guided activities like the North End 'Little Italy' Food Tour or the Haunted Boston History and Mystery Walking Tour were also impossible for me to book alone. It was very disappointing. Furthermore, I found it strange that for these Boston tours, I was required to provide a credit card number to hold my reservation. The website stated this was to guarantee attendance, but I didn't understand why it was necessary since I had already paid for the pass. The Philadelphia pass didn't have this requirement, so perhaps it's a rule specific to Boston. Overall, the pass is very convenient for visiting the main attractions, and you can see many places if you have the energy. I hope that in the future, Go City will work with its partners to allow single travelers to book all tours, as traveling solo is a popular and growing trend.
We had a good time, but it was very confusing that we had to go down to the harbor to initiate our path and then double back to the freedom trail on Tremont Street to start fortunately, the very kind hop on hop off bus driver let us on to get to the harbor to activate our pass otherwise we would not have been able to get there from our hotel We wasted an awful lot of time going to the harbor from our hotel, which was by Tremont Street, and then taking the bus all the way back to Tremont Street missing tour overall we did save money, but we wasted an awful lot of time. It would be nice if you had a booth that you could initiate the pass on the other side of town, a.k.a. Tremont Street start of freedom Trail Tour Overall, we did save money we used to have and hop off. We use the freedom trail and we use the harbor shore. It would’ve been nice to be able to do more, but we wasted too much time trying to get around and figure it out. Also, you do not have the hop on hop off bus stops marked very well. Overall it was an average experience if I was referred to anybody, I would definitely make sure that they knew they had to go to the harbor to initiate the path and to do that at night in the morning rather than when we finally got down there by 11 and lost a lot of time.
The options were plentiful and offered up something for all of us. Boston is an amazing city from the history to the food.
One of these multi tickets is the only way to consider if you’re visiting Boston. You can save serious amount of cash.
This was a family trip ranging in ages of 11-63. The landmarks and activities were enjoyed by all. The weather was great, and we are ready to make plans for a return trip.
It was great to pick the experiences we wanted. Very easy to use the app. Loved the flexibility. Favorite Go Boston Tours were: 2 day Hop off & on Trolly, Haunted Boston History walking Tour, Boston Harbor Cruise, Plimoth-Patuxet Museum, Salem Witch Museum- all provided history lessons that were enjoyed by all of us!
Although shuttle was free for two days it did not run past 5pm, which limited some of the evening exploring. It would have been nice if somewhere there would have been a reference to all of the transportation available in Boston with schedules and locations (such as the subway and busses. I would recommend planning your shuttle days (in a row) for downtown Boston and taking your car to Salem and the Chesapeake areas. Boston needs to paint lines on the sidewalks so people can find the historic buildings and sites among the skyscrapers. Boston people were very friendly. Chesapeake has the best and lest expensive seafood. The package was good value for the money and I would it again..
The pass was super easy to use at all venues and we saved over $240 USD seeing the sights in Boston. We were disappointed the Fenway park tour was removed as an option a few days before our trip.
So easy to use. We saw so much more than we would have without. highly recommend. saved over twice of what paid. we used it every day 5 days
Really liked having ticket discounts and passes into sites ready to go on my phone. Read carefully the dates and times the attractions are open to create your personal itinerary around a city.
My friend and I enjoyed the pass and the tours. It was a great value and pushed us to see things we never would have without the pass. The only disappointments came from Top Dog Tours cancelling two of their tours. We were unable to reschedule due to the timeline of our trip and even if we had been able, it would have been outside of our Go pass timeframe. One other suggestion would be having updated schedules for the tours/sights based on the season.
This is a great service. Save money, get suggestions via the app and don’t have to take out your purse every time so feels saver.
When I added it all up I don't think it saved me anything. In fact there was a mix up with some of my tickets to a tour that I ended up paying for that should have been a part of the pass. But they couldn't help me because it was with a company they contracted -Top Dog Tours- with and sent me to deal with them- who haven't replied to any of my messages. So it actually ended up costing about $75 more than had I just purchased all of my tickets. The only bonus I guess is being able to pay the passes off prior to the trip to help with budgeting.
We visited March 31-April 1- it was a Monday and Tuesday- so many events were no longer available, open yet or closed on those days. We still loved the ease and basically making the itinerary for us off where to go but we definitely didn’t save money on this one. If you’re visiting Wednesday through Sunday and after April 15 then these passes are valuable.
Not to book this experience as every thing we visited was not open till April shame on you You must be aware of this fact thats what you do. you took over £100 and er did not get into to one
Every thing we went to was not operating due to time of year. Even their trolly bus was not operating until April paid a lot of money for nothing
Boston is a beautiful city and the go city pass made it easy to plan our trip . The pass also saved lots of $$$ the subway was easy to use (green line could be tricky). Uber taxi also plentiful and reasonable
Great pass and great options to explore a new city. I was able to do a lot. The only thing I suggest is plan out your days to get the best and most of the pass. Boston is a city that starts their days late and end their day earlier than you think. The T pass is also a great tool to get a lot done.
The pass was easy to use & a great way to save money. The only thing I didn't was that they advertised seasonal attractions which I thought were actually available. They should advertise a fall/winter pass & a spring/summer pass.
My QR code wouldn’t ever work for our city pass, no response from cutie so I had to purchase tickets for 2 of the attractions for 5 people.
The app was easy to use and saved us a lot of money. Some of the connected vendors made you sign up on their website which was a little cumbersome but overall fine.
I wasted a lot of time trying to access our tickets and we missed out on many stops because we ran out of time. I had to call customer service but by the time I found a number to call I’d wasted over an hour
Pass worked very well-scanned and accepted at all attractions/destinations on the extensive list.Trolley bus tour very good and Boston full of history and interesting places to visit
We had to take a Uber across the city to activate our hop on hop off bus tickets… why can’t you just scan passes on the app?! Like you do with the other attractions.. The bus driver we had was funny, but provided little information about the historical sites, he actually skipped some of them. He was upset that the previous passengers didn’t tip him. He also put us in a potential dangerous position. He left the driver seat and went to the back of the bus to yell at a homeless man who was banging on an electrical box with a stick. He stopped banging on the box, but started wielding the stick in the air coming close to where me and my daughter were sitting in an open air bus. We also were unable to use our passes in Salem. We had to get on the app to make a reservation, but they sold out in 2 hours! Why don’t they have some set aside for Go-City This was the only day we could visit Salem..
Such a beautiful city. So much to see and do. We didn't get to do it all so need to return. Disappointing Fall and Foliage Tour though, as the Foliage had not really got started to turn. Hard to know when you book a tour if the leaves have begun to turn. Do not miss the John F Kennedy Memorial Museum. Fascinating! Fabulous restaurant Toscana in Charles Street.
We have used Go City passes in several West Coast cities, and using the Go City Boston pass was fantastic. We were able to see and experience so many things in a quick and efficient manner. It was fantastic!
That it was a horrible trip. We had went to places on the list that said we don’t take that pass such as the Boston tea party . There were hop on hop off busses that said they did not take the pass. We were exhausted from walking 10 miles around the city to be told they did not take that pass.
