We used to live in Massachusetts and so already knew a fair bit of the history of the North End area. The tour Thatcher provided gave us new insights and new information that was really interesting. His approach is easy-going and fun. The food choices he provided were all exceptional, and delicious. I would do this tour again as it was truly fun and tasty as well. I highly recommend it!

The majority of the tour will take place in Boston's North End. Your guide will take you across the Rose Kennedy Greenway to the cobblestone streets of Boston's oldest neighborhood. You'll learn about local legends, uncover secrets from the past, and hear the stories of the Italian and Irish immigrants that made this neighborhood what it is today. Along the way, you'll savor authentic Italian classics, such as cannoli, pizza, and handmade pasta at 3 different food stops.
Photo opportunity at the beautiful Paul Revere Mall as we dive into the myths and separate fact from fiction for this Boston legend.
We will view the Paul Revere House from the outside, and your guide will give you insider knowledge, history, and tales from the life of Paul Revere and the untold history of the house itself.
After enjoying some amazing Italian food in the North End, we head back across the greenway to the Boston Public Market. BPM is a marketplaces focused on real local businesses in New England, sustainability, and quality. We will sample some seasonal New England specialties, such as honeys, nuts, jams, ciders, or donuts. Afterward, we head to a local seafood co-op for one of Boston's most iconic dishes, the Lobster Roll!

Very fun and informative tour. Thatcher has put together a great walking tour of the North End with fun historical information you don't usually get. And the food is top notch.
Thatcher’s Food Tour starts with flavors that solidify the rich, delicatessen experience that follows throughout the whole tour. It’s also a reminder that all great stories, even of our American Founding Fathers are stretched with mythos. It’s a compelling food and historical tour with quips and jokes in abundance. I am addicted to the dessert from the tour.
The perfect touring experience! Normally I wouldn't be interested in guided tours, but this was such a good combo. You got to try amazing variety of food and it was spaced out enough to enjoy everything without feeling too full to keep going. The tour guide was great at mixing in the history of Boston and making it fun to listen to throughout the tour. He was also really good about making sure you had other delicious options if you had food allergies or different tastes. Went on the pub crawl afterwards with him as well, and had just as much a good time. All around awesome experience!
The tour was exactly as expected - lots of history and amazing food! The three hours went way too fast; we could have stayed all day with Thatch, our tour guide. He was fun, knowledgeable, very positive and upbeat. He has done his research to find a sampling of the best foods in the North End. We were in a small group and it was fun to get to know the other people, too. Highly recommend!
Thatcher is a natural! He made our tour of the North End informative, mostly accurate, and exceptionally delicious. The food sampling was well curated. The tour was a great value and more than exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend!! Most importantly, arrive hungry.
Wonderful time! Funny, Informational, Delicious food, good sized servings, and Thatcher was considerate of our timing! Highly Recommend
North End GLUTEN FREE tour gem. Only two of us were gluten-free & we’re totally catered too. HOW NICE! The other seven enjoyed too. Lots of food & lots of history! Glad we booked it!
I came to the food tour with my family and we all agree that mostly accurate food tour was a great and delicious experience! Shoutout to the tour guide Thatcher who focused on relatable parts of North End history while also keeping the tour light and interactive. My mom doesn’t speak English well but Thatcher was very attentive and willing to repeat or clarify anything she was unclear about which was super nice! The food was delicious, especially pumpkin raviolis at Bencottos.
Had a great 3 hours exploring the Boston’s North End, and Thatcher was an absolute joy! The food was incredible ( my favorite was the lobster roll!) and the Thatcher was hilarious during the walking part of the tour as he told us the history of the area. Well worth the price, I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone looking into doing a food tour in Boston.
Such a great tour! Thatcher is truly an amazing guide. He’s knowledgeable, fun, and has a way of making Boston’s history feel like a story instead of a lecture. I’ve been in the area for a few years now and still came away with facts I’d never heard before! I also had a dietary restriction going in and was a little nervous about it, but Thatcher handled it without missing a beat. Now of course the most important part: the food. Generous portions, absolutely delicious, and I loved the variety. It also helps that the owners at each spot were super friendly and welcoming! The tour was around 3 hours, and the walking was broken up in between each food and info stop, so it’s definitely doable even if you’re not a big walker. We had a group of about 10 people and Thatcher did a great job making everyone feel included the whole time, it never felt like you were just tagging along in a crowd. I also found it pretty funny that at multiple points in the tour we had other tourists trying to listen in, he’s just that good of a storyteller! I’ve done another north end food tour before and it doesn’t even hold a candle (…or a lantern 😉) to the Mostly Accurate tour. Seriously if you’re considering doing a tour, just do it!
Went on a group food trip with Thatcher and absolutely loved this experience! We got to try a bunch of different meals, as well as visit some local stores - all accompanied with Thatcher's in-depth stories about the area and food we were trying, and his sharp jokes set up the mood for the entire walk! Pumpkin ravioli was my favorite of the day! Highly recommend if you've tried some guided tours in the area and they just made you yawn, or if you're new to Boston and unsure of what activity to choose to ensure it's not just another boring and rushed run around the same spots everybody else is seeing. Good for a family activity - he even put in an effort to accommodate the needs of my friends with allergies/dietary restrictions. Thank you Thatcher!
My friends and I had an great time with Thatcher on our tour. This isn't just another tour. You experience great food, tons of laughs, and still get some great insight into parts of Boston and it's history. I totally recommend taking a tour!
Fantastic tour with delicious food. Tour guide was energetic, knowledgeable, and friendly. The guide had everything setup ahead of time for seamless stops at different places so we could enjoy the food and atmosphere of the city. Was a great way to see a historic district of Boston and enjoy local and interesting cuisine. Highly recommend for tourists and locals alike to find something new.
Had a great time learning about the history of Boston and trying some new spots! The lobster rolls were particularly a favorite. Definitely recommend if you’re in town!
Discover Boston’s rich history with a twist of humor and a dash of deliciousness! Thatcher, the witty tour guide from Mostly Accurate, made our journey through this historic birthplace both entertaining and educational. With perfectly timed food stops, we savored every bite while soaking up cool facts. I left with a full belly and some neat facts. Those pumpkin raviolis are killer!
Thatcher was such an entertaining, knowledgeable, and personable guide! We loved our food walking tour of Boston’s North End. I was delightfully satiated from all of the food offered on the tour and surprised by the variety. The highlight for sure was the pumpkin ravioli at Ben Cotto. However, it was very cool to get to meet some of the local owners like at Q’s Nuts and learn more about not just Boston’s history as a city but their stories as well. All in all 10 star experience, would book again.
