I booked this tour as a morning anniversary gift for my husband and my 35th anniversary as we were spending 5 days in Boston last week to attend evening concerts that were part of a music workshop in which our daughter was participating. There were 4 of us in the tour group along with our guide, Saba. Saba was so pleasant, knowledgeable, accommodating, informative, and friendly. We learned a lot about Beacon Hill - both history and current day. Saba gave us some good photo tips, AND she took some fantastic photos of us - individually and as couples - along the way. All in all, this was an enjoyable, relaxing, illuminating adventure. Thank you, Saba! I hope our paths cross again.
Saba was excellent. Very knowledgeable and wonderful to speak with during the walk. Flexible to our interests and our time line.
Saba brought us into heart of Beacon Hill, Truly was one of the best tours we have been on in our travels 🩷 Thank you so much for bringing Beacon Hill, her stories, and her people to life for us- all the way down to the real life experience of meeting and chatting with a world famous author whose medical thrillers we’ve read.
Saba was a lovely tour guide! She was very knowledgeable about Boston history and even extended our tour to include the Cheers bar! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her! Highly recommend!!
Saba was so knowledgeable about the history and architecture. It seemed to be a huge passion for her and we got to benefit from this. We really enjoyed.
This tour was fantastic! The tour guide, Saba, is so delightful and she is full of knowledge on the history of Beacon Hill and gives great photography tips!
Saba had a wealth of information on history and architecture and I have great photos as a keepsake!
This was a fun way to get to know Beacon Hill while learning some interesting iPhone tips. Recommend.
If something comes up that makes tour difficult to attend, you give a refund quickly. You are attentive to the client.
We spent an afternoon with Saba walking around Beacon Hill, and found at each stop we learned something new and interesting about the various houses and locations (we live in Boston and have walked through this area often). We also enjoyed seeing some of the hidden courtyard gardens, and Saba was very knowledgeable about the neighborhood and residents (both former and current) of Beacon Hill. A wonderful way to get to know Beacon Hill, and I would highly recommend this tour.
I had the best time! It was a rainy day but very beautiful. It was just Saba and I. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and I learned a lot about the houses, buildings and people both past and present. She truly loves the area. I got great tips on photo taking with my iPhone and am excited to put my new “skills” to use! Thank you for such a wonderful time!
Outstanding tour and exceptional guide. We had a fantastic afternoon. The highlights were at The Fairmount and in The Public Library. So much information from our guide!
Saba is a delightful host for the Beacon Hill neighborhood. She has been giving tours for 20 years or so, and knows the back stories of the area. She gave us some great tips on how to photograph the area and our pictures are gorgeous! If you are interested in learning things about Beacon Hill that are not in the guidebooks, and you want to come away with some beautiful photographs, this tour is for you.
Walking through Beacon Hill was wonderful and our guide was certainly knowledgeable about the neighborhood. We would have liked to have had more photography tips, though.
This tour with Saba was absolutely fantastic. She is so smart and knows the area extremely well. She makes the tour so personal because she knows people who live in the community and told us of many interesting back stories. She was open to all questions and always had an answer. I found her pacing very comfortable. Saba was such a great tour guide, that we took another one of her tours the very next day. She also gave us some really cool photo ideas with our I phones. Thank you Saba for being such a sweet person and making part of our Boston visit so memorable. Greg and Iris from Los Angeles.
Saba was very sweet and informative. You could tell she loves doing these tours. It was a very nice experience.
This was a unique and fun walking tour. It ended up being a private tour, and Saba had such great stories and knowledge of the area. She answered any and all of our questions -- whether it was about photography or the area. She suggested great shots and framing tricks as well as took some pictures of us, which was appreciated. We liked that it was a casual pace and we could hear stories that might not be typically shared.
A lovely walking tour highlighting historical and architecturally interesting homes in the Beacon Hill district. The added fun on this tour is learning how to take more visually interesting photos. The guide, Saba, is friendly, knowledgable, and loves to share stories. I enjoyed this more leisurely, laid-back walking tour.
She has a lot of knowledge about this area and I loved her attention to detail and her appreciation of Beacon Hill.
Tour guide was very nice and helpful to take pictures, was a beautiful experience and to learn about Beacon Hill with her was a pleasure.
Saba was kind, friendly and very much willing to share her knowledge of Beacon Hill , she was such a joy and made the tour an experience to remember
This is a small group tour which is good .. but designed for very basic photo skills with iPhones.. The guide had some knowledge of history .. but not in depth and was repeatedly trying to impress us with the high cost of real estate.
This was such an excellent tour. Saba knows everything about Beacon Hill – lots of insider information! There were plenty of photo opportunities and I picked up quite a few tips for taking better photographs. Would definitely recommend this tour.
If anyone has difficulty with uneven surfaces I might consider a different walking tour. The cobblestone streets and sidewalks were charming but you must pay attention to where you were walking.
Interesting insight into the history of Beacon Hill along with photo tips! Our guide was a knowledgeable resource for the neighborhood!
Interesting tour, knowledge guide. Small group allowed for plenty of time for questions and pictures.
Very informative and enjoyable tour. Weather was perfect and Saba (?) was lovely. The Beacon Street neighborhood is beautiful. Loved the tour & her picture taking pointers.
Beautiful and interesting. Our guide had fun facts and knew so much about the neighborhood. We enjoyed a fun conversation with a local worker
Good way to see the Beacon Hill area and receive some good photo tips as well. Saba shows you the best way to use your phone or camera and will give you as much instruction as you'd like. Very pleasant and communicative. She also took some great photos of our group using our phones.
Saba was knowledgeable, easy to understand and had great tips on photography and well as great stories about the homes, land, buildings and people. She's an expert with i-phone and I have an android. I wasn't able to use any iPhone tips but her composition tips were excellent. Unfortunately it was a super hot day - 90 degrees with 90% humidity. And very little breeze or shade. And beacon hill is concrete and brick. My friend and I only last an hour of our tour then headed home.
Saba is a great storyteller and she sees the sites of the tour through the eyes of an artist. We loved being reminded of stories we've known and hearing new ones. Beacon Hill is one of the oldest sections and an absolutely beautiful part of Boston. Such a wonderful tour. Thank you.
Saba was a great photo guide. Im a life long local and experienced photographer, she brought us to places I hadn’t photographed before. Her historical background commentary was a great addition. The pace was perfect with plenty of time to shoot. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun photo walk with a history narrative. If you’re coming to Boston and want to get some great pictures of Beacon Hill this is a great value.
Saba is an excellent tour guide. We really enjoyed touring Beacon Hill and learning about its history. She also gave us insight into great places to take photos.
This was a very pleasant experience! Saba is very knowledgeable and friendly, and went above and beyond to help me get the best photos. I highly recommend this tour
This was such an amazing tour. Saba, the guide, has been taking people around Boston for more than 20 years. She was so entertaining and informative. She took us all around historic Beacon Hill and the Boston Common and Public Garden. Not only did she know the history of all the beautiful homes and streets in the neighborhood, but she knew the owners and even had photos of the interiors of some of the buildings. Saba also points out unique photos to take and gives you tips on how to take them. Thank you Saba for such a memorable day!
Saba is a great guide who pointed out so many interesting details in Beacon Hill. This tour is like the saying, "stop and smell the roses." You walk and see a lot of things you would probably just pass by or simply notice but never bother to find out about, but Saba gets you to stop, look and learn!
100 out of 10 would recommend a walking photo tour with Saba, she was amazing! She was so friendly and you can tell she LOVES sharing all the fun facts about Boston and all the stops along the way. There were so many areas we would've just walked right past, but hearing the story behind what you would otherwise deem "just a door" or "just a window", made the area come to life! Saba gave us great tips for some of the photo opps, and offered to take photos of us so that we could be in some together. I wish we had more time in Boston so we could do more tours with Saba. She also emailed us links so i could further learn about some of the important figures in Boston's history. If you are in this amazing city, do not miss this tour! Saba, we will not forget our amazing time here, thanks to you!
This was such a beautiful tour with a wonderful guide who loves her job and is all about helping you understand how to enjoy the tour as much as she does. I loved it and the whole family was very pleased and grateful to have experienced it.
When I signed up for this day, I was very excited. It exceeded all of my expectations, and Saba, the photographer who led the experience, amazed me. She was so friendly and was a wealth of information about Beacon Hill. I have lived in Boston and knew very little about this area. The tidbits she would come up with just further piqued my curiosity. I have not done much of my photography on the iPhone. Saba helped me to frame things in a way that had not considered - and, what a difference it made. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, did some great photography and I intend to sign up again. Saba is outstanding!!!
Very little history was discussed. Too much time was spent on looking in people’s windows and finding architectural curiosities. We found out very little about famous people who used to live there.
Excellent tour! We (my teen son and I) walked up and down Beacon Street before the tour and Saba took us back behind to the neighborhoods and told us all about the more regular people. Very interest facts and made it very relatable. Fascinating and she had lots of interior pictures of homes to make it really come alive. Acorn Street was very cool and the diversity of people really amazing. The slave couple who fled north in disguise and also the first home on Beacon Hill was built by black men. My son and I learned so much. Really fantastic!
Saba is a very knowledgeable, personable and experienced guide, who made the tour very enjoyable and worthwhile.
We had so much fun on this tour. We learned a lot of history about the residents and buildings of Beacon Hill while learning how to take good pictures on our phones. Our tour guide Saba was knowledgeable, fun and friendly. She knows many of the residents of Beacon Hill and has great stories! Do this tour!
Enjoyed the tour! The pace was just right, allowing me to truly absorb the surroundings without feeling rushed. Saba’s relaxed and pleasant demeanor made the experience feel personal, as if we were exploring the area with a local friend. The tour offered beautiful opportunities for photography, showcasing stunning architecture, vibrant fall foliage, and delightful Halloween decorations. With just one other couple in the group, the intimate setting enhanced the experience, allowing for engaging conversation and a more relaxed atmosphere. Overall, it was a calming and enjoyable way to appreciate the beauty of the season while capturing memorable photos. Highly recommend!
My wife and I did the Beacon Hill walking tour and it was amazing. We learned so much from our tour guide Saba. She was very informative and kind. She gave us great tips on how to take photo centric pictures. We will definitely be back to Boston to book more tours with her!
We enjoyed the tour so much. We learned so much about the area and the people who live there now. Thank you.
Guide was so much fun and shared many interesting stories. We had great locations to take photos. Really enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend!!!
This was a fantastic small group walking tour. We were shown fun things in Beacon Hill and told background stories. Also given great photographic tips.
This Photowalk of Beacon Hill was terrific. It is a great tour to do if you like exploring a unique neighborhood in more detail, gain a deeper perspective on the history, the architecture and the people who have lived in Beacon Hill in the past and what it's like to live there today. If you're a photo enthusiast, there are a number of very interesting views and compositions to consider and capture. Saba was a terrific guide who has deep knowledge of the neighborhood and was a wonderful tour guide. As a native Bostonian I have been through Beacon Hill a number of times but this time I saw a range of features, architectural details and perspectives I never have before. Highly recommend for anyone interested in a deeper tour of Beacon Hill. And for any Star Wars fans out there - there is a really neat and fun window box worth checking out!
