Liam was an excellent tour guide! He was on time, knowledgeable and entertaining! We enjoyed lobster Mac & cheese, pizza, prosciutto dolce & provolone and babka! Everything was delicious, but the standouts were the lobster Mac and the babka! I would recommend this tour to others. Next time I will book the longer tour to experience other food! PS - Send Liam to Italy!

Liam was a great tour guide! A wealth of knowledge and kept it real and honest.
Great tour with Tommy. Highly recommend!
Excellent tour, Bryce was a great guide. We visited some hidden gems. Definitely recommend!
Buyer beware. Over-promised & under-delivered. What a disappointment. We were promised five food stops on this booking and only received four. The food stops were disorganized and poorly managed. We would wait on the side of a busy street for 15 minutes while the guide attempted to get food. Not a single stop was prepared for us and we did not have a stop with less than a 15 minute wait for food. We’ve been on food tours in the past where the food was ready for us at each stop so we understand how good tours are managed – this was most definitely not the case with this tour. All the time waiting for food could have been filled with history or discussion – it was not. He left us alone the entire waits. We scrunched up on the side of street wall waiting. Our tour guide was simply checking the boxes of walking us from place to place to get food. At one food stop, the shop owner came out to scold our tour guide for our group standing around so long and obstructing their walkways and workflow. She admonished him for how dangerous it was to have us standing around. At our last food stop, after waiting for 15 minutes, our guide did not even get enough food for everyone. The last lady in line graciously said it was “okay” and the tour guide did nothing to try and secure the missing serving to make it right. Three of the itinerary history stops listed in “What To Expect” did not happen. I can understand if our schedule changes and we did not see one, or maybe two stops, but three…wow. By the way, the weather was excellent so that is not the reason. After the “food tour” we did our own self-guided tour to see the sites that were over-promised and under-delivered on this tour and discovered we walked by the Old North Church and our tour guide never pointed it out or told us the significance of the church. We were also very nearby the Paul Revere house, but our tour guide never mentioned it. What an opportunity lost. I would very much like a refund for what seemed like a bait-and-switch operation.
Liam our tour guide was amazing he knows so much about the city past and present. And the food was amazing.
Marilyn was a great guide; super friendly knowledgeable. She shared a lot of history on not only the food but Boston as well and gave additional food recommendations for after the tour.
The tour was a great way to get to know some top food spots in the north end. You are left extremely full so don't eat a head of time. Hannah was very kind and sweet. I wish there was a little more discussion on the history of the places we visited but the food was good.
Liam was excellent!! He knew so much history! The food was delicious!! Really enjoyed alll the stops and Liam made it super fun!
Great day with Liam, send this guy to Italy!
Jessica was a wonderful tour guide. She knew alot about the history of the area and had great knowledge of the food.
Jack was great but the tour was not as advertised. It was a lot of history with a sprinkle of food. We did not see the stops as listed nor have the food. We had lobster Mac and cheese, pizza, Italian ice and the secret food.
Great experience! Our tour guide taught us a v lot about Boston.
This tour was food for the body and food for the soul. Elizabeth was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic as our tour guide. I highly recommend her.
Liam was great and knowledgeable. Though the instructions for the meeting spot on TripAdvisor were outdated, please update.
Marilyn was just who we were looking for in a guide on our first trip and first tour in Boston. She was knowledgable about the area and offered up delicious food along our route. We couldn’t have gotten better!
Great job by Sean! Very informative!
Evan was amazing! He was flexible, creative, knowledgeable, personable, and a ray of sunshine on a rainy day. It poured and he was able to rearrange our tour to accommodate the weather and our needs. Fantastic tour guide!!!.
This was a well put together perfectly paced and well balanced tour. Sean was fully engaged and engaging and we all enjoyed ourselves and have more places to go back to and sample again. Highlight was the chowder and pizza. Maith thú
Liam gave a fantastic tour!! We saw a lot of local history and tried staple foods. Highly recommend this tour
Jack was amazing! Very knowledgeable about everything from the food to the history!
Gabriel was a great guide! Despite our rainy day, we ate in some quaint, dry places, and the food was delicious! I highly recommend this experience!
Great tour of North Side with our guide, Sean. The food was great and our guide was friendly and knew a lot about the area.
We had a wonderful experience learning more about Boston and tasting great food! Elizabeth, who is Italian, knew so much history about the North End to make the tour so enjoyable.
We did a secret tour with Sean and it was amazing. Great guide, very personable, and made it a really enjoyable experience.
This is a great tour, mix of history and food. Lots of funny stories and anecdotes. Our guide was Jack and he was the best. So funny and knowledgeable.
Fantastic boston food tour with Bryce...we enjoyed every tasting! Thanks
Sean Delaney was an excellent tour guide and knows Boston history. He shared his knowledge with ease and had personal experience with the proprietors of the establishments we visited. We had a very congenial group on our tour and everyone enjoyed the food, the information shared, and the company. Sean was especially helpful when my husband had a fall, and continued to check on him during and after the tour. I highly recommend this tour, and if Sean is your guide it will be a bonus.
Jessica was fun and thorough. Her pre-tour text was welcoming and finding her was easy. We have done many Secret Food Tours around the world and this had more stops and more full portioned servings than others. We left stuffed and happy.
I didn’t realize it was an “express” tour, felt kind of rushed. The food was delicious and loved the donut.
Great food choices. Pizza was the best I ever tasted. And as a New York resident that says a lot. Could have used a bit more history of the area. Guide/host was very accommodating and patient with our group which had several with walking difficulties.
5+ tour! So much yummy food with bits of history! Sean was a fantastic tour guide!
This was another very enjoyable Secret Food tour for us. Our guide, Chloe, was amazing - very knowledgeable about the places we stopped at and the North End neighborhood of Boston in general. The weather was glorious, the food was tasty, and the whole experience was fun and lively. Secret Food has food tours nailed - highly recommended.
Great guide - great food. Jack was so fun. He really knows his history. He made the afternoon so special.
Liam was a great guide! Well worth the money, great variety of food. Very enjoyable.
AK was so much fun and showed us around a small sampling of the North End. I also really appreciated her recommendations for where to go after and complete a few more spots for Arancini. The group size was small and friendly with 4 people and it made the time just fly by.
Elizabeth was the MOST amazing tour guide I think I have ever had. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone take so much pride in the place they live and just have so much love for her community and the restaurants in it. From all of the little holes of the best place to get coffee beans all the way to the best place to get chowder she is on top of it and doesn’t hesitate to let you in on the secrets. She found out it was my birthday and made it so special. Frankly I think she would have done just as good a job even if it wasn’t my birthday. If you are thinking of booking it do it. (She also doubles as an amazing photographer for people who forget to take photos of themselves for memories.)
What a pleasant history and tour. We learned so much about Boston , not just the North End . Sean was very knowledgeable of all of the history of Boston. He kept my young kids entertained something which is difficult to do. Would highly recommend .
The food was delicious and there was a good mix of Italian and Boston favorites Bring your appetite!!! You will need it!
Anna-Kathryn was a great tour guide and gave us lots of interesting facts about Boston as well as insights in to the food. Go hungry - this is a LOT of food in 2 hrs! Really recommended.
We always have a food tour in every city break. Boston was no exception and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Sean our guide was very informative about the city’s history and took us to some local hideaway places to sample clam chowder, pizza annd the famous Boston cream pie. An extra treat was a local community food market which we revisited on another day to buy gifts to take home. We also took his recommendation for a lunch visit the following day to the oldest restaurant in Boston…the Union Oyster which was amazing.
This was a great tour. Anna Katherine was very knowledgeable and fun to be around.
Evan was a great tour guide. It was a lot of fun and tasty food!
This was an awesome tour and Chloe was a wonderful guide! We loved the mix of history and food. We chose this tour because two hours was perfect for our schedule. Chloe’s enthusiasm for sharing Boston’s history and its delicious food made our day! We will definitely book another Secret Food Tour next time we are in Boston.
