There is a lot of walking on uneven surfaces like brick and cobblestone. I’m not into true crime at all, but I found this tour fascinating. Our tour guide, Tony, was very engaging. There were a couple places we were able to sit at the beginning and end of the tour. Loved that it ended at the Liberty Hotel and were able to go in to grab some drinks and warm up.

Very knowledgeable tour guide! A lot of spooky stories and loved seeing the locations to go along with them. We loved this tour!
Spencer was entertaining and fun! The stories were fascinating and we saw some beautiful streets in Beacon Hill.
Our tour guide, Van, was incredibly knowledgeable. He told some great stories. I would’ve liked to have heard more recent true crime stories, but the ones he told us were very interesting.
We had a great time on this walking tour! It was very informative and entertaining. We hope to come back again and try out other tours that this company offers!
Van was the best guide! He told us all about true crime history and he gave wonderful recommendations for photo opportunities and food in Boston!
The tour was great as we had a dark fall evening and fun Halloween decorations. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining as he shared historical info, crime stories, and architectural highlights.
Nice walk through the Beacon Hill neighborhood but don’t be expecting to learn about any gruesome crimes. I think we heard maybe three-odd stories total, because the ones we heard were very long-winded and frankly could have been 1/3 shorter. They tell you to meet at 24 Beacon Street but the actual meet-up is in front of the state building about 200 feet away. And just be aware, our guide had a flag sticking out of his backpack so don’t stand too close or else risk being hit by the stick. Between that, and his rocking back and forth, it was hard to look at him without being distracted. But Beacon Hill is pretty at night.
Tony was the greatest tour guide of any tour we have ever been on. He was a stellar story teller and provided us an evening of history, horror and excitement. I could not recommend this tour more. For true crime junkies, we learned about stories that we have never heard of and learned even more about infamous stories that are more widely known. Definitely check this tour out!
Our guide was amazing! Very knowledgeable in the history of the area and the true crime stories! My husband and I both enjoyed learning all the info! Highly recommend!
Very interesting tour. We enjoyed it.
This is a tour that should NOT be “rain or shine.” It was pouring during our tour and as the tour went on, the more people bailed. We made it maybe 45 mins. Our guide didn’t have a microphone and between the rain and the traffic it was difficult to hear him. While the weather was not his fault, his storytelling left something to be desired. Each story took longer than necessary and weren’t particularly compelling. As we trudged back to our car, soaking wet, we definitely felt ripped off.
So much fun and super informative. Absolutely loved where the tour ended at a hotel that used to be a prison.
Excellent. Great true crime stories I’d never heard before.
Excellent story telling! Love listening to true crime and I got to see where it happened !
Fantastic tour with very intriguing crime stories. Van was a wonderful storyteller. Highly recommend.
Our guide, Van, was fantastic and very knowledgeable. His story telling skills are great, we were fully invested in everything the whole time. Even random, specific little questions we had he knew the answers to. The tour itself had a great flow. I would 100% do this again. The value for the quality was great. I would absolutely recommend this tour as a necessity for anyone looking to do an all inclusive day in Boston, especially in fall or during the spooky season.
Absolutely the best tour we had on our trip. Tony is an excellent storyteller and he made every second of the tour interesting. As a long time true crime junkie, I was pleasantly surprised that I had only heard of 2 of the crimes he told us about. Do not skip out on this tour.
This was easily our favorite tour during our stay in Boston. My husband and I were enthralled by every story Tony shared. We enjoyed it so much, we immediately went online to find other available hours that Tony leads. I am a history teacher of 24 years and true crime junkie for even longer, yet I had never even heard of 6 of the 8 stories Tony told. Absolutely fascinating.
It was very easy to find our meeting point and the host was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour route was a very manageable walk through some beautiful historic neighborhoods. We had a great time and learned a lot about the history of the city at various points in time.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and told his stories with depth and vigor. I was enthralled from start to finish!
I loved this tour! It was so informative. Even the serial killer cases I was familiar with had details I had never heard before. The tour guide is great and makes the experience so much fun! You can tell he has done extensive research on these crimes and he really knows the history.
Tony was great! He had wonderful true crime stories relevant to Boston. Only one story was I aware of. He was fabulous. If you like true crime, you will enjoy this!
Great time,! Excellent experience. It guide was personable and extremely knowledgeable about the stores he told. And very funny!
We had an excellent tour guide. He provided both Boston history (starting from founding) and crime stories. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his Boston stories. We had a small group and could easily hear everything he said. For me, I would like for the tour to be just two hours, as expected. After a long day on our feet throughout Boston, we did not expect the extra 20+ minutes of stories. Yes - I got more for my money, but I was simply too tired by the end.
Van was a fantastic tour guide. He was friendly, thoughtful and made us feel comfortable. I loved the way his stories were grounded in factual information and the way he weaved history and true crime together.
This was a great tour! Antoine was very personable and knowledgeable. We loved hearing all the sinister stories of Beacon Hill!
We were not sure what to expect, but the tour and expert information provided by the guide made the evening very enjoyable. Starting the tour while it was still light and eventually ending the evening in darkness just added to the experience as the crimes described also got darker with the night.
Tony was really great! Enjoyed my experience. Thank you!
The beacon hill true crime, was a great tour. We really enjoyed it and our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable that it made the experience definitely worth it
What a great experience with this tour. Great tour guide, Tony who was very knowledgeable and interesting. Thank you Tony. Sold out tour but small enough group of 25 to be able to hear and walk along the route and not missing anything. Would recommend this Beacon Hill True Crime Tour while in Boston. Beacon Hill is just beautiful and you will enjoy seeing these beautiful places as well.
25 people in the group was just too many
Can't say enough about how great of a tour it is! Tony was an incredible guide!
Found it through our Go City pass and was glad we chose this as one of our experiences. Our guide was super knowledgeable and presented the tour perfectly. Really learned a lot too.
Tony was our guide for this tour. Myself, my sister and my cousin took a 4 day girls trip to Boston and chose this as one of our tours. He was very informative and made the tour very interesting!! This was well worth the cost, as we had looked into a couple other things to do as well.
Tony was amazing! He was so thorough and even in a large group (there ended up being 25 of us lastnight) he was able to project the entire evening! He was so charismatic and the stories he told were captivating. Thank you for what has been my favorite tour in Boston.
Andy was really enthusiastic and has a really great way of telling the history of some of Boston’s most iconic crimes.
Had a great time. Tour guide Tony was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone interested in the crime history of Boston
Very interesting tour with Tony covering some interesting stories of Boston
Tony is great. He is so knowledgeable. We also did the pub crawl with him.
Tony was awesome. My teens, husband and I had a blast. We learned a lot of an area of town we would not have known about. Highly recommend definitely a highlight for our vacation
We bought a Gocity pass and it was included with the purchase. We had to reserve directly on the Top dog site. It was really easy. Our guide Tony Boisvert was really nice and fun. We enjoyed the tour really much!
Andrew, the trained thespian, was our guide. We had no idea what we were in for, but by the end we were taking notes in order to read more into the crime stories he shared. He even showed us his image on the back of a bus as a gravedigger! The next day my 13 year old saw the image again on another bus and was quick to point out Andy! Thank you, Andy, for the interesting crime stories of Beacon Hill.
I thought it would be more modern day but it was very historical. It was interesting all the same and the tour guide was excellent!
Our tour guide Andy was exceptional. We learned about many crimes in Boston from many different time periods and also walked around a good portion of Beacon Hill. It was a lot of walking so I appreciated that the tour ended right by a subway entrance that made it easy to get back to our hotel.
Very Entertaining tour of Beacon Hill on a perfect summer evening. Andrew, our guide, was a very engaging storyteller.
One of the best tour guides I have ever seen. Charismatic, funny , knowledgeable, never ending banter . The way he tells a story keeps you intrigued until the end without a second of boredom . I highly recommend you keeping Tony forever . And we did actually 3 tours with him and I wish we booked more
He is very informative and expert to his craft. It seems you can feel youre on the actual crimescene while he is storytelling.
Andy was a great guide ! His stories were engaging and interesting. This was my favorite tour. We also did the Freedom Trail and Duck Tour. My family went on the same tour month earlier with another guide and highly recommend it . I am assuming all of their guides are fabulous! The only thing that would have made it better would have been less heat, but they have no control over that one! Loved walking through Beacon Hill!
Tour was awesome. Tony was extremely knowledgeable and a very good story teller. Highly recommend!
