The Godfrey Hotel Boston

From the minute you arrive, you greeted with the above and beyond service of all the employees. From the valet attendants all the way to the maintenance employees. The location was awesome steps away from everything. The room was nice and clean. The little things the hotel did was what made this stay so enjoyable. Every evening they had a cart that would have pop corn bags or candy (the kids loved this). Highly recommend staying here

Stayed here 5 days for a convention and was really happy here. It's definitely pricey, and the rooms are on the small side, but the beds are very comfortable, the pillows were wonderful, and everything was clean and in order. Staff was very helpful and friendly every time I asked for something and housekeeping was extremely friendly. They had umbrellas to use, which was awesome since it rained a lot. Some rooms don't have appliances, but they delivered a fridge, microwave, and fan to us when we asked. Never heard even a whisper from neighboring rooms. Just a very nice hotel to stay at, would definitely stay here again.

Basic rooms in need of a refurbishment, staff was not as helpful as described by other reviews. I would consider them to be polite to the minimum required for someone working in the service industry. The beds are comfortable. Good location.

We stayed at the Godfrey in mid-May this year and had a wonderful experience. Location is right in the middle of downtown, so you can walk to Boston Common, the bay area, Fanueil Hall / Quincy Market, and other cool spots within 10-15 minutes. Service at the hotel was top notch. You can tell when a hotel is managed well when every hotel employee proactively greets you and looks to engage with you and ask you how your stay is going. Godfrey hotel employees were very professional, helpful, and positive in their interactions. The room was very nice, too. We had a King room and the bed was SO comfortable, the snacks and waters included in the room were a nice touch, and everything was clean and modern. The coffee shop and bar area downstairs was always buzzing, too. Good bar for a drink before dinner and the coffee shop George Howell, which is attached to the hotel, makes a great cup of joe and delicious pastries and baked goods. We will definitely stay at the Godfrey again if/when we revisit Boston.
